A/N: This story isn't a Y/N x (Character). It's with an OC instead.
"Where are you taking me?" I ask Cedric as he pulls me away from the grounds of Hogwarts.
It was an early spring morning, and the whistle of wind could be heard faintly as we got closer and closer to the edge of the forbidden forest.
"I told you already. It's a surprise," my boyfriend reminded me with a cheeky grin. He had been so busy trying to figure out what the first task would be for the Triwizard's tournament that this was the first time in a week that we had had any time alone together.
We continue to walk into the foggy woods as the sun starts to rise. Once we got to a spot where you couldn't see the castle behind us, Cedric stopped before a tree as he looked up. "Why did we stop?" I ask as I furrow my eyebrows in confusion.
"The first time we met was in our first year. You and my sister were running around the castle searching for me. You two probably passed where I was about..." He takes a moment to think. "Four times before I decided to stop your little hunt."
"Where were you?"
"Up in that tree in the courtyard. No one ever went up there until that bloke Malfoy started to bully his peers with his friends up there," He sighs before letting go of my hand to get a firm grip on a thick branch and pulling himself up.
"I started climbing up trees with Jamie when we were little and I always enjoyed trying to go as high up as possible." He continues before turning to me, crouching, and reaching out a hand for me to grab. "Care to see why?" He asks, a suggestive smirk present on his lips as he waits for me to take his hand so he can pull me up.
I look up into his stormy grey eyes before smirking, reaching up to the same branch he did, and pulling myself up on my own, to which he huffs a smile. We both stand as we try to balance on the twisty branches full of twigs and the multiple pretty green leaves.
We grin at each other before both make our way to climb as high as possible. I do my best not to look down at the ground, which is multiple feet below, as we gradually get higher and higher. We climb before we reach branches that would surely break under our weight.
I stand near the trunk and look at the sunrise coming up from behind the castle. Cedric moves to stand next to me, one hand on a branch above and the other wrapped tightly around my waist, making sure there is no chance of us falling to the ground far below.
"Woah," I say in awe as I look at the various colours of yellow blending into pink and then into blue in the sky. The fluffy clouds create a soft atmosphere. I look over to Cedric only to find him already looking at me, his silver eyes staring into my light brown ones.
"What do you think?" He asks, still not looking away, awaiting my reaction.
"It's beautiful."
He smiles softly at my comment before leaning in to lay a light kiss on the crown of my head. He tilts his head on mine as I rest my head on his shoulder. We stay and watch the sunrise for another hour or two, enjoying each other's company as we talk about anything and everything, before going back down to head to the great hall for breakfast.
