"Hyunjin! You came!"

"It's not like I had a choice, I didn't want my power getting shut off again because you guys don't know what distancing yourself from everyone else means." Hyunjin spat with anger as he replied to Yeji.

"Hyunjin, we have given you 3 years of space. It's time to get out of your hellhole and live your life again. Fe—"

"Don't."

The whole area went silent as Hyunjin radiated a heated and angry aura. No one dared to speak a word when Hyunjin was upset.

Usually in the past when Hyunjin was angry he never used to relinquish his anger on people or anything. He just kept it to himself, not trying to ruin anyone's day or make it even worse.

But Hyunjin changed. He didn't care who or what is was, he would let his anger out he wouldn't hold back either. His criticism got worse over the years too, his personality changed for the worse.

"I apologize. But still, You gotta bring some light back into your darkness. You can't just stay hidden from the world forever. Your helping no one and especially yourself—"

"Look the only people you need to worry about in your life Han, is Minho and your other friends. Same to you Yeji. I don't need you guys constantly checking up on me, asking if I'm ok and telling me to leave my depression behind and just go and have fun. That not how it works." Hyunjin spat to Han and Yeji, stern and clear.

"Speaking of which, Minho and Ryujin were never coming were they? You just used up another excuse for me to come just to see you gu—"

"Come on Hyunjin, we just simply wanted to hang out with one of our friends. Is that such a big deal?! I know your in your bitchy phase right now but honestly, I don't give a fuck."
Han spat angrily.

Hyunjin scoffed "What? Your gonna shut my power off again?! Kidnap me? Take away Kkami and Kkomi?! To prove what—!"

"Shut the fuck up and stop being an asshole! Listen Hyunjin, I'm done with your petty shit. If you want us to leave you alone and never talk to you again just say that! I'm not going to waste my time trying to fix our relationship again and help with your happiness when you don't want it! Yes me and Han are both stubborn but that's just because we are your friends! And no matter what, we will always be your friend's! So get your head out of the fucking gutter and deal with the fact that Felix left! And he's not coming back! You have to move on Jinnie—"

Hyunjin dazed off. He hadn't heard that nickname ever since that night three years ago.

The nickname Felix used to call him when he came back home from a mission.

The nickname Felix spoke when they came across each other each morning to eat breakfast.

The nickname Felix yelled when Hyunjin got in the shower first when they were getting ready for school.

The nickname Felix used to say that gave hyunjin more love and happiness then anything else in the world.

There was a moment of silence. Yeji who rambled through her hearts content, not fully realizing what she said until it was too late.
"Hyunjin I—"

"Forget it." Hyunjin said, his eyes glued to the table.

Hyunjin forcefully got up pushing the chair by harshly "I'm leaving. I'll see you guys at the next mission."

"Wait Hyunjin—!"

But he was already gone.

Hyunjin approached his apartment door, pushing the door open knowing he didn't lock the door before he left. There wasn't a need to lock it anyways since people don't rob apartments unless their stupid.

He hastily made his way to his bedroom. Throwing himself on the bed he started thinking.

"Three years lee Felix and yet— you still have a hold on me." Hyunjin said laughing to himself.

Hyunjin stopped laughing and gritted his teeth instead "Fuck! Leave me alone! You left me! and never turned back!."

"But Alas... I'm still hung up on you. Hung up on your smile, your freckles, your warmth, and just... you."

Hyunjin got up off his bed and started
Approaching his bedside window
"All of these years and you still manage to stay in my mind rent free. Don't you ever get tired?" Hyunjin spoke to himself as he caressed the window softly, looking out through the window.

"Hey Felix!" An unknown figures yelled

Felix whipped his head towards the direction of the voice "Oh, Wooyoung! What's up?"

"Well since we're done practicing, wanna join Me, San, yunho and Mingi for lunch?" Wooyoung asked.

Felix chuckled "Yea, and be a fourth wheel? Thank you for the invitation, but I rather not witness romance in front of my single ass."

"Oh please, you were never a fourth wheel. Did we always make you feel like a fourth wheel?..."  Wooyoung asked feeling a little guilty.

Felix sighed "It's fine, you guys are in love. And I'm happy for you guys. But for gods sake, HOW DOES IT TAKE CHILDHOOD BESTFRIENDS YEARS TO CONFESS THEIR LOVE FOR EACHOTHER?!"

