It was a new week for Nellie and it has been a crazy one.Apparently puck had to get his head shaved because he had a mole there.And now he was getting bullied for it.Nellie had been staying with Kurt and Finn and it had been awesome.

Now Rachel had snitched that the other glee club members weren't doing their vocal exercise."What the hell Rachel?" Nellie snarled."Can't believe you narked on us" Finn hissed.

"It's Rachel,what did you expect?" Mike and Matt snickered at the comment."Don't get mad at me for exposing your laziness.I'm tired of carrying your weight.Regionals is in a month,guys"

"And I'm sick of singing backup for Rachel and Jesse." Nellie retaliated,huffing slightly.The rest of the glee club seemed to agree with her.Mr.Shue hasn't been giving out solos to anyone else except Rachel and Jesse lately.They have ok voices,but it was time to give someone else a try.

"I'm just trying to understand what's going on here.Finn,why did you stop singing?" Mr.Shue asked.

"Cause you started giving all the male leads to Jesse.It kinda shook my confidence,you know."

"What difference does it make? Everyone knows my job here is to look hot" Santana chimed.

"I'm confused as to why I'm even on the list.I pull my weight" Nellie said."Youre sleeping half the time.Even Jesse noticed" Rachel snapped."Because I have a medical condition you moron! And even when I'm not sleeping you know I'm up and ready to sing backup! Yippee! Nellie singing backup!"

"There are so many lyrics." Brittany said."A chain is only as strong as its weakest link.A glee club is about a myriad of voices coming together as one.All right? This ends now" Nellie rolled her eyes and looked down."Which is why your assignment for the next week is for each of you to come up with a song that best represents how you see yourself where you are in your lives right now.Your voice.Then....you're going to stand up here sing your heart out.All of you" This week was easy.Nellie was just going to watch camp rock again and sing "This is me" By Demi lovato and Joe Jonas.She had this week in the bag.

"Solos? In front of everyone?" Kurt gasped excitedly."The glee club has lost its voice.It's time for us to get it back." When the bell rang Kurt,Nellie and Mercedes walked out together.

"I am going to kill this assignment.If there's one thing that I know,it's my voice.I have exactly the same vocal range as 16th century castrato Orlando do Lasso.But you know what he didn't have? A song by Ms.Whitney Houston in his back pocket."

"Smooth" Nellie said.They kept walking until Mr.Hummel called out for Kurt."Dad? What are you doing here? Is everything ok?" Nellie leaned against the wall with Mercedes,trying to listen in on the conversation.Sounds nosy,but hey it's her best friend.

"Oh,I'm here to pick up Finn.I got a pair of tickets to the reds game,and Carole said that Finns never been to a major league game before.I mean it's Cincinnati,so it's barely the major leagues,but still." Mr.Hummel explained."And why wasn't I invited?" Kurt asked.Nellie stared at Kurt.There was no way Kurt was into sports.He like fashion and Broadway,just like Nellie did.That's why they were so close.

"Are you kidding me? Every time I sit down to watch a game you start in on the fact that all the players are wearing stirrup pants."

"Because there's never an excuse fir stirrup pants!" Kurt argued.Nellie decided she heard enough and walked away and leaned against her locker playing with her fingers.

"Hey Nel,you ok?" Puck asked leaning next to her."Yeah,just something with Kurts family.It doesn't have anything to do with me."

"I need your help" Puck told her."Whats wrong?" Nellie asked worried."I'm trying to get Mercedes to like me."

"Mercedes? Since when did you like Mercedes?"

"Since I'm basically a loser and Mercedes is my only chance at becoming popular." Puck explained."And how's that my problem?" Nellie yawned."You're her friend.You can give her a tip that I'm a good guy" Nellie chuckled and shook her head.

"Puck,you sad sad fool.You really think she'll listen to me? You can throw that out the window.Why don't you sing her a song? You'll get the assignment for the week out of the way,and you may be able to score some points with her." Nellie explained.Puck nodded and then his eyes lit up.

"You're a genius Nel!" He kissed her cheek before running off.Nellie simply grinned.

"Don't have to tell me twice"

"I'm confused Nel,why are we watching this movie again?" Kurt asked as they both sat in front of Kurts tv."Because Kurt,I'm trying to find the song for the assignment.Believe it or not they do have some stupid inspirational songs in here" It was true.Camp Rock was one of Nellies favorite Disney movies.Kurt watched with fixed eyes as she fast forward the movie until the song came up.

"Here! Watch!" Kurt shrugged and watched as Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas sang the song.After the song Nellie turned towards Kurt who was grinning.

