I would be lying if I said I wasn't scared, my bones were shaking with fear. My hands were struggling to keep a grip on my hilt. A calico cat had come by and given me the poison to coat my sword with but before I could thank the small cat it had disappeared. Yushiro had given us some of his 'eyes' as he said, it would hide us from Kibutsuji's sight.

"Don't fear. It will only weaken you. Namu Amida Butsu." Himejima-san stated

"Right." Was the only word I could say

Almost exactly like Master said, he had caused an explosion. It made my heart shatter, though this was not the time to mourn. Himejima and I ran through the broken walls of the Ubayashiki estate. The demon king was pierced with spikes, Tamayo with her fist stuck into his abdomen, with Kibutsuji's finger piercing her eye.

"NOW! HIMEJIMA, Y/N, DO IT, PLEASE!" She screamed out.

I followed right after Himejima, he swung his spiked flail at Kibutsuji smashing his head into bits. I was certain Muzan couldn't see me yet for I had made several slashes on his body continuing to do so. Tamayo had said the more poison I use, the better. I was almost out of it which was turning the fight in our favor.

"YOU BITCH! WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO TO OYAKATA-SAMA!!" I heard Shinazugawa's blood-curdling voice.

'All the pillars are coming. This is great.'

I made the final pierce into his skin, injecting all the poison I could. Yushiro's eye fell from my forehead and the demon king had finally noticed me, unleashing a blood art. As I was about to get sliced to bits I felt arms pulling me back, I had no time to see who it was because the ground underneath my feet had disappeared.

"YOU THOUGHT YOU COULD CORNER ME?" The demon king let out a laugh, "YOU'RE ALL GOING TO HELL NOW."

I started to fall into an endless pit, there was no bottom.

"This is kind of fun!" I squealed, but then noticed that walls were moving around, one almost slamming my body.

I had to doge multiple of them in mid-air, which was ease for me. I stabbed my sword as hard as I could into the moving walls before I fell to my death. I felt someone pull me up, I was met with one of the Pillars.

"Tomioka-san!" I said with a shocked look, was he the one who pulled me back from Muzan's attack?

I heard someone falling, and out of instinct, I reached out grabbing a checkered haori. It was Tanjiro! I let him go to land on the bottom softly.

"Y/n! You saved me! Thanks!" He smiled, but then I noticed a demon right behind him.

Tanjiro used a water-breathing form to kill it. I saw the shoji door sliding open. I leaped down with Tomioka and unleashed my first form making sure not to cut either of them. After we decapitated all the demons, Tanjiro and Tomioka just stared at each other.

"Let's go." Tomioka blurted before starting to run down the open hallway.

Tanjiro and I only glanced at each other before taking after the water pillar. It felt like a while of running before I heard the opening of a door, I whipped my head back to see Tanjiro falling through it. I rushed back to help him, reaching out my hand.

"You've got to stay sharp!"

"Got it!" He took my hand

We continued running, how long till we reach an upper moon? My body was trembling with fear, which I fought to keep down. I hope Muichiro is alright, I saw him fall with Himejima.

"SHINOBU KOCHO, HAS FALLEN IN BATTLE AGAINST UPPER MOON TWO." It shouted.

Those words rang through my head over and over again. The one who took care of me when I was wounded, the one who showed endless care for me. She was gone, forever. I despise these creatures, they need to be eradicated.

"Keep focus. This fight has barely begun." Tomioka remarked while keeping his eyes ahead of him.

I only hummed in response. I couldn't speak. My throat closed, and my eyes began to water. I had to keep running, find an upper moon, kill it.

A large shake intterupted my thoughts, I was confused on what was going on, trying to keep my balance and not fall off to the side.

"WHAT IS THIS TREMOR?" Giyuu shouted over the noise

"GIYU!" Tanjiro said with a panicked voice,

"STOP, CALM DOWN!" I shouted, "FROM ABOVE! WATCH OUT, YOU TWO!"

Something broke through the ceiling, landing right in front of us.

"It has been a while, I'm surprised you're still alive. Being the weakling that you are, KAMADO TANJIRO!" A disgusting smirk plastered on the upper ranks face as he charged at Tanjiro.

Akaza's fist almost met him but Tanjiro used a different form, it wasn't water breathing and nothing like flame breathing. Tanjiro cut through the upper moons arm, though Akaza regrew it and sent another blow to crush Tanjiro's head.

"AKAZAAA!!" I tightened the grip on my hilt, easily slicing off his arm and pulling Tanjiro back.

"Oh?" Laughter fell from his lips, "You're here to Y/n! How amazing!"

"Yeah, this time I'll for sure make you burn in the depth of hell." I raised my blade once again.

"Technique deployment." He continued, "Let's get started then, time for a feast."

Tomioka unleashed a water-breathing form, my own breath form going right after his. Both Akaza's arms fell to the ground, he regrew them in a matter of seconds and sent another attack.

"Water breathing, Eleventh form: Dead calm." Tomioka avoided the blood demon art, which seemed to confuse the upper three.

"Plant breathing, fourth form: Falling blossom!" I landed large blows on him, the sliced skin only repaired itself before the demon dissapeared.

Reappearing right behind, Tanjiro, about to blow his head off once again. Tomioka quickly reacted, saving Tanjiro from the attack.

Tanjiro tried using another form to cut his leg off though Akaza sent a strong kick it seemed like Tanjiro had blocked it, but red liquid started to leak from his nose. Tomioka continued to fight with Akaza.

"WHAT'S YOUR NAME? I WANT TO REMEMBER YOU!" Akaza shouted out.