"Tsk, I guess we were blind"

"ʸᵉᵃ,ᵇˡⁱⁿᵈᵉᵈ ᵇʸ ˡᵒᵛᵉ" Felix mumbled to himself.

"What was that?"

"Oh, nothing. But go, have fun, I'll see you guys tomorrow. But please don't come to practice limping. That was a pain explaining to our teacher why you were perfectly fine when we were dancing then an hour later you came back from somewhere limping so bad. I'd have a word with San about it too if I had the chance."
Felix said as he packed his water bottle and other necessities into his backpack.

Wooyoung smirked "What can I say, I love being the bottom to his to—"

"And that's enough of that" Felix intervened before Wooyoung could finish his words.

Wooyoung laughed "alright alright, I'll see ya tmr lix. Don't be late!" Wooyoung said as he started walking off

"Ha, and YOUR telling me this?!"

Felix opened his door to his new apartment or well, the apartment he's been living in for three years now.

He placed his keys and bag on the kitchen counter. Then immediately heading towards his bedroom, where his bed practically called to him, like a siren which would do to a sailor.

Plopping himself on the mattress he thought about the one thing that's been on his mind for the current three years of him being alone.

Hyunjin.

He constantly asked himself everyday on how he was doing.

If he was completing his missions left and right.

If he's still taking care of Kkami and Kkomi.

If he stays safe on every mission he goes on.

And if he did what Felix told him to do.

Forget him.

Almost every night, Felix lay's in his bed and thinks about the situation that took place three years ago. How it started and how it ended.

3 years ago~ the night Felix found out and the night Hyunjin got shot

"Wha... what?" Felix said in between breaths.

Han gulped nervously "Fe—"

"Hyunjin... my hyunnie... is a... assassin?! NO I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THAT. WHAT KIND OF BULLSHI—"

"WHY WOULD I LIE ABOUT THIS FELIX?!" Han yelled.

Felix shut up instantly, his eyes still widened with shock.

"I know Hyunjin has been coming home with random bruises and blood stans and has been acting strangely around you, you know it Felix. Your just trying to deny it because he's your best friend."

"But Hyunjin— how could he ever be a assassin?! He despises anything to do with killing, torturing, blood and gore!"

"He's only did all of that to protect his secret, lix, I know your shocked and somewhat devastated but please, don't be mad at Hyunji—"

"I'm not devastated han, I feel betrayed, YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT THE GUY I HAVE LIVED WITH FOR YEARS AND HAVE GROWN TO LOVE IS A TERROR IN EVERYONES LIVES?!" Felix yelled with pain.

"Hyunjin is not a terror, he never was. This is why he didn't want to tell you Felix, he knew things would take a turn for the wors—"

"Just tell me one thing Han." Felix spat angrily.

Han gave Felix direct eye contact indicating it was ok for him to speak

"Is Hyunjin the mass murderer who I've been seeing on TV, the guy who has been haunting my dreams ever since he made his appearance in my own neighborhood without me even knowing he was there. Please don't tell me the closest person in my life is the one I'm terrified of the most." Felix asked his voice slowly breaking.

Han diverted his gaze to the ground nodding slowly.

Felix caught his breath in an heartbreaking gasp. It felt like he was stabbed in the back by a thousand knives.

"No... n-no... your lying... h- h- hyunnie?... my jinnie?..." Felix said, lip trembling and tears starting to sprout in his eyes.

"Lix im so sorr—"

"Let me see him, I— I need to see him. I refuse to believe any of this until I see for myself."
Felix spoke as he gave Han a scary glare.

"H- he's still in surgery Felix, I can't do anything—"

"Han! Mr. Han Jisung!" A individual called out.

"Yes?" Han replied.

"Mr.Hwang is out of surgery, the surgery was a success but he won't wake up immediately. He's in his room now if you would like to check up on him."

But before the doctor was able to walk away, Felix was sprinting towards Hyunjin's room. Not even having the slightest clue on where it was.

"Felix! Wait!" Han tried to call out.

Felix ignored Han and kept running until Han caught up instantly, harshly grabbing onto his arm.

"Let me go!" Felix whined in an attempt to get out of han's grip.

"Your going the wrong way" Felix stopped himself for a second.

