(Scaramouche pov)

I slowly open my eyes to see Y/n sitting infront of me on the ground; her back facing me as she's leaning onto the couch caught up in something on her phone.

"What are you doing?" I quietly ask her. She immediately shuts her phone off and shifts her direction towards me. 'Weird'

"You finally up! How are you feeling? Did you sleep well?" She started bombarding me with questions, when I literally just woke up.

"Stop with the questions I just woke up. I slept fine. I feel fine"

"You sure you feel fine? Don't lie to me"

"I'm fine."

"Kunikuzushi. Don't lie." She sounds like my mother good archons

"I feel like shit there happy?"

"Very! Do you need anything? I can reheat your soup if your hungry?"

"I don't need you bombarding me with questions."

"I'm literally just trying to help you"

"You can help me by answering my question. What we're you doing on your phone?"

"It's nothing important! Just some rando number getting me confused for someone!" Liar. I can always tell when she lies to me, she always avoids eyes contact with me or tries to laugh it off

"Hm. Alright. What time is it?" I sit up rubbing my eyes

"11:36"

"Why are you still up? We have school tomorrow"

"I didn't want to leave you, just incase you woke up and needed something"

"I'm fine y/n really, go to bed now. I don't want you to be cranky in the morning"

"Your one to talk."

"Excuse me?"

"I said what I said, your the most crankiest person in the morning"

"Go to bed."

"No, I'm here to take care of you"

"Y/n seriously I'm fine, now go to bed." She keeps looking at me and the bowl of cold soup on the table.

"You didn't even eat your soup that I made you. Fine I'll go, goodnight Scara" she gets up and goes upstairs, she seemed genuinely upset. I wait until she goes all the way upstairs and hear her door shut. Then I go and reheat the soup she made. I couldn't leave her upset for the night.

Once I was done I cleaned up and went upstairs Iris following behind me. Getting in my room I had no motivation to try and change out of my clothes, but I needed to. I quickly change into comfortable attire and take more medicine before I lay down for the night (again). Before I fall asleep I text Y/n.

(Y/n pov)

I don't think I've ever felt upset over something so stupid like that before. It was just some damn soup, but I've never gotten to take care of someone before; so I wanted to do everything he did for me for him. I couldn't tell him about the messages between Mona and I. If I did I knew he wouldn't let it slide.

Her messages unsettled me a bit. Why was she talking about Ayaka? We're they both setting this whole thing up? I haven't heard anything from my mother either. Which was more unsettling to me. Archons who knows what she's planning.

I've never felt more scared of what was gonna come for me. But I try to make the best out of the time I'm with Scaramouche. He's always been wronged by so many people. So I try my best so people try and see a difference in him then what they assume.

I lay there petting Apollo then seeing a message pop up on my phone. I see Scaramouches messages. My heart kinda melted when I read what he said, he didn't let my cooking go to waste.

I couldn't help but smile at myself, even though he always came off as cold and intimidating; he had a really sweet heart. He just only showed it to very few people

And I was one of them

I set my phone on the charger for the night and cuddle up next to Apollo. Tomorrows gonna be my first time back at school after a while. Hopefully it'll be a good day.

(Next morning)

I shot up from my sleep because of how loud my alarm was. 'Right. School...' i check my phone to see it was only 6:00. School didn't start till 6:45 so I had a good amount of time to get ready and for Scaramouche to get ready.

I get out of bed and quietly make my way over to the restroom to go and brush my teeth. Coming back I see Scara walking out of his room, looking even worse than yesterday. I walk over to him

"How are you feeling? You look like shit"

"Damn thanks y/n, I feel gross." I feel his forehead and it was still hot. Poor him.

"Your head is still hot. Do you want to stay home today?"

"Who's gonna take you to school if I stay home?"

"I don't know I haven't thought of that"

"Then I'll go to school." He says walking past me to the restroom. 'Is he really only coming because I don't have a ride?' I shake it off and go get ready for the day.

After getting dressed I put my scarf on to try and help myself from freezing to death. 'Why won't they just give us alternative uniforms for the winter?' I wished they did. After I was ready it was about 6:27 so I go and see so Scara was doing. I knock at his door waiting for him. He opens it still looking tired as ever but was all ready for school.

"Come downstairs I'll make you some toast and give you medicine. You need something in your system before lunch" he then nods and gets everything he needed for the day and followed me downstairs. I still felt bad that hes coming today, he doesn't look well.

"Here sit, I'll quickly make you food" I gesture him over to the table. And I start making himself toast, and getting his medicine. After about 3 minutes I hand him his food, and pills; he swallows them and takes one piece of the toast telling me that I should take the other one and goes to leave the house.

"Are you sure you wanna drive?"

"Mhm. Come on"

It was about 6:35 when we arrived at the school. We get inside and I realize that this was when we would part ways for the whole day. Because of course we don't have any classes together. Before he leaves I grab his hand making him face me.

"Text me if you need anything okay? Take the day easy"

"Y/n I never do my work and sleep all class periods. But I'll text you. Let me know when you get to class." And with that he let go of my hand and left to his class. And I make my way to mine.

