I woke up from my deep sleep, I tried to turn over to get more comfortable but got pulled back. I heard a small mumble. It was my gorgeous one and only, Muichiro. The sun rays that peeked through the window warmed my body. It painted the sky a beautiful color, and I watched the clouds from the large window in the room.

"Muichiro, I have to get back before Aoi finds me." I placed a small kiss on his cheek. It seemed to have woken him up.

"Five more minutes.." He mumbled, his eyes droopy and his voice soft.

"I can't, Aoi will wake up soon." I smiled, his eyes fully opened and he had a small pout.

He blinked a couple of times to adjust to the sudden light, "Alright.."

"We can take a walk around later, I want to bring Sanemi ohagi anyway." I turned to leave but was lightly pulled back by him

He mumbled something, "Huh?" I questioned

"Kiss.." I barely heard it.

I smiled and leaned closer to his face, planting a quick peck on his lips. "Okay, bye Muichiro" I cooed.

I made my way to the door, opened it, and listened for anyone in the halls. I could hear no footsteps so I crept all the way to my room. As I slid open the door, I saw a figure, Aoi...

"What did I just say!? I told you not to leave-" I drowned out her voice. Her lecture just kept going. I swear it was an hour long.

"Can you help me make ohagi for Shinazugawa," I spoke as her eyes burned with anger, "Please?" I finished

"WAS THAT ALL YOU WERE THINKING ABOUT!?" She continued for another 15 minutes, which felt like three centuries.

We finally made it to the kitchen, she agreed to help me since she felt bad for ruining my eardrums. We finished the bag of ohagi, I wrapped it in a neat cloth, adding a small note as well. Just in case Shinazugawa happened to not be there.

I went back to my room to change into my uniform. I threw on my haori and chugged down the medicine water before I left to wake up Muichiro.

I snuck past Kokoro and Haru's bed, they were still sound asleep. I gently shook the mist pillar's shoulder, causing him to turn over and mumble something again.

"Muichiro, do you want to come or not? I'm going to give Shinazugawa ohagi." I whispered just enough so he could hear it.

He tiredly sat himself up, "Mm.. yeah," Getting out of bed and grabbing on his uniform that was beside him.

"I'll wait for you in the garden while you change," I left a soft kiss on his cheek before making my way to the garden.

Shinazugawa seems to enjoy my ohagi, so I thought I'd give it to him as a present. We don't talk much but when we do it's short like a "How are you" or "How is being a hashira?" type of stuff. I wish to become friends. He's strong but can act like a rabid dog.

I heard the footsteps of Muichiro approaching, I spun on my heel to turn to him. "You ready to go?" I smiled

"Yeah, why did you make ohagi for him?" We started walking along the path with our hands intertwined.

"He enjoys ohagi quite a bit, it's the only thing I know he'll like." Shinazugawa's estate wasn't too far from here so it was a short walk.

"Here we are!" I walked through the moon gate with the mist pillar behind me, entering the training grounds

A sudden scream was heard, Muichiro and I shared a look, Shinazugawa was probably beating up the trainees. We walked to the back but what was playing out was unexpected.

Tanjiro was on the floor with Genya, Shinazugawa looked like he was really about to commit mass murder. Zenitsu and the other trainees were screaming like little girls. It looked like they had broken the wall, Tanjiro was begging the wind pillar to calm down.

"Shinazugawa!!" I called out, but he was only blinded by rage and turned back to Tanjiro.

I puffed my cheeks out, marching over to Shinazugawa as he was about to sock the maroon haired child in the face.

"I made you ohagi," I unwrapped it, revealing the sweet treat I had made for him

He stopped in his path like nothing even happened; the wind pillar grabbed it at started eating. Zenitsu sneakily made his way out with Genya. There was silence everywhere before he broke it.

"Thanks, It's good," he said while munching the ohagi

My smile was wide, "I'm happy you like it! You can go back to.. whatever you were doing.."

"Oh yeah, I'LL SLAUGHTER YOUR ASS KAMADO!"