"He's in room 208 down that hall" Han told Felix, which had him running to that direction.

Felix pushed himself through the crowded area of nurses and doctors running around with their carts and notebooks in hand until he finally approached Hyunjin's door to his room.

He was hesitant to open the door, hell even touch it. All thoughts came running into his mind, wondering what would happen after he reveals himself to the possibility of han's words becoming true, and of them not.

But alas, he still opened the door. Revealing himself to a black haired individual laying on the hospital bed in a gown, with needles and an oxygen mask on.

Felix's breath was staggering, he didn't think it was true. It all had to be a lie to him, was what he was telling himself. Standing there in the middle of the doorway. Tears welling up in his eyes. Muttering incoherent words to himself.
But he ended up mustering the courage to walk up to the front Hyunjin's bed.

Hearing the sound of Hyunjin's breathing and the beeps of the life force machine made Felix's heart ache. He slowly approached the bedside and kneeled down having his upper body be in heights of the bed.

Felix daringly put his hand onto Hyunjin's slowly caressing his thumb. He stared at Hyunjin, triggering him, he broke into a sob.
"Why didn't you just tell me hyunnie..." He said, his voice quavering.

"We could've worked it out, I would've been there for you. I- I don't understand what made you think you couldn't trust me... Your my favorite person in the world."

"Seeing you here... holding onto your life...
It's breaking me, honestly... I'm not even mad about the fact that you couldn't tell me, I'm hurt that you felt that you couldn't trust me with the biggest thing in your life, the other part of your life." Felix spoke his words breaking him inside as he kept staring at the individual laying in the bed.

The next thing Felix saw was two people at the doorway to Hyunjin's room. He softly chuckled to himself "She knew it to huh?" Felix asked, his face red and puffy with his cheeks stained of dry tears.

"Felix... you were never meant to find out this way. But In fact you were supposed to know the truth a long time ago." Yeji spoke as she slowly walked up to Felix in a calming matter.

"Wh— Wha?"

Yeji sighed "Hyunjin was going to tell you until our boss forbided it, we were never allowed to tell anyone about our other lives." Yeji spoke leaving Felix dazed.

"Y— your one too?" Felix asked, the only thing that seemed shocking to him.

"Me, Han and Hyunjin have been in this business for years, frankly Hyunjin has been in this business before he was even born. His parents were close to the boss until they died in a supposed car accident."

Felix sighed as he turned his attention back to Hyunjin's hand, slowly caressing it again
"They never died in that car accident did they."

Yeji turned her attention to Han then back to Felix "No one knows what happened to them, but the last they were ever heard of, was on an S ranked mission. They never came back."

"Me, Han and Hyunjin are all S ranked assassin's, I'm a hacker and Han and Hyunjin are field agents. But Hyunjin is known as the best killer in the guild—" Yeji spoke but was intervened by Felix.

"So your telling me.... That I... could've lost any of you, any day, any hour, any minute or any second, and I would simply not know what had happened to either of you?! I can't even handle the fact of my best friend leaving to go to the store for hours and not hearing from him until he finally gets home! And now your telling me that he and all of you, are risking your lives almost every night for what?! MONEY?! ENTERTAINMENT?! JOY?!?" Felix angrily spat.

The room fell silent, no one dared to utter a word.
"ᵗʰⁱˢ ⁱˢ ᵇᵘˡˡˢʰⁱᵗ" Felix muttered under his breath.

"STRAIGHT UP FUCKING BULLSHIT!" Felix yelled.

"Felix, you have to understand that this was for your own goo—" Han said but got intervened by felix.

"How did he get shot, who shot him" Felix asked, his voice starting to go deep and harsh.

The room was silent for a second until Yeji heard a beep noise from her phone. She grabbed her phone from her pocket and took a quick look at it before looking back up to Han, she gave him a quick nod. Han responded with another.

"Felix I have to go but I'll be back." Yeji informed Felix as she placed her phone back into her pocket and started heading out of the door.

But Felix knew by the time Yeji would be back,

He would already be gone.

"Now tell me Han, how did Hyunjin end up here." Felix spoke, his tone stern and harsh.

Han and Felix were still currently sitting in Hyunjin's hospital room. Felix still sitting by Hyunjin's bedside, Han standing by the doorway.

