"CAWWW MUZAN HAS BEEN REVIVED!! PILLARS MUST GATHER AT ONCE!!!" The crow flew by with the announcement.

"Does it hurt?" The mist pillar questioned

I sucked in a breath through my teeth, "A bit, but don't worry. We've got to hurry."

Muichiro was stitching up the large gash on my back. I lost my haori during the fight, the one Kyojuro had given me.

I tied up my arm with the medical supplies my crow had come by with, stopping the bleeding. I had given Hoshi my ring as I didn't want to lose it again.

"It's finished." Muichiro bit off the loose string, helping me button up my uniform

He held out a hand for me to grab, and we started to follow after the crow who would be leading us to Kibutsuji.

Another massive tremor came in, but the fortress was bending. The platform we were standing on suddenly started to shoot up. Muichiro reached out to me, only for us to get separated from another moving block.

I was getting closer and closer to the ceiling, or what I thought was the ceiling. My hands covered my head, waiting for the impact. I only heard a large crash before passing out.

"My head.." I groaned

My body was aching. Each part that.. was still attached to me that is. I pushed the pieces of wood and dirt off my body.

"CAWW, STILL AN HOUR AN A HALF LEFT TILL SUNRISE!!" A crow yelled out,

"An.. hour and.. a half?" I lazily got onto my feet, "Too much time.."

My spotty vision returned to normal. I spotted some of the pillars, Tomioka, Kanroji, Iguro. They were alive, thank the gods.

I stumbled till I gained my balance, reaching for the hilt of my blade. A huge blast was heard, debris flying past me, leaving small cuts around my body, a larger one on my cheek.

I tightened my grip, running straight for the demon king. Immediately I needed to avoid one of his bone-like whips, all of us slicing in different places but nothing to show for it. Not a single attack showed up on his body, even though I was sure I'd hit him with a form.

"Eh?! EH!!?! I WAS SO SURE I HIT HIM!" Kanroji screamed out in confusion

"YOU DID! BUT THIS MONSTER, HE REGENERATES THE MOMENT YOU SLICE HIM." Tomioka yelled.

This was too dangerous, I needed distance and fast, but that suction on one of the tentacles was too strong. I slipped on my foot, about to get impaled.

"GO GO! BECOME HUMAN SHIELDS FOR THE PILLARS!" The lower slayers jumped in front of us, stopping the attacks.

"NO, PLEASE STOP! ALL OF YOU!" I shouted out. Three of them had just sacrificed themselves for me.

"Those who attack me are done for. Look that way." Kibutsuji pointed in a certain direction, to which I whipped my head, only to see a horrifying sight.

He was bleeding out on the floor, spazzing too. There was no saving him. I cursed under my breath; I'd shared a meal with him, he was my friend, and this son of a bitch took his life.

All the attacks I thought I had avoided hit me. Multiple slashes were made all over my body, blood gushing out everywhere. I would die from blood loss if I couldn't keep up my forms.

Kanroji fell to the ground after getting hit by those bone whips. Her life was also about to get taken. I switched my objective, leaping towards her.

"KANROJIII!!" I screamed as I reached out for her,

A metal clang rang through the battlefield. A metal axe and spiked flail saved Kanroji. I pulled her out of the way. Himejima towering over us, almost like a ray of hope.

"Sorry for being late." He apologized in his deep voice

I couldn't do much, only avoid attacks and keep making slices. I had to keep up humble constant. Otherwise, I'm good as dead.

A green nirichin blade pierced the demon king's head, slicing him in half. The wind pillar tossed a bunch of bottles filled with gasoline. Kibutsuji smashed the bottles, only for them to blow up in his face and burn parts of his body off.

"This suits you. I'LL KILL YOU!! YOU PIECE OF SHITT!!!" Shinazugawa distracted him, so I took the chance to get up close.

I sped through the bone whips, getting my bright red nirichin blade to slice both of his heels. Since I had turned my blade that beautiful color in the last battle, I kept notice of my grip, and how it warmed up the sword.

I quickly opened a bottle of poison with my teeth, spilling it onto my sword as the demon king fell to his knees.

Miss Tamayo had given me an extra supply in case there was a good point to use it, and this was a good point.

My bright sword ripped the flesh of Kibutsuji. It pierced into him as the rest of the poison was injected.

The demon king reached out his hand to smash my head to bits, only for his arm to get sliced off. A hand wrapped around my waist, yanking me out of the way from the demon king's next attack.

"Y/N!! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?!" Muichiro's voice questioned over the destruction

A wide smile spread on my face seeing him, "YUP!! THANK YOU!!"

Muzan's moves were getting fiercer. At this point, I could barely tell where the attacks were coming from. And couldn't even access that see-through world I was in during both the upper-rank fights.

I was dodging by pure luck, but it would run out soon. I wanted to keep the promise. Humble constant was destroying my lungs. If I stopped for even a mere second, death would take my hand.