Hutao spots me in the hallway she grabs me and links arms with me.

"Hey N/n!! Did you hear about the new student joining today?"

"Uh no? Do you know who they are?"

"No not personally but her name is Mona Megistus"

Oh archons.

"Your kidding me right?"

"No why? Do you know her?"

"I don't but Scara knows her real well." I felt my whole mood change.

"How so? Did they date before?"

"No. That's the girl he punched at his old school. I guess she was completely obsessed with him. Last night at the ice rink, she was there watching us the whole time. That was why we left so early"

"Oh my archons, someone was actually obsessed with him?"

"Not the point Hutao. The point is she's literally crazy. She despises me, look at the messages she sent me last night" I hand her my phone and she looks at the messages between me and Mona. Rereading the last one about Ayaka.

"She's a psycho Jesus! How does she know Ayaka?"

"That's the question I'm asking too. From what I remember Ayaka isint a Transfer so I don't know how she would know her"

"I don't know either Y/n"

"I'm just hoping she's not gonna be in any classes with Scaramouche"

"Why so you don't get jealous? From the looks of it Scaramouche is all eyes for you ma'am." I nudge her in the shoulder as she starts laughing

"Noo mostly because he despises her. I don't want something to happen that'll get him kicked out from here too"

"Such a protective girlfriend, I'm sure he'll be fine N/n now come on we gotta get to homeroom." She drags me all the way to our homeroom class.

(Scaramouche pov)

This headache is absolutely driving me crazy, it hurts to talk. But I couldn't stay home today, it's Y/n's first day back so I wanted to make sure it was good for her. After we both part I go over to my homeroom. I was already dreading today. After a few minutes I make it to my homeroom, i get a message from Y/n telling me she made it to class. Time went by quick and I was now making my way to first period, which was biology; which genuinely who fucking likes that class?

As everyone gets in class the teacher announces that a new student would be joining. 'Why more people in this class..?'

I then see her come in.
The damn bitch fucking followed me?!

"Everyone this is Mona Megistus. She's a transfer from?" The teacher looks over at her; but all she was doing was staring at me. Disgusting

"Oh haha! I transferred from Liuye!" I could feel some more people staring at me. They knew I transferred from there too.

"Well welcome Mona, you may sit next to..." she was looking around the classroom to see where she would seat her. 'Anywhere but near me please.'

I could hardly pay attention anymore to what was going on. My head was literally throbbing. I lay my head down on my desk. Until I hear the teacher yell my name. I pop my head up and see Mona pointing at me. 'Oh fucking archons'

"Is there any way I can sit next to that boy right there?"

"Why?"

"He was a transfer as well and we knew each other well in our old school!" Bullshit.

"Oh alright then, it's good to find familiar faces. You may sit next to him until I can find you a seat."

I could actually jump out of a window right now and be fine with it. Please why is she near me

She literally wouldn't take her eyes off of me, as much as I tried to avoid her eye contact. She makes her way over to the desk next to mine. Pulling her chair closer to me.

"Crazy that we're in this school together now! right Scara?"

I didn't answer her, just scooted my chair further away from her. Putting my head down and sleeping for the whole class. At one point I went on my phone to text Y/n, telling her about Mona. But I could feel Mona staring at my phone.

"Scara you should be paying attention in class silly!"

"Fuck you." I then text Y/n.

I raise my hand asking the teacher if I could use the restroom, she knew this was a daily thing. She let me go, and I made my way over to Y/n's class. I could see her and Hutao sitting at a table by themselves, so I go join. Weirdly enough their sub didn't care.

"There you are! How are you feeling?" She puts her attention towards me

"Y/n I just got out of a class with an annoying bitch, so genuinely not so great."

"I'm sorry, I didn't think she would transfer here." Hutao then joins on the conversation

"Yeah Y/n told me everything, I'm sorry you have to deal with her Scaramouche"

"Did the teacher assign you two together?"

"No literally the bitch asked if she could sit next to me because we were 'good friends' back in our old school"

"I don't know what her definition of good friends is but I sure know punching someone isn't part of it"

"She's crazy. And being sick isint helping me either"

"I know I can hear it in your voice, I'm sorry for making you come today" Y/n leaned her head on my shoulder, trying to be comforting and honestly it helped.

"Y'all are like actually so cute together I'm gonna cry"

(Time skip )

Class fianlly ended and as me and Y/n walked out I see Mona waiting at the door for me. 'How the fuck does she know I'm here?' I let Y/n go so she wouldn't be caught up In this. I try and walk past Mona like I didn't know she was there. But she kept calling out my name trying to get my attention. After I didn't respond to her she came up to me and touched my shoulder.

I immediately swat her hand away, looking at her dead in the eye. "Don't fucking touch me."

"You weren't acknowledging me Kuni-"

"Finish that sentence and I'll send you right back to that damn hospital." She stood there, trying to find something to say. Finally it was my time to get away from her, I walk away trying to make it to my next class.

This was gonna be a fucking day.
