"Kotetsu! Are you alright?" I asked him while checking out the wounds he got.

"Yes, I'm fine! The hit that was supposed to kill me got deflected because of the hilt Tanjiro gave me!" He pulled out a hilt, a flame one.

"That's" I paused feeling myself choke up. "That's Kyojuro's.." I felt hot tears run down my face.

"Ah! I'm sorry! Don't cry!" He frantically waved his arms

I chuckled "It's alright, these are happy tears. I'm glad you're okay. Kanamori, Haganezuka are you alright?"

They both obviously had wounds, so I gave them a mixture of herbs that would suppress the pain. They're bleeding had stopped but we need to get them medical care.

"Alright, We need to go assist Tanjiro!" I helped up Muichiro, he could walk but I still held onto him in case he fell. The boys followed behind us as we walked through the forest.

Crash! I heard it, faint but it was there. "That way! I heard something!" I pointed and we picked up our pace.

I saw someone at the edge of a cliff, "Hey!" I yelled out.

He turned around it was Genya! "Tanjiro needs help!" He yelled out

Looking over the cliff I saw Tanjiro down there with Nezuko, the sun would soon come up! She'll burn! I also saw the other demon. I tried to find a way down without reopening the wounds I got. If they started bleeding out, I would surely die.

Tanjiro didn't have a sword, I grabbed the one Haganezuka had in his hands. I launched it at Tanjiro and yelled out "Use that Tanjiro!" The sword landed in front of Tanjiro. Haganezuka started screaming about how it wasn't complete. He grabbed me by the neck, shaking me.

"Let go or I'll break your arm." Muichiro tightened his grip on Haganezuka's arm, giving him the scariest look.

He let go, I turned my gaze back to Tanjiro. He grabbed the sword and rushed towards the demon. Decapitating him!

"The sun!" I screamed out I saw it peeking over the horizon, Nezuko!

The demon was still moving toward the people, was the head, not the real body? Nezuko started burning, I jumped down. Hurting my ankle in the process, some wounds reopened. I bolted my way to Nezuko. I wasn't going to make it.

"Nezuko!" I reached out for her as she emerged into flames, she pushed Tanjiro away, and he ran for the demon.

I stopped in shock, I was too late. I felt tears rolling down my cheeks, I was about to go run for the demon as well until I heard a voice.

"G-Good morning" I looked behind, and Nezuko was in front of me.

'Did I die..' I wondered

She reached out her arms, I touched her. I am alive. Does that mean she's alive? I hugged her tightly.

"You're alive! I was so worried!" I yelled out. She giggled and wrapped her arms around me.

Tanjiro came back. Most likely he caught the demon. He was in shock, and Nezuko also greeted him "Morning." She said with a smile.

"Nezuko, are you okay? Are, you human?" Tanjiro asked out of breath.

"Are okay." She smiled, I guess her not speaking for so long would affect her speech.

Tanjiro hugged her hard and yelled out, "NEZUKO IS SAFE! THIS IS GREAT!" The swordsmiths Tanjiro had saved started crying, I did too.

As Tanjiro let go of Nezuko, his eyes started to close, and he started to lose consciousness, falling over. One of the swordsmiths caught him, and Nezuko put him on his back.

"He's alright it's just from exhaustion. We should wait for the kakushi to get here," I said as I checked his pulse.

I sat down in the grass blood spilling, I couldn't walk on my left ankle I sprained it while jumping down from the cliff. I sighed. This battle was absolutely insane.

"Y/n are you okay!?" I heard Muichiro's voice call out, he was with Kotetsu. They were making their way toward us.

"Yeah! I just sprained my ankle. Plus that hit I took from that upper moon." I started to get up, and Muichiro held my arms so I could balance. I leaned into his chest, I was exhausted.

"Some of your wounds reopened.. Put less pressure on your left, you're gonna be okay." He sweetly said, there was something new in him. Did something happen?

"GUUUUUYYYYS!!!" I heard in the distance, was that Kanroji's voice? As I turned around, I was squished into a big group hug.