"Names are not to be shared with things like you, I hate speaking so don't talk to me," Giyuu replied coldly.

Akaza sent him through multiple walls, I heard the loud crash snapping my head to where I saw Tomioka in the rubble created by the impact.

"Giyuu!!" Tanjiro called out with concern

"Ah, so his name is Giyuu." Akaza was right in front of Tanjiro, trying to one shot him again.

"Plant breathing second form: Growing sapling." I saved Tanjiro from getting his head chopped off as the maroon haired boy sent one of those weird breath forms, could this be what I think it is?

Tanjiro got blown back through walls just as Tomioka did. The upper rank started to speak again which only irritated me further, he needs to perish.

"I'm so happy I killed Kyojuro that night, he wouldn't have been able to get any stronger since he rejected my offer. He had that stupid view of staying a human."

"DON'T YOU SAY HIS NAME LIKE YOU KNEW HIM!!" My eyes had gone blank from pure rage.

Tanjiro started to speak to him; he really had matured. The sound of anger submerged my ears as he spoke. Akaza suddenly swung in the air like there was a person there.

"Tanjiro, you really are unpleasant." Akaza struck at him unleashing a blood demon art that I got caught in.

I had a wound from my right shoulder to my collarbone, I leapt at Akaza before he could injure Tanjiro further.

"Plant breathing fifth form: Blackout Lily!" I sliced both of his legs and made a deep cut on his spine as they regrew he sent a blow which I blocked with my sword, causing me to get flown back.

Tanjiro sent a form after, his sword missing Akaza's neck or so I thought. There was a good slice on upper three's neck. It spilled with blood, but only a smile spread on his disgusting face.

Tanjiro attempted to finish the gash he had made, but was stopped when Akaza clasped his sword, about to shatter it. I tried my best to remove the rubble on my legs the demon didn't send me too far back. I could still see Tanjiro struggling as he kicked Akaza in the face.

Tomioka appeared, slicing the upper moon's arm off and freeing Tanjiro's blade. I finally got the large piece of wood off my leg, as I stood up there was a bad searing pain. I ignored it, running back to the fight.

I noticed something as I was waiting for an opening to strike, Tomioka had unlocked the demon slayer mark. There was a  weird pattern on his cheek. His speed no doubt increased, pillar training had really paid off.

"Plant breathing seventh form: Humble!" I saw the opening and went for it.

I aimed to immobilize him, Tanjiro came in right from above for support. Akaza caught his sword once again, sending a punch to his right side.

Tanjiro quickly moved to avoid the attack and got his sword out of Akaza's grasp. Tomioka and I continued with our attacks. I narrowly avoided the demon's fist, if I hadn't I would've lost the bottom half of my body.

For a split second, I entered a world, a world where I could see through the demon: his muscles, blood vessels, brain, and heart. I could see it all.

"Looks like you used all your water-breathing forms. That's enough. I'll end you now, Giyuu." Akaza cackled before snapping his sword in half and sending his fist into Tomioka's stomach.

"I won't allow it again." I ended up slicing the upper moon's arm before he could kill Tomioka.

Akaza sent the same attack toward me his arm once again getting cut off, but not by me. This deadly aura creeped me out as Tanjiro stared at Akaza with the intent to kill.

I saw it again, that see-through world. Giyuu had gotten slashed in multiple spots. Akaza used his blood art again, I received multiple wounds from it and got myself blown back.

"Don't die like those three. Become a demon, Giyuu." Akaza offered Tomioka.

'He hadn't noticed Tanjiro was right behind him, DO IT, TANJIRO GO FOR THE NECK!!' I shouted inside my head as I was trying to get up.

"AKAZA!! I WILL CUT OFF YOUR HEAD RIGHT NOW!" Tanjiro missed the chance to ambush him.

'Why did you yell out his name dumbass!' I mentally face palmed, we still had a chance Akaza didn't know I wasn't dead yet.

We didn't need that chance, Tanjiro had ripped his blade through the upper ranks neck. It tumbled to the ground, great job Tanjiro!

I may have spoken too soon, the flesh that had ripped from the Akaza's neck was regrowing. He was trying to give himself a new head.

"MOVE!" I shouted as I launched my sword into Akaza's head, knocking it off his body.

Tanjiro fell to his knees, the upper three's head started to disintegrate, but something was wrong. The body wasn't falling apart. It was moving.

It blew Tanjiro into the wall with a kick. I quickly got up from my kneeling position. Tomioka had a broken sword, and Tanjiro had now fainted. I had to finish this. The water pillar called out for Tanjiro but got blown back by the body and I unleashed a form.

"Plant breathing, third form: weed and vine choke!" Vines started to wrap around my sword, thorns growing out.

I sped towards Akaza's body, slicing it in half. I left it imbolized but it still had healing properties. So the body had regenerated, turning it's attention to the two boys.

"Hold it." I gripped the hilt of my sword, "I'M NOT DEAD YET. IF YOU WANT TO KILL EITHER OF THEM YOU'LL HAVE TO GO THROUGH ME." I raised my blade, getting ready to unleash a form I had been practicing just for upper rank three.

"Plant breathing eighth form: Monocarpic Dance"

Everything seemed to stop; I walked up to him, making several slashes on his body, cutting off his arms, legs, and the head that was attempting to regenerate. I ended up behind him, his body crumbling to the ground. He had a smile on his face as I looked back.

The sounds that came off of him it was gratitude and guilt. Akaza wasn't a monster. It was the demon king. He forced these demons who were once human to kill. They were just like me, human.

"I forgive you," His eyes went wide at my words. His body and head disintegrate.