"Me and Hyunjin were assigned a mission after we got back home, so yes, what you told me during class about Hyunjin being on the phone in the middle of the hallway, talking about a mission, it was true and he was talking about that mission."

Felix stayed silent.

Han sighed "When me and Hyunjin were on the mission, something was up with Hyunjin. His mind wasn't in his right place, He got frustrated and angry very quickly. I didn't know what happened beforehand that triggered him so much, but I had a feeling that things weren't going to go expected." Han spoke.

Felix's heart started to race, he knew exactly what triggered Hyunjin.

"It was me." Felix spoke, not giving eye contact with Han.

"What do you mean?" Han asked.

Felix sighed "Me and Hyunjin got into a fight at school about Hyunjin's weird behavior, I couldn't avoid the topic like you and seungmin told me to, so I confronted him about it. I didn't know it would cause or trigger this situation..." Felix spoke feeling mournful.

"I guess that explains things but, throughout the whole mission, Hyunjin was ruthless. Killing everyone in his path, enjoying the screams and shouts from the enemies. It wasn't unlike him, but it seemed so unnatural to me."
Felix gritted his teeth and clutched his fists in anger.

"Then finally, when we got to the most important part of the mission, Hyunjin went to go fight off with main boss while leaving me to the decoys. And that's when I heard it. The gunshot. Hyunjin never finishes his most important missions with a gun, it's always the knife he got from his parents before they disappeared." Han informed.

It was breaking Felix's heart hearing all of these words come from his friends mouth, but he wanted to know, he needed to know.

"Scared about what happened to Hyunjin, I ran into the room. But as soon as I got there, smoke was filling up every space in the room, but as soon as I opened the door, smoke was starting to disappear and then I came across Hyunjin, laying in the middle of the ground with blood spilling or from his wound." Those words triggered Felix, but he kept his emotions calm. He didn't want to explode before the story was finished.

"I called the hospital and he was transferred here, that's when I called you." Han finished.

"I— I—" Felix started but was intervened by Han.

"That's not all Felix." Han spoke leaving Felix slightly surprised.

"After Hyunjin's surgery, the doctors came to me and told me something."

Felix's attention was turned to Han now, he finally gave in and gave Han eye contact
"What? What did they tell you?"

Han sighed "They told me that Hyunjin had some sort of gas in his system before he was shot, and apparently the gas makes you see your deepest desire turn dark."

Felix gave a bewildered look towards Han. Han gritted his teeth.
"Felix..."

"Hyunjin's deepest desire....was you"

And that, broke Felix's heart into pieces.

Felix broke out in a sob
"I— It's my fault! If I- I- if I didn't argue with him about it, his mind would be in the right place! If we never met, I would never have been his deepest desire! I- I DID THIS!! I HURT THE MOST IMPORTANT PERSON IN MY LIFE BECAUSE OF MY SELFISH CURIOSITY!!" Felix yelled in a rage.

"Felix—"

"Han..." Felix turned to Han, tears spilling from his eyes and his whole entire body was shaking.

Han immediately rushed to Felix, engulfing him into a hug. "Lix... it's not your fault... I should've stopped Hyunjin from the start, I— I should've known it wasn't going to end we—"

"Han. I need to go somewhere, but I'll be back" Felix told Han as he pulled away from the hug, giving Han a soft smile with his cheeks drenched In dry tears.

Han was quiet. Felix looked at Hyunjin one more time and smiled, no matter how bad it broke his heart. He leaned slowly over Hyunjin and placed a small kiss on his forehead.

Knowing that this would be the last time he would ever see Hyunjin.

He turned back to Han who was confused.
He smiled again and gave Han a hug, whispering "I'll be right back Han."
Lying right through his teeth.

Felix pulled out of the hug once again and approached the room door, he slightly opened it, but taking a second to look back at Han and Hyunjin one last time before exiting.

Then Felix headed home, to finish the final touches of his plan, if this was gonna work. He needed to do it quickly.

Felix rushed, packing anything and everything. He was hesitant about taking the pups but he knew that once he had left. Hyunjin would need some comfort in his life.

But he was also hesitant about taking pictures of him and Hyunjin, after he left he still wanted to feel like Hyunjin was apart of his life. Even if Hyunjin didn't want anything to do with Felix.