"So.Does this song sound good for the assignment?" Nellie questioned hopefully.Kurt looked down."Kurt? Are you ok?"

"Finn and dad still didn't come back yet" He muttered to no one.Nellie furrowed her brows."Well yeah,the game is pretty long,I know because I once saw puck sitting in front of there for like three hours just watching-"

"Do you not see the problem here?" Kurt asked angrily.Nellie gave him a look and shook her head again.

"No,Kurt.What's wrong? You can talk to me" Nellie placed a hand on his shoulder,and Kurt sighed."I'm starting to think my dad likes Finn more then me.They hang out way more,and he's hardly ever spending time with me" Nellie sighed.She completely understood where the boy was coming from.Every time Nellie was about to talk to Hudson River Mr.Hummel would come in.

"Hey,I'm sure that he cares.You're his first born.Finn is a second option if anything.Ok?" Kurt nodded.Nellie was just glad she could help Kurt out when he needed it.

The next day was when the assignment was kicking off.Nellie sat next to puck as he was trying but failing miserably to flirt with Mercedes.

"Girl you got more curves then a Nissan ad" Nellie furrowed her brows and facepalmed.How did puck expect to win Mercedes over if he kept flirting like that?

"Seriously? That's what you came up with?" Mercedes questioned.Nellie let out a laugh."All right guys,let's get things started." Mr.Shue greeted.

"As I was first on the sign up sheet,I'll kick things off" Rachel said."I have chosen Miley Cyrus "The Climb" because it's about overcoming the obstacles and beating the odds.In my case the obstacle is you,my lackluster teammates who refuse to carry their own weight" Nellie was about to protest when pucks hand covered her mouth signaling for her to shut up.

For the first time in a while,Rachel's voice sucked.It was so off tune Nellie flinched back."Rachel,I think you've lost your voice" Nellie couldn't help but burst out laughing."What the hell is so funny?" Rachel glared.

"I'm sorry it's just that Mr.Shue said to find your voice and it's super funny that you just lost your voice so-"

"Nel,shut up" Puck warned.Nellie looked down,not hiding her smirk.After glee club,Nellie burst out in laughter again."I don't get why it's so funny" Finn said as they walked down the hallway together.

"Hudson River,you fool.Finally I can get a solo.And you can get one too.Since apparently Jesses with stupid vocal adrenaline." Nellie stated.Finn shrugged in agreement and Nellie stopped in her tracks.

"Just remembered its time for my nap.I'm out of here" Finn gave her a side hug before walking off.Nellie let out a sigh and grabbed her meds from her locker.She flinched back when she saw Mercedes standing there,not looking happy.

"'Cedes,you ok?" She asked."I'm not ok.Pucks been flirting with me all day and I'm sick of it.Are you helping him lead me on?" Nellie scoffed."As if.Puck is a moron,but he's also a good guy at heart.I guess that's all I can say,because then it'll seem like I am helping him.Just....don't overthink it.If that makes sense.It probably doesn't,but you know what I mean" Mercedes nodded as Nellie walked off again.

The next day it was Finns turn to preform his song for the week.Puck and Nellie were next,but they argued and argued and in the end puck decided he would go first.The glee club sat as Finn was getting ready to sing his song.

This drama was so confusing.Rachel and Finn start dating,then break up.Rachel gets with Jesse,and Finn gets all angry.Then Jesse and Rachel break up, at least that's what Nellie think happened.And now Finns crushing on Rachel again.At the end of the song Nellie clapped and so did the rest of the glee club.

"Nice work! Now that,that is the kind of soul exposing song I was talking about.We should all be inspired by Finns bravery.Good job,buddy" Finn went to sit back down and puck spoke up."Uh,Mr.Shue,can I sing my song now?" He asked.

"Yeah,just go for it puck.Nellie,you're next" Nellie nodded and watched as puck walked up to the front.The jazz band walked in and Mercedes and Nellie gave them a confused look.

"What are they doing here?" Mercedes questioned with a confused look."I invited my brothers from the jazz band and their righteous horns to help me out with my song.Since I shaved my Mohawk,I started seeing things differently.Last week I joined a black church,and I recently downloaded every song Sammy Davis Jr ever recorded on iTunes.He was a black Jew,you know.And my inspiration.So without further ado,I give you one of Sammy's biggest hits."

At the end of the song Nellie clapped for both of them."Ok,before we leave,Nellie is gonna preform her song." Nellie stood up and walked over to the front of the room.

"Ok,I chose this is me from camp rock because it's all about expressing who you really are and feeling good about yourself.Lately I haven't really been feeling good about myself,so I chose this song" Nellie nodded towards the band and Brad and the song started playing.