The love pillar had left to get first aid, with the serpent pillar rushing back into the battle. I felt useless, even though I used all the poison I could; getting close to Kibutsuji was impossible.

Not to mention my missing hand, my movements were limited. My blade was getting chipped and was losing that red glow; I could feel my heartbeat slowing down. My eyes became bloodshot, the red liquid signifying I was reaching my limit.

My wounds were exposed to Kibutsuji's blood. The calico cat had to come soon, otherwise, we would all die from our cells deteriorating.

"EVERYONEE!!! REACH OUT YOUR HAND QUICKLY!!" I shouted as loud as I could,

As expected, the feline had jumped over, injecting a serum into all of us, destroying Kibutsuji's poisonous blood.

The small cat confused the demon king, he sliced Chachamaru into bits, though Miss Tamayo had turned him into a demon before the fight, poor kitty.

"I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED, BUT A STRAY CAT JUST SAVED MY ASS!" Shinazugawa yelled out.

My blood pressure rose back up, heat returning to my freezing fingers. I had to access the red nirichin blade again. It stiffened the body of the upper moon one; it might just do the same with Kibutsuji.

"MUICHIRO!! COVER ME!" I yelled out,

The mist pillar deflected the bone whip attacks that were heading straight for me. I gripped my hilt, letting the heat rise to the blade once again.

It shone a glorious red. I leaped into the night sky, aiming my blade for those bone whips. Bringing my blade down, I sliced off his arm, along with the whips.

Muzan let out a directed attack, revealing Inosuke, Kanao, and Zenitsu. He noticed sooner than expected, I continued to slash him with my blade, and Iguro managed to figure out how to turn his own blade red.

"HERE, L/N, TAKE THIS PIECE OF PAPER!" Inosuke slammed my back, sticking Yushiro's eye onto it.

I disappeared from Kibutsuji's sight; now that I could use different forms, I unleashed one right after another.

I noticed the demon king starting to regenerate slower. All of us were affecting him greatly, especially now that the rest of the poisons were working.

"EVERYONE!! TRY TO GET YOUR BLADE RED!!! IT'LL AFFECT HIM MORE!!" I screamed out to the pillars.

Muichiro and I striked our blades together, his turning a beautiful red as well. Himejima's axe and spiked ball also achieved the hue, along with Tomioka and Shinazugawa, when they clanged their swords together.

Inosuke kept handing me the spilled papers on the ground, as I obviously couldn't pick them up. My hand was occupied with the hilt of my blade.

"That see-through world.." I mumbled

I could see Kibutsuji's muscles, his bones, the multiple brains and heart that were moving around inside his body.

"LOOK CLOSELY!! DO YOU SEE IT?!! THAT TRANSPARENT REALM!!" Himejima shouted out to all of us

The demon king let out another blood art, blowing all of us into buildings. I felt someone bringing me into an embrace before the impact knocked me out.

The last thing I saw was a checkered haori flying into the battle, absolutely shredding the demon king.

"Y/n..!" Muichiro's voice was fading

A choked out a cough, "Yeah.. alive.."

He helped me sit up, pushing away the rubble on my legs.

"We'll get first aid. Just stay awake." The mist pillar wiped spots of dirt off my face, holding me close.

Multiple Kakushi ran toward us, "Mist pillar, Plant pillar! Hold on!!"

I was lifted by one of them, and they bought me over to Yushiro. He started to wrap the slashes on my body and injected another serum to kill Kibutsuji's cells.

There was still an hour left until dawn, and I was useless. That checkered haori.. Tanjiro is out there fending the demon king off by himself.

"God.. damn it." I reached out for the hilt of my sword again.

I stumbled to my feet, the kakushi attempting to get me to sit down again, "Plant pillar! You're bleeding out!! Please rest for a little!!"

My blade almost instantly turned red. I adjusted the angle, making a sharp sound with my sword.

As I rushed out of the alley, look both left then right, I spotted Tanjiro. He was about to get slaughtered.

'Breath of plant, eighth form: Monocarpic dance.' I sucked in a large breath, dashing toward the maroon-haired child

I yanked his haori, pulling him away from the attack. Iguro showed up again, deflecting incoming blows while I set Tanjiro in a safe place.

The serpent pillar had a claw mark, making him lose his vision. Kibutsuji got more irritated, letting out a wide attack.

It had blown a whole building to pieces, Iguro being in blast range, but he avoided all of the flying debris. Could his snake friends be telling him the direction of attacks?

"THAT AGING POISON WORKING YET, DEMON KING??" I screamed out before bringing my blade down, slicing off his arm again.

My blade then met his leg, leaving his focus on me and letting Tanjiro get closer to him.

"YOU!! YOU PIECE OF SHITTT!!" Kibutsuji's attacks were now completely on me. I guess he was getting pissed from the poison I created.

I only missed his bone whip by a hair because Muichiro returned again, saving me. I skidded to a stop, clenching my teeth.

