It was a rainy night, Arthur was walking around with his umbrella (did those exist back then?) in hand. He was stressed, too stressed. He was given a strange case about some disappearances happening but he just couldn't seem to find the culprit. Heck, he had even told Francis to keep a lookout.

The raindrops tap the cobblestone pavement as the young Brit walks around trying to find the bar Alfred had suggesting him. He stated that the rum there was amazing.

The blonde finally came across the tavern, it was filled with men and even some daring women who came out at this time of night.

He found himself a vacant table in the very back next to a window, this offered him a full view of the street, a waitress came over and took his order, while he told the young woman what he wanted his attention drifted towards a young woman. She had the most striking (eye color) eyes and beautiful (hair length) (hair color) hair. She was utterly beautiful.

Come to think of it, Arthur had wanted to settle down with someone sometime before but when the woman he had an affair with left him for some rich businessman he decided to bury himself in his work to fill his void of loneliness but he still felt as though something in him was missing so when he saw the (hair colored) girl his eyes immediately lit up, he felt as though a string in his heart had been pulled.

Though, what if she was there to see someone else? What is she was not interested in a man such as him? All of these questions swarmed his mind when the (hair colored) girl approached Arthur.

"Excuse me, is this seat taken." She asked, knowing full well that all of the other seats were already taken.

"Umm, I mean- I, well, just sit down!"Said the green-eyed man with a visible tint of pink on his cheeks.

After their respective orders were brought to the table, Arthur decided o ask the mystery girl some questions.

"So, what's your name?" He bluntly asked while taking a sip of his well-deserved rum.

"I'm _____ _____, yours?"Asked the girl curiously.

"I'm Arthur Kirkland." Replied the young detective.

"So _____, what are you doing out this late of night, you know there's a murderer on the loose in London, and not to mention all of the drunk men out at this time, it's dangerous for a lad to be out at this time." Said Arthur acting like an overprotective mother.

_____ just giggled as hi remark, he reminded her much of her parents.

"Don't worry Arthur, I'll be fine, I can handle myself against some drunk man and I doubt the murder is after me of all people." Siad _____ carelessly.

Arthur was a little surprised at her statement.

"Anywho, what are you doing out so late anyway?" Asked the blonde, trying to change the subject.

"I was looking for inspiration. You see, I'm an opera singer and I write most of my songs myself as well and this city always seems to inspire me but I just can't seem to find my inspiration." Said _____.

"So, what are you doing here?" She asked him.

"I was just taking a break from work and decided to come here." He said drowsily.

_____ couldn't believe it, he was already drunk. She just smiled and continued to gaze at the rain outside. The falling raindrops slowly seized until there was only a light shower, _____ decided that that was enough for today and it was time to head home but then she remembered that Arthur was now extremely drunk.

"Arthur, are you going to go home?" She asked as the man in front of her was again blabbering off about whatever his drunk mind could produce.

"Where do I live? I forgot where I live! This awful, _____ you must help me, mother will get mad if I'm late for dinner. She always says that I shouldn't stay out too long or else the boogie man will come to take me away!" He said, dramatically crying.

_____ chuckled and decided to take him with her. What's the harm, right?

She grabbed his hand and paid for her drink on the way out. It was still raining a little so you had to hurry before either of you caught a cold.

You two finally managed to reach your apartment. Both completely wet. Once you opened the door, Arthur flopped on your couch and continued blabbering about, anything really.

You decided to take this as an opportunity to slip away into your room and change into dry clothes. Once you were done, you took out a towel and went to the living room to find Arthur fast asleep.

You sighed and dried off his hair and took off his shoes, and covered him with a warm blanket. After which you lit up the fireplace and started writing, you weren't really keen on sleeping with a stranger in your house but yet again you weren't heartless enough to leave him outside either.

Arthur was slowly recovering his senses and waking up but when he completely opened his eyes, the male found himself in a strange house, it wasn't his apartment at all.

The green-eyed male immediately thought that he had been kidnapped but when he saw _____ sleeping on an armchair on his right those thoughts left his mind. He decided to look at you in your sleeping form, you were in a peaceful state, breathing lightly and even falling sometimes.

Your window caught his eye, the scenery in front of him was the same as the scenery in his apartment. He then came to the conclusion that you two were neighbors. While he was deep within though, you started to flinch a little until you opened your eyes to find yourself on your armchair with Arthur standing in front of you while facing the window.

"So, you awake?" Asked the male, still peering out the window.

"Yeah." Said _____ bluntly while looking for the papers she was writing on last night.

"Thank you for bringing me to your apartment yesterday, I don't what could have happened if I stayed out yesterday. I'll make sure to be more careful next time" Said the blonde while rubbing the back of his neck, _____ noticed a small flush of pink on his cheeks but decided to ignore it, for the time being, her first priority should be making breakfast for Arthur and herself.

"It's okay Arthur! I almost forgot to ask, what do you want for breakfast?" She asked while collecting her papers from last night.

"I don't really ming, a cup of tea would do." He said staring into _____'s  (eye color) orbs.
She slightly blushed and looked away from the green-eyed man.