After the performance the glee club stood up and wrapped the girl in the group hug.She grinned and tried to hug them all back.It was good to know she had a family,someone to depend on when she's sad and down.

After glee club Quinn and Nellie stood by Mercedes locker as she walked off."Look,Quinn I could never see myself being into a guy like puck,especially because he's your baby's daddy but...something just happened between us." Mercedes explained."I say...go for it" Quinn commented.

"Say what?" Nellie asked turning towards the blond."Look,I screwed up by letting puck get me pregnant.He's an idiot,and his mother won't let me eat bacon.I'm stuck living with him right now,but at least if you guys are dating,I won't have to spend so much time listening to his insane theories on how super Mario brothers changed civilization." Nellie sighed in annoyance."I feel your pain Quinn" She patted her back.Quinn smiled at her and turned back towards Mercedes.

"But you do realize he's using you for your popularity so he won't get tossed in the dumpster" Quinn added.Nellie nodded."Thats why I'm telling you he's not right for you,'Cedes.You deserve better."

Nellie didn't even bother to help out puck anymore.He was crushing on Mercedes only to break her heart in the end when he grew his Mohawk back and his popularity was at a rise.It was honestly kinda sad."I know he's using me,but in a way it's even better.I'm not you.I've never had a guy like me for anything,but now I'm such a steaming mug of hot chocolate that one of the studliest guys in school wants to use me to harvest some mojo."

"We just don't want you to get hurt" Nellie said."I know what this is.My hearts safe."

"'Cedes,I'm not worried about your heart.Me and Quinn might be okay with this,but not even puck is gonna be able to call off Santana." Nellie shuddered in fear.Nellie had seen Santana fight before,and it was ugly.

Today Kurt was going to sing his song for the week.And Nellie was confused as hell when he walked in with a completely different outfit."The hell?" She whispered to herself.

"Mr.Shue,I'd like to start us off.I believe I found a song that finally got expresses my true voice." Kurt told as he walked into the classroom.

"Okay"

"Is there something wrong Mr.Shue?" Kurt asked stepping towards the man."I don't really think you got the point of the assignment.This was about finding a song that expresses who you are.That song didn't really sound like you."

"Well I'm sorry if I didn't live up to your expectations." Kurt snapped."No no,this group needs you to be you,Kurt.You can literally do things that no one else can."

"I'm not a box.There are more than four sides to me."

"Don't lose track of who you are just because it might be easier to be somebody else." Kurt stormed out and Nellie and Brittany followed."Hey Kurt,that song was hot" She commented.

"Oh..merci" Kurt responded."So you're pretty much the only guy in this school that I haven't made out with because I thought you were capital-G Gay" Nellie scrunched up her eyes before walking away.This seemed like a weird conversation and she didn't want to be part of it.So instead she pulled Santana aside.

"Santana,I know what you're going to do.Can you maybe lay off Mercedes....?" She questioned."Why the hell would I go for wheezy?" Santana snapped.Nellie shook her head."Because I know you.You're jealous that puck is going for someone other then you and you're going to do something about it.You can at least take it out in song." Santana sighed.

"I'm not going to do anything Nel.Don't worry" Nellie was worried though.Santana was not a force to be reckoned with,and everyone knew that.

The next day seemed pretty normal.Santana and Mercedes weren't fighting,and Nellie hasn't been feeling exhausted lately.Until she let out a loud cough in the back of the choir room.

"Nellie? You ok?" Puck asked."Yeah." She responded.Suddenly both Santana and Mercedes walked in singing a song.

Nellie let out a slight scoff and leaned her head on pucks shoulder.Then her head rose up when she saw the two girls fighting."Maybe hold back on the animosity a little bit all right?" Santana nodded and when Mr.Shue turned away she shoved Mercedes again."Seriously this ends now.Talk to the stick figure.Please,all right?" Nellie grabbed Santana and dragged her out of the choir room.

"What the hell was that? You promised you wasn't going to get into fights!" Santana rolled her eyes."Oh please,she started it by stealing puck from me!" Nellie rolled her eyes."Santana,she didn't do anything.Puck moved on"

"I can't believe you're siding with wheezy over there" She pointed towards Mercedes."I'm not on anyone's side.All I'm saying is that violence is not the answer" She stormed off.

Apparently Mercedes quit the Cheerios and broke up with puck.And Nellie was talking with Kurt by his locker."I'm happy you and your dad made up" Nellie commented as they walked inside the auditorium.

"Me too." Kurt said.Rachel's voice had gotten better and she was back to her annoying singing self.And it was the worse.Now it was time to sing their final song for the week.
