"Giyuu, we're gonna be late," you said, sitting on his kitchen counter as he trailed unreciprocated kisses down your neck.

"So?" he mumbled against you, hands on your waist.

"If we don't get going now, I fear we'll never make it," your hands found their way to his hair.

"If you keep grabbing my hair like that, we're definitely not going to make it,"

He pulled away before placing one last quick kiss on your lips.

You slid off the kitchen counter and made your way to Giyuu's bedroom to make sure you had everything packed, particularly because you were spending an entire week back home.

-

"That's your seventh cup of iced coffee in the span of 3 days," Giyuu looked at you in disbelief as he got out his credit card.

The drive back to your parents went quickly. Maybe it was because you were with Giyuu, or perhaps it was because, for once, you were genuinely excited to go home.

Giyuu's black Mercedes pulled up outside your house in what felt like a matter of minutes.

"Ready, gorgeous?" he  asked before unlocking the car doors.

You walked up the familiar steps to your parents' house, pressing the doorbell.

Two very excited looking women opened the door, one of them being Giyuu's mother.

They invited you inside, pulling you both into tight and loving hugs.

Even your dad popped out of his office to say hi before returning to his repetitive cycle of work.

Your house still had the warm welcome feel, even more so now that it was summer.

You talked to your mum briefly before she and Giyuu's mum went out to go shopping.

You plopped yourself down on the sofa, and so did Giyuu.

But as you sunk into the cushions of your pristine white sofa, the caffeine began to wear off, and you grew tired.

"Come here," he said softly,  opening his arms.

You repositioned yourself, so you were cuddled up against his side.

"Sleep darling, I'm not going anywhere," he gently rubbed small circles on your back and pressed a soft kiss on your head.

You practically melted in his arms, the sound of his heartbeat almost echoing through your ears. His breathing was steady, and his lips were so soft and delicate against your head, almost like a rose petal.

Eventually, your eyelids fluttered shut, and the darkness engulfed you into a deep sleep.

-

You woke up in your own bed.

Without Giyuu.

You frantically looked around. It took a second to realise where you were.

You instantly grabbed your phone, checking the time.

It was only 4:30pm, so you'd only been asleep for a couple of hours.

Giyuu <3

I had to go sorry, love :( <3

You hopped in the shower, feeling slightly disgusting after being on the road for 4 hours and then asleep for another 3.

The hot water relaxed your muscles, and it wasn't long before you were back in your room, in a fresh set of clothes.

"Y/n," a voice called out.

You turned to be met with your father.

"I just wanted to say congratulations on completing your first year. I'm proud of you." he placed a hand on your shoulder, displaying a single nod.

Your eyes slightly widened in shock.

Did he know what course you were doing?

"Your mum told me, by the way. I'm still not 100% happy with the idea, but your mother made me realise how much talent and potential you hold,"

"Thanks, dad..."

"No problem," he turned to go back in his office.

That evening was spent at home, you had dinner with your family, and watched a bit of TV with your brothers before relaxing in your room for the rest of the night until you fell asleep at around midnight.

-

The sound of commotion coming from your kitchen woke you up and out of annoyance and curiosity. You sleepily stumbled in to see what the hell was going on.

On the sofa were too women, both of whom were holding cups of tea, and to the left of them, your brothers play fighting.

"Morning honey," your mum smiled.

"Sorry, Y/n Giyuu isn't here. Feel free to go round to my place and visit him, though," his mother gave you a smile before continuing her conversation.

You thanked her, heading back to your room.

-

Giyuu's family home wasn't too far of a walk, so it's not like you bothered dressing up.

You had slipped on a pair of shorts and an oversized t shirt, as well as the slides you had brought back home with you.

The day was pretty and calm.

The shops had just opened, and the streets weren't filled with cars.

You approached the house, pressing the button that opened the gate before walking up the stairs and pressing the doorbell.

You took a small step back as you heard his footsteps.

You invited yourself in, immediately pulling him into a hug.

"I appreciate the hug, but it's not even been 24 hours since we last saw each other,"

"Exactly, it's been ages," you muttered against his chest.

"You're too cute," he said, ruffling your hair.

"Have you eaten?" he asked as you walked alongside him into the kitchen.

You shook your head.

"I'll make you pancakes,"

-

"Thank you for the food, my love," you said, pushing your plate to the side.

"Of course," he took your plate and put in the dishwasher.

"What did you wanna do?" he asked, resting his chin in his hand.

"We could just head out for a little and wander around town?" you suggested.

"Sure," he ran a hand through his slightly messy hair.

-

"This place has not changed a bit in almost twenty years," you spoke, as you walked past the all too familiar houses and shops.

You greeted another one of Giyuu's neighbours.

"Even the people are still the same,"

You turned the corner and began walking towards the centre of town, and Giyuu interwined your hands as you did so.

The weather had already gotten warmer by the time you were down there.

You picked up a bottle of water at one of the small shops, so not to get dehydrated.

"I'm getting  flashbacks," you smiled as you unscrewed the lid. "

Giyuu tilted his head in confusion.

"To when you bought me water at the beginning of the year on the way back from the park,"

"You were so stubborn," he shook his head.

"And rightfully so!" you playfully argued back.

"But now," he tucked a strand of hair behind your ear, "things are different ,"

You walked some more, making your way from shop to shop and by about 2pm, you hands were full of bags.

Giyuu offered to carry some, but you refused.

"Y/n, I don't think it's physically possible to carry so many bags,"

"Well, I'm managing perfectly fine," you stated, only to nearly drop one seconds after.

Giyuu gave you a look before removing two of them from your wrist.

"It's out of love, I promise," he reassured, right before you ended up in a small ice cream parlour.

You slid into a booth, placing the bags next to you.

"What flavour would you like, love?"

"Vanilla and strawberry, please," you responded before he went up to order.

"Happy?" he asked after you finished eating.

"Very," you smiled, leaning back.

"So, where next, pretty boy?"

"Home and watch a movie?"

"You read my mind," you grinned.