Chaos emitted after that, the trainees tried calming Shinazugawa-san down, but it just turned into a big dog fight. Muichiro and I watched the entire thing with dotted eyes.

Tanjiro and Shinazugawa were banned from going near each other, and the sun child got a big scolding from the higher-ups.

I was at full power in just two days, I went back to training the lowers. I would have to push Kokoro and Haru harder once they woke up, I was planning to show them all the forms but it gives me time to figure out ways to pass their limits.

Aoi said they would be all good to go in three days, Muichiro also went back to training. We planned to spend tomorrow together since we didn't get to have Udon.

"L/N-SAMAAAA!!" I heard a loud yell; Kokoro ran into me, giving me a bear hug. She had tears streaming down her face,

"I'm so sorry I was useless! I missed out on so much training, that stupid demon!!" I patted the back of her head and saw Haru, his gaze off to the side

"Sorry, we were useless in the fight.." He mumbled

"Useless?! You both saved my life! Don't say that!" I bonked Kokoro on the head,

"Let's start your training now, I want you to master all the forms." I pulled out their dummies and showed them the second form.

"Plant breathing," I sucked in a quick breath, "Second form" Bringing my blade down, that bright green aura surrounding my sword shone brighter. "Growing sapling." I sent a strike upwards, slashing the chest of the dummy, making a clean cut.

Kokoro and Haru started practicing. As they were trying the forms, I would adjust their movements. Once they had it down, I had them spar with me.

I pointed out what was wrong when they failed to beat me and pointed out what was right when they succeeded. I want them strong enough so when we spar, I'm at full power, and they can beat me.

"L/n-sama," Haru and Kokoro spoke at the same time, the sun was setting, and we were eating a plate of dango I made.

I hummed, and Kokoro continued to speak, "Could Haru and I, maybe.." her cheeks turned light pink,

"..Stay with you? We don't have a place to stay, mostly cause of missions but now that demon activity has stopped. We don't have a home."

I covered my mouth with my hand; her voice was so sweet. Haru couldn't meet my gaze, and I smiled gently.

"Of course, can I ask a question? You don't have to answer." They looked over at me, "What's your story? Why did you join the demon slayers?"

Their expressions darkened, and I could tell something horrible happened. Kokoro was the first to speak, "I was the youngest in my family. I had two older brothers. My mother died giving birth to me, or so I was told. My father blamed me for her death, and so did my brothers.

As I grew up I couldn't take the abuse anymore. I ran away as far as my legs would take me." she started sniffling.

"I realized that I had no money, and I starved on the street. I tried to find my way back to my home, and when I returned, a disgusting scent hit my nose.

My two brothers were on the ground outside of my house, a pool of blood underneath them. When I went inside, I saw my father.

He had been turned into a demon. He was jumping around the room like crazy. When he tried to attack, someone saved me.

His name was Tomioka Giyuu. He sent me to a man named Urokodaki, and I trained with him, I met Haru at the final selection." Her breath was shaky, a small stream of tears coming from her eyes.

I cleared the tears from her eyes and hugged her. Haru started speaking in a low voice.

"I'll tell you my story another time," He layed a hand on Kokoro's shoulder, attempting to comfort her.

"That's alright, I'll show you both your rooms. You have to train yourselves tomorrow. I've got something to do with Muichiro." I showed them their rooms and went upstairs to mine.

Hoshi came through my window, "Caw! Oyakata-sama wishes to see you early tomorrow! Also, this is for you! Caw!" He had a letter on him. I took it off and started to read it

'Y/n L/n, I am Tamayo. You may not know about me, but I wish for your help. I am a demon who's fond of bringing down the demon king. Kocho Shinobu also knows about me, I wish for both of your help in developing a poison just for Kibutsuji Muzan. Ask your crow to lead you when you can, I will be waiting.' I stared at the note, a demon curious about bringing down Kibutsuji.

"Alright, Miss Tamayo. I'll help you out."
