"Hey, how'd it go?" Nellie asked her boyfriend once Matteo walked out of Principal Figgins office. After the whole slap and punch incident, Mr.Shue reported it and pushed for Matteo and Santana to get expelled. Nellie thought that was complete garage, considering the fact that way more violent altercations had gone down in glee club and Mr.Shue never bothered to report it.

"I'm not getting suspended. Finn told them that I never even punched him in the first place." Matteo informed causing Nellie to furrow her brows.

"But you did. No offense babe but we all see you do it. Why would Finn vouch?"

"Who cares? I'm not getting suspended and as soon as I quit glee club I won't have to worry about that bastard again. Anyways, you feeling ok?" Matteo questioned as he grabbed Nellies hands. Nellie wanted to say she was fine, and that there was nothing going on. But the fact that everyone gave her glares and whispered as she walked down the hallway really made her feel uneasy and uncomfortable.

"I'm fine." She nodded causing Matteo to nod as well.

"Finn was going on about how there was something going on in glee today. Told me to come check it out. You in?"

"If you're in I'm in." Nellie replied with a tight lipped smile.

In the choir room, the troubletones and glee club were gathered on opposite sides of the room. Nellie refused to sit with the glee club, and Matteo was sitting with the troubletones because he also refused to sit with the glee club.

On the board, Finn was writing LADY MUSIC WEEK.

"Can someone tell us what's going on please?" Mercedes exclaimed as she was clearly annoyed with how no one was explaining anything.

"Yeah, I wanna know why I'm in the same room as these rejects minus Kurt and Jay." Nellie added as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"This week the Troubletones and New Directions.....will both be singing music created for ladies and for ladies." Finn explained.

"Oh hell no."

"Next week all of us will be going to sectionals. And one of us is probably gonna win. But Santana, we're worried about you." Finn continued on and Nellies facial expression softened.

"Worry about yourself fetus face." Santana snapped back.

"Glees about learning how to accept yourself for who you are.....no matter what other people think. That's what this music is all about."

"So wait. I don't even get a say in this? Not cool. And you never even apologized to Matteo. Why don't you make a week singing about child abuse or drug addiction? Would've been less torturous than whatever the hell this is." Santana scoffed.

"Matteo's important too, and we have something planned for him. But everybody in this room knows about you and Brittany and we don't judge you for it. We celebrate it because it's who you are. And Matteo, everyone knows of your drug addiction and abuse growing up, and the fact that you stood strong all these years is really awesome if you ask me. Look, I know not everybody outside of this room is as accepting and cool, but we're doing this assignment this week....so that you know in this rotten, stinking mean world that you at least have a group of people that will support your choice to be whoever you wanna be. That's it. That's what we're doing here."

"Yeah, let's all just like, sing a song. Because that solves everyone's problems right?" Matteo questioned as pure sarcasm was laced in his tone. Nellie placed a hand on his shoulder, trying to get him to calm down.

"Matteo, you're hurt. I understand. But—" Mr.Shue started but was rudely cut off by Matteo once again.

"You don't get it Mr.Shue. So you can miss me with that BS. But for the sake of everyone, I'm going to keep my mouth shut so we can get this god awful week over with." Matteo crossed his arms over his chest and leaned into Nellie who simply rubbed his back. Blaine and Kurt walked up to the front of the room causing her to furrow her brows.

"Santana, Kurt and I have a song we like to sing to each other in the car and we wanna sing that for you right now." Blaine said.

"While there's nothing I'd love more than having two pretty ponies serenade me, I think we'd get further staging a gel-ervention for Blaine.....than singing lady music." Santana commented.

"I know it's hard. It was hard for me too. But you can get through this."

"If you would just stop being so defensive."

"I'm trying, but your hideous bow ties are provoking me."

"Wait. Are we talking lady on lady or girl on girl? Cause there's a big difference." Puck mentioned causing Jay to glare at him.

"The hell is the matter with you?"

"Puck, focus, okay? Kurt, Blaine why don't you, uh, kick us off with what you got?" Mr.Shue suggested.

By the end of the song Nellie felt as if she had no choice but to clap because they did kind of do a good job while singing.

After glee Nellie and Matteo sat on the bleachers as she played with the rings on her fingers.

"I wanna go away." Matteo blurted suddenly causing Nellie to look at him.

"What?"

"I wanna go away, to like a remote island or something."

"Alright genius, how're you gonna get the money to go?" Nellie questioned with a raised brow.

"I don't know, maybe I'll become some stupid rich famous actor who pretends like their life is all fine but in reality it really isn't."

"Oh, so you mean every actor in the universe then?"

"Exactly! And I'll take you with me, and we can live happily ever after, just like in the fairy tale books." Matteo hummed causing nellie to giggle. He had such a huge imagination it was adorable.

"Jay also gets exclusive visits to our island." Nellie informed with a nod of her head.

"Of course. Hell he can even live with us if he wants."

"You sure?"

"Not really."

The two laughed at that, and it was the first genuine laugh Nellie has heard from her boyfriend in days. She leaned forward and pressed a kiss to his forehead, causing his cheeks to heat up and for a smile to appear on his face.

"I love you." He said.

"I love you more."

The next day it was Pucks turn to perform his song for Santana even though it was mainly targeted towards Shelby. Any idiot can catch onto that.

"That was for you. Santana. I know I was just part of a phase, but whatever. Happy to oblige, always."

"Jesus Christ." Matteo mumbled with a roll of his eyes.

Finn had performed his song for the week, Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Santana then forgave him and now it was only Matteo Finn had to convince.

It was the day of the election, and once the curtains closed and she stared at the names on the small piece of paper, she immediately knew who to choose. Brittany was one of Nellies friends, but Kurt needed to be President for NYDA and Nellie wasn't going to be selfish and take that away from him. And so she put a check mark next to his name and stepped out so the next person could vote.

After the election Nellie walked down the hallway to her locker when she caught sight of Santana pretty much being harassed by this random guy. Nellie stormed over to the guy and pushed him back harshly as the rest of the girls arrived.

"Move your busted creeper ass." Mercedes demanded.

"Now." Tina demanded.

"Easy girls, I'm just trying to make her normal." Josh defended causing Nellie to let out a dry laugh.

"She is normal." Brittany said.

"It's not a choice, idiot, but even if it were, you'd be our last choice." Quinn commented.

"Oh I get it. You're all a bunch of lesbos."

"Watch your mouth before I watch it for you." Nellie spat as she lunged forward but was held back by Tina and Quinn.

Later that day Nellie pulled Matteo into an auditorium because Finn told her that he had a song to perform for Matteo.

"Why am i here?" He asked Nellie who just smiled and shrugged.

"Finn said he had something for you. Let's just hear him out, alright?"

Matteo honestly considered saying no and walking out of the auditorium right then and there, but the look on nellies face was telling him he should at least stay.

Finn walked onto the stage and smiled when he saw Nellie and Matteo standing there.

"Matteo, I messed up. I know I did. Calling you out on something you really trusted me with was wrong......and for that I apologize. You're a really cool guy,  and one of the strongest people I know. Not many people would be able to get over something like that. And I've been treating you like crap lately, and I think the main reason for that is because I was jealous of you. Jealous because you're smarter, way more popular, and a really good in in general. And I hope this song can do something and that you can take me back as your friend."

By the end of the song there were tears in Matteo's eyes as he stepped forward onto the stage and wrapped Finn in a bone crushing hug. Nellie was crying a little bit as well as she also stepped up and hugged Finn. The three stood hugging for what seemed like forever, and Nellie suddenly felt as if everything could go back to normal.