It was definitely Kanroji, and she squealed out "WE WON!! WE WONN!! THIS IS AMAZING!" she started crying, and I could feel tears spilling as well.

"WE'RE ALIVE! THANK THE GODS!" She yelled out, Nezuko replying "Thank gods!"

We made our way to the village, the damages were minimal, but there was no time. Everyone had to leave and find a new location for the village. The demons wouldn't stop. As soon as it turns nighttime again, they'll be out.

"L/n-dono! We'll take you to get your injuries treated!" Two female Kakushi came running for me.

"I'll see you at the butterfly mansion, okay?" I hummed, and Muichiro gave me to the Kakushi.

I got onto one of their backs, They carried me all the way to the butterfly mansion. I was absolutely exhausted. I fell asleep on the way there, I woke up in a bed.

"Oh, you're awake! Good!" A calm voice rang beside me, "You should drink your medicine. You've been asleep for a day." It was Shinobu

"Ah, good morning Shinobu-san." I yawned while sitting up. She handed me the medicine, and I chugged it down. The aftertaste was disgusting.

"Shinobu is Muichiro awake?" I asked her

"Tokito? I'm not sure, you can check if you'd like. He's three doors down, but be easy on the injuries, or I'll have to re-bandage them." She said with a threatening smile, scary.

I nodded, and she left the room, I got out of bed being easy with my left leg since it still hurt. I made my way down the hall passing two doors before I stopped at the third. I knocked, waiting for a reply.

"Come in." Muichiro's soft voice spoke

I slid open the door and stepped in, Muichiro was sitting up drinking his medicine. He had bandages on his left cheek and his lower right. I assumed Shinobu also bandaged his other wounds.

"Morning, Muichiro-kun! Are you doing okay?" I sat down at the end of his bed.

"Good morning, Y/n! I'm doing okay, I can't really feel the pain." He had a smile, a sweet one.

"Did something happen? You seem in a good mood!" I smiled, I liked this. His smile was bigger than the ones he gave me, even though I loved the small ones.

"Yeah, actually. I've been wanting to tell you." He calmly spoke

I waited for him to speak again, I was pretty excited.

"During the fight, while I was trapped in that bubble. I remembered words that had been spoken to me, but I didn't know who it was. I've gained my memories back, y/n. I remember everything." He said with the same sweet smile.

"Muichiro! That's amazing!" I got so excited I hugged him a little too tight.

"Y/n!" He laughed, "We're still healing be careful." He said while wrapping his arms around me.

"Sorry! I'm just so happy for you! So, you remember everything?" I said pulling away from the hug, and holding onto his hands.

"Yes, I remember my past, I remember everyone. I remember all the memories we have together." He said squeezing my hands slightly.

"Can you tell me about your past?" I excitedly said

His eyes dulled and his smile disappeared.

"It's okay if you don't want to!" I frantically said, I didn't want to upset him.

"No it's alright, I'll tell you." His eyes lit up again when he met my eyes.

I smiled motioning him to speak, "I had a brother. His name was Yuichiro. I had parents too, my mom died from a sickness. My father died trying to get medicine for her, he fell off of a cliff while it was storming. My brother and I were alone, and Amane came around from time to time asking if we wanted to be demon slayers. My brother would always chase her away, and during the summer, when we were eleven, a demon attacked us. My brother lost his left arm, and I lost it all in rage and destroyed the demon with everything we had in our house. The demon burnt in the sun and I crawled back inside to find my brother. He was praying, and I held onto him as he passed away. Amane saved me, and I lost my memory from a head injury. I guess I took after my brother's personality." He chuckled at the last part.

"Muichiro, you're strong. I'm sorry you had to go through that. You have a strong heart." I poked his chest, hugging him again.

"Thank you. Y/n I have a feeling a final battle is going to happen soon. We are going to take down the demon king." He spoke with his arms wrapped around me.

"Kibutsiji will die. We'll all ensure it, but I want us to survive. As selfish as it may seem." I smiled while pulling away.

"Let's be selfish then." He also had a sweet smile.

"Promise me you'll live." I held up my pinkie, and he locked his with mine.

"Only if you promise to live too."
