"so you're suggesting what exactly?" regina had pulled scarlett into an empty bedroom which scarlett didn't know why exactly she had followed. "i'm suggesting we break them up," regina frowned at her. "it's a pretty simple concept." scarlett crossed her arms. "but we don't like each other." regina paced the floor in front of her, annoyance written across her face. "do we have to like each other for this?" scarlett shrugged. "well i'm assuming scheming to break a couple up requires us spending time together."

"i'm sure we can do that if we want our relationships back," regina snapped. "i was never in a relationship with her to begin with," scarlett reminded her. "scarlett i really don't care," regina sighed. "are you in or not?" scarlett should not have been in and she knew it. regina had been scheming all of her life, it was fine for her. it was not for scarlett. and sure she wanted aaron and heather to break up, she might've wanted heather to be happy but she wanted the chance to actually tell her how she felt too. "ok," she found herself saying and for the first time ever, she found regina george smiling at her. it only lasted a split second before she had returned to her stony facial expression.

"ok let's go," she beckoned for the girl to follow her. "um, go where?" scarlett asked. "my place," regina frowned. "we can't do this here." scarlett's eyes widened. "you want me to get in your car and go to your house?" she asked. "oh my god please don't make this weird," regina rolled her eyes. "no, ok i'm coming," scarlett sighed. "i'll just meet you outside, i have to tell my friends i'm going." regina raised a brow. "would they even notice you're gone?" she questioned, ignoring the way scarlett glared at her in response. "fine, don't take too long," she waved her off. "and don't tell them what you're doing."

"don't worry i wasn't planning on telling them i'm willingly doing anything with you." she turned and exited the room before regina could come up with another snide remark. louisa had caught sight of her finally, waving over to her from where she was stood with maria. "where have you been?" louisa yelled over the music. "bathroom," scarlett lied. "i think i'm going to go home."

"what do you mean you're going home?" maria frowned at her. "i don't feel well," scarlett said and hopes that her friend wouldn't see straight through the lie. "do you want me to come with you?" louisa piped up from beside her. "no, no," scarlett waved her off. "you two have fun, i just need to sleep it off." louisa nodded and pulled the girl into a hug, making scarlett feel extra guilty. "call me if you need anything," she smiled at her. "thanks," scarlett replied, waving at them as she exited out through the front door. she didn't like lying to her friends but telling them what she was about to get herself into wouldn't have ended well.

"there you are!" regina rolled her eyes at the girl. she was leant against her car. "i thought you'd chickened out you were taking so long." she unlocked the door and gestured for scarlett to join her. it was weird, scarlett clambering into the passenger side of regina george's car. she wondered if the girl was actually secretly plotting her murder. "come on," she gestured for the girl to quicken up. "what, you don't want anyone to see the freak getting into your car?" scarlett shot back but regina didn't answer her. she just drove in total silence until they reached her house. which was way bigger than what scarlett had imagined and she'd imagined it pretty big.

"i know this is a big deal for you but could you stop looking so starstruck?" regina took her keys from the ignition before letting herself out of the car, scarlett having no other choice but to follow. "you have such a high opinion of yourself," scarlett scoffed, regina's heels clicking against the hall floors as she let both of them in through the front door. "hey gi!" a blonde rounded the corner, her voice echoing off the walls as she approached the stairs where regina was moving quicker than scarlett had ever seen her. "oh! who's this?" regina stopped halfway up the stairs. "she's no one mom."

"i'm scarlett," the girl interjected, glaring at regina. "scarlett!" regina's mom took a step closer to her, a wide smile fixed in place. "what a cute name! are you new?" scarlett shook her head, smiling falsely towards regina who gave her a warning look. "no i guess i just haven't been on your daughters radar until pretty recently." the woman looked between regina and scarlett in slightly confusion. "scarlett we should start on that project," regina said shortly before she turned away from them both. "yeah," scarlett nodded. "i better-" regina's mom nodded, practically pushing her up the stairs after regina. "of course!" she replied. "you girls have fun!"