While _____ was in the kitchen getting the tea ready, Arthur found his way to the bathroom and decided to fix himself up a little, considering the fact that they were neighbors Arthur decided to go to his apartment and change into something more fitting. He still couldn't believe he let his guard down, 'What if I said something strange while I was drunk!' Thought the detective.

He fixed himself up a little and went over to the kitchen.

"Excuse me _____ but do you mind if I head back to my apartment and fetch some more fitting clothes, these ones seen to have been spoiled."

The (eye-colored) girl looked slightly confused but nodded in approval.

"Don't worry, you go get changed or whatever it is you want to do, I don't mind at all" Sis the female politely.

Arthur unlocked the door of his apartment and entered. He quickly found a fresh set of clothes to wear. 'How did I not notice _____ before? We're basically neighbors!' Thought the English man a little frustrated at himself.

He knocked on _____'s apartment waiting for a response.

The female casually approached the door and opened it to meet Arthur. She smiled and let him in.

They both enjoyed their breakfast quietly until _____ interrupted the silence.

"So, Arthur, what do you do?" Asked _____ curiously.

"I'm a detective, I work for Scotland Yard though most of my 'missions' come directly from her majesty." He replied while eating a biscuit.

"That seems like an interesting job." Commented the female.

"It is but it's also stressful because of the number of enemies one can create from this profession, but, I manage." HE said proudly.

_____ chuckled a little at his remark but then continued to eat her breakfast quietly.

"How do you enjoy your profession, if I may ask?" Questioned the dirty blond.

"Well, it's fun and all and we also receive a good amount of income but it can be a little stressful since sometimes we are asked to  create original pieces and it is also hard to organize it all." Added the young woman.

"I hope I am able to attend some of your performances!" He commented.

This gave _____ an idea. She looked around her table when she found a little folder, it had some tickets to her next performance, she was given permission to give these to anyone she wanted but _____ didn't really have a family since her real one cut her off after realizing what she wanted to do as a living. The girl offered the detective three of her tickets.

"Here!" She offered.

"I was given these to give away to anyone I wanted so I'd love for you to have them! You can even bring two people with you." Smiled the girl.

"I can't possibly accept these! They are yours and would you prefer for your family to attend!" Said the male fidgeting a little.

"No, it's fine. I mean, I consider you as a friend now so I think you should have them."

"I- Well, thank you." Said the detective blushing madly.

"No problem!"

After breakfast was over, Arthur excused himself and left. He needed to get to work since unfortunately, his cases didn't solve themselves.

While walking over to Scotland Yard he found himself staring at a poster which announced the opera _____ was going to be taking part in.

He smiled as he took out his tickets and looked at them. _____ was truly a kind soul, he had subconsciously started developing feelings for the opera singer.

"Have you heard, _____ is taking singing in this opera!" Said a man near Arthur while talking to his companion.

"Yes, I have. God, she is beautiful!"

"Oh yes, she is! I wish she was my wife, the poor excuse of a wife I had currently is left in shame compared to beauties like this one!" Added the first male once more.

These comments made Arthurs blood boil. These idiots were disrespecting his _____.

He felt the need to teach these men a lesson but first, he needed to know who they were.

After he reached his workplace he immediately entered his superior's office and made up some excuse just to get a hold of those imbeciles' files.

Name: Edward Wellington
Age: 37
Position: He is the owner of a small business in the outskirts of London.
Parents: Michael Wellington and Shanon Wellington.

Spouse: Sarah Crest Wellington

Children: Simon Wellington

Name: Allan Clark

Age: 39

Position: Owner of a small tea shipping company.

Parents: Pierre Clark and Anne CΓ©cile Clark

Spouse: Elizabeth Arch Clark

Children: Paula Clark and Benjamin Clark

That was all the information Arthur needed to be able to eliminate these idiots and in order the clear himself from suspicion he will have to 'help' these two do some crime or accuse them of something. This would be easy, really. He was a well-respected detective that even nobles couldn't overthrow so these two nobodies wouldn't really be that hard to handle now, would they?

After all of that was done Arthur now needed to get to his real job, he needs to catch this culprit before anything else happens.

"Hey man!" He was greeted by his fellow American 'underling'.

"Hello, Alfred. What are you up to now?" He asked between sighs.

" I was going to ask you how you enjoyed the bar last night, I saw you talk to a girl there. So? Did 'wittle' baby Arthur get laid?" Asked Alfred carrying a childish tone in his voice.

"What the bloody hell! _____ is just a friend!" Shouted Arthur, he was surprised at his own words, did he really consider _____ merely a friend or was she more than that to him?

"_____? She has the same name as that opera singer, _____, right?"

"You dammed idiot! She is that same _____!" He said annoyed at the Americans cluelessness.

"What! So you're saying that you met a famous opera singer known all over England in a tavern and you didn't introduce me to her?" Asked Alfred.

"Here! Just take the bloody ticket and leave me alone! You bloody git!" Shouted Arthur handing him a ticket.

Alfred's eyes sparkled at the small piece of paper in front of him, he quickly snatched it from the Brits hands.

"Gladly! Shouted Alfred.