I noticed scars all over the demon king's body, and they moved around as well. When I entered that transparent world, they matched those hearts and brains.

"CAWWW!!! FORTY MINUTES UNTIL DAWNNN!!!"

I began to strike at those spots; each time I did so, Kibutsuji stiffened. The mist pillar caught on, along with Tanjiro and Iguro. But as I was about to send another blow, he vanished.

"IS HE RUNNING AWAY?!" Muichiro shouted

I grunted, following after the figure.

"HE'S FLEEING. IGURO MUZAN FLED!!" Tanjiro alerted the Serpent pillar.

The three boys were right behind me as we started to chase the demon king down. Is he not ashamed of running away?!

"He's trampling on their bodies.."

Kibutsuji had just stepped on all the fallen corps members, and this only boiled my blood. My eyes turned white from blinded rage. The only color that could be seen was the red blood leaking into my irises.

A sword flew past me, hitting the demon king head-on. Tanjiro was attempting to pin him down, and I used the distraction to my advantage.

Pushing off the ground with as much strength as possible, I made it above Kibutsuji in the blink of an eye. Stabbing my blade deep into his neck and crashing into the dirt.

"PERISH!! PAY FOR ALL YOUR SINS, YOU DISGUSTING DEMON!"

The demon king blasted me back, Muichiro catching me in the process. The serpent pillar and Tanjiro kept striking at his weakened state while the mist pillar and I rushed back.

"MOVE TO BLOCK HIM OFF CONSTANTLY!!" Iguro shouted

I grimaced. "DON'T LET HIM GET AWAY."

All we were doing was buying time in order for the sun to rise. He will burn under it. Each piece of flesh and bone that created his horrid body would be cursed by the sunlight.

His attacks were ruthless; multiple slashes were made on my legs I could only bite back from screaming in pain.

One of my eyes had been blinded, which left my vision worse than before. I could hear the faint pumping hearts of the pillars, the demon king's brutal attack wasn't enough to kill them.

"THIRTY-FIVE MINUTES UNTIL DAWNNN!!!" Another announcement rang throughout the battleground.

Kibutsuji attempted another escape, inflating his flesh to burst into pieces. It wouldn't work, he couldn't flee this time.

"YOU FIGURED IT OUT?! THERE ARE FOUR SUBSTANCES, YOU DUMBASS!!"

The demon king turned to my voice, nothing but rage in his red eyes. A stupid grin only spread on my face.

He launched a lightning attack, a burst stunning my body. I was immobilized, crashing down on my knees. I couldn't stop spazzing out.

My body embraced the pain, crushing my lungs. I couldn't take a breath, if I didn't stabilize soon, I would die. I need to get up. Get up.

Inosuke charged back into the fight, "Get.. out of.. there! Inosuke..!" I spoke between the twitches on my limbs

"THEN YOU'LL PAY FOR IT WITH A MILLION DEATHS!" Inosuke yelled out with tears falling from his mask.

Zenitsu then entered. Both of the boys were fighting. They needed aid, and fast. I raised my sword, stabbing myself, avoiding a vital spot or major blood vessels. This woke me up from my trance, and I weakly stood up.

"Demon king.. who calls yourself.. Muzan Kibutsuji.. you will.. PAY FOR THIS!!" Raise my sword till my last breath. I will not stop.

I needed to buy time for the pillars to return. I grabbed Inosuke and Zenitsu, getting them to a safe spot and zipping back. My demon slayer mark was burning brighter than ever, those tiny little flowers bloomed.

The adrenaline running through my brain was making me feel like all the wounds I had disappeared, I was feeling at my strongest.

I began deflecting every tentacle coming my way, slicing his weak spots. One of the demon king's legs was giving up on him, the fourth substance was giving us hope.

I guess I had bought more than enough time. Tanjiro had returned, saving my ass from getting pierced in the face.

Muzan couldn't use those shock attacks anymore. He had to generate them, which at the rate he was aging Kibutsuji wouldn't be able to anymore.

Tanjiro had started to cough up blood. I deflected the attacks coming for him, he was our hope in destroying Kibutsuji. Inosuke and Zenitsu had joined back into the fight to assist us. We were bringing him down.

"TANJIRO, PIN HIM DOWN!" I screamed out.

The maroon-haired kid slammed the demon king into a building, cornerin him from going anyway. Kanroji had returned as well, thank the gods she was alright. We were going to do this.

"THAT'S ENOUGH! YOU IDIOT!" She yelled before ripping his arm off.

Shinazugawa came after the love pillar, slicing the demon kings other arm clean off. Kibutsuji morphed into a disgusting monster, trying to swallow Tanjiro whole, only for the serpent pillar to shove himself between them.

"DAWN IS BREAKING!" Muichiro yelled before also stabbing his sword into the demon king.

"HANG IN THERE, EVERYONE!" I shouted.