scarlett followed regina closely to her room, everything about the situation she was in was so strange to her. if someone had to tell her at the beginning of the week that she'd be stood in regina george's bedroom she would've told them they were crazy. "your mom seems cool," scarlett commented, trying not to watch as regina ditched her shoes and coat. "please don't tell her that," regina groaned. "she'll never let it go."

scarlett found herself smiling at that. "noted," she replied. she would've taken a mom that desperately wanted to be seen as cool over her own any day. her mom had never wanted her and she made it sure that scarlett was aware of that. they barely even talked past small talk when they bumped into each other in the house. scarlett mostly confined herself to her room while her friends moms attempted to be the role model she had never had.

"your room is exactly how i imagined it to be." the shades of light pink and hot pink running throughout the room, the dramatic sign that adorned the wall along with pictures of regina with her friends was exactly how scarlett had pictured it. not that she spent her time imagining what regina's room looked like, it had just been a fleeting thought from when she had first known her and thought she might actually be tolerable.

"you've been imagining my room?" regina raised a brow. "weirdo." scarlett shook her head in total disbelief, she was hatching a scheme with the girl who couldn't go five minutes without calling her a weirdo, the regret was starting to sink in. "you know what's weird? being in your room in general," scarlett shot back. "it's making me think that this is a bad idea." regina say cross legged on her bed, watching scarlett pace her floor. scarlett hadn't planned to be curious about regina's life but she wasn't about to miss her golden opportunity to pry into the contents of her room. "no it's not a bad idea," regina bit back a smile. "because i don't have bad ideas."

"you're deluded," scarlett stopped at her wall. "is this you and karen as kids?" she tilted her head slightly. both girls couldn't have been any older than six in the picture, regina grinning widely at the camera while karen stared at her. "stop snooping, you're so strange." scarlett spun back to face regina. "it's been five minutes and you've already called me weird and strange." regina shrugged. "well stop acting weird and strange and i wouldn't have to call you those things!"

regina reached into her bedside drawer and pulled out a notebook while scarlett cautiously sat on the end of the bed. "i don't bite," regina rolled her eyes. "are you sure about that?" scarlett raised a brow. "are you seriously taking notes?" regina shrugged. "we have to have a plan." scarlett gestured towards the notebook. "you have a journal specifically for your schemes?" regina didn't answer her which probably should've been more of a concern to scarlett. "so what exactly are we planning to do?" regina's infamous mischievous smile spread across her face, one that scarlett only knew from being on the receiving end of it.

"aaron's like really insecure," regina began. "he thinks his girlfriends are going to leave him for the first guy that looks their way." scarlett scoffed. "didn't you leave him for that exact reason?" regina glared at her before clearing her throat. "he's also really big on trust so you could just get her to make out with you," regina continued. "or lie about it." scarlett's breath hitched in her throat. "i don't want to do that."

"what a big surprise!" regina said, her tone dripping with sarcasm. "you say yes to all this and then don't want to do anything because you haven't got a backbone." scarlett sat up straighter. "how about you stop acting like a total bitch?" she shot back. "have you ever thought that aaron doesn't want you because you're unlikeable and awful?" regina tilted her head. "oh please," she smiled bitterly. "you think anything you say to me is going to affect me in any way?" she looked scarlett up and down. "are you doing this or not?"

"maybe i should just go and we can forget about this and you can go back to glaring at me for no reason in the cafeteria," scarlett went to stand up but a hand on her leg had her sit back down almost instantly. "no, wait," regina sighed, running a hand through her hair. "how about you just flirt with her a little when aaron's nearby?" she removed her hand from scarlett as if she'd been shocked, scarlett had to resist the urge to roll her eyes once again. "and what would that do?"

"it'll make him crazy insecure." regina had obviously resorted back to her original plan of preying on aaron's relationship insecurities. "i didn't want any of the stream of guys that would constantly hit on me," regina continued, this time scarlett could not contain her eye roll. "he'd still get really wound up about it, if he sees you as competition and she sees me as competition, i give them a week, if even."

"you think i'm competition?"
"i think you're a freak."
