2 weeks.
It had been 2 full weeks since you had last seen or spoken to Giyuu.
2 weeks since you had stormed out of his apartment.
2 weeks since you had even thought about the project.
You weren't all that hurt by what he had (almost) said anymore, it was more the situation. The fact that the reason you weren't talking was because of a misunderstanding.
A misunderstanding that could probably have been so easily avoided, if you both had just listened to eachother and maybe found a compromise, instead of immediately jumping to conclusions.
It was a late Sunday night, and you were lying in your bed, moping like you had been the past 2 weeks.
You sat up, and buried your face in your hands, ignoring the half finished canvas that was sat just a few meters ahead of you.
It was getting late, but you were restless and anxious.
Mitsuri was a heavy sleeper, so you figured that if you left the dorm to go on a quick late night walk, she wouldn't notice.
You caught a glimpse of your lockscreen and got a feel for the time.
11:50pm
You weren't up to putting on your actual shoes so slipped on a pair of slides you found in your wardrobe, and quietly made your way to the door.
After succesfully exfiltrating the building, you breathed a sigh of relief as the cold night air hit your cheeks.
It was almost soothing to be standing in the middle of the pavement, alone. You took a few seconds to gather your thoughts and made your way further down the path.
You wandered around campus for a bit, walking past the different departments and subconsciously, your feet carried you towards the art department, which would always be your favourite.
You mindlessly made your way over to a wall near the department which overlooked the city. As your fingers traced a beautiful mosaic attatched to the wall, a deep sigh left your lips.
For a brief moment, you were relaxed, until you felt the presence of the person you had all intentions of avoiding.
"L/n?" his voice was gentle.
You turned around, the beating of your heart making its way up to your temples.
"What are you doing out so late?" he questioned.
"I should ask you the same thing," you huffed stubbornly, avoiding eye contact.
He moved forward so he was next to you.
You stood there quietly with him, for a few seconds before he broke the silence.
"I'm sorry," he said, looking out towards the city.
"Me too," you responded, biting the inside of your cheek, "I thought we were past this,"
"I know..." he responded "We'll get there though, I'm sure,"
"You think?" you brought your gaze upwards.
"Mhm," he mumbled, his eyes meeting yours.
You stayed in silence for another few moments, for some reason it was oddly comforting and you didn't want him to leave.
"Are you okay though?" he asked, referring to the fact you were outside at almost midnight.
"Yeah I'm fine...just couldn't sleep " you ran some fingers through your hair.
"Is it art related?"
"Yeah I have this canvas I need to finish for tommorow morning and I'm barely half way done..." you muttered, lowering your gaze down towards the floor.
He gave you somewhat of an apologetic look.
"What are your plans for the holidays?" he asked, attempting to make conversation.
"I'll probably go and visit my family. I think my Mom and brothers would be happy to see me."
"Your Dad?"
"You of all people should know the answer to that," you chuckled slightly.
"Touchรฉ," the corner of his mouth twitched, again.
It midnight now, and you were slowly growing tired.
"Tired, L/n?" Giyuu's voice was softer this time.
You mumbled a 'mhm' as you leaned against the wall, resting your elbows on top.
"You should go home and sleep,"
"Canvas." you grumbled out, too tired to form a complete sentence.
"L/n I'll literally ducktape you to the bed if I have to, please for the love of god go home and get some sleep,"
"But-"
He cut you off.
"No buts. Come on I'll even walk you back to your dorm," He shoved his hands in his pockets, waiting for you to lift your head up.
You mumbled undecipherable words of disapproval but finally raised your head from your hands.
You plodded alongside him as he walked next to you. Your shoulders were slumped and your eyes were growing heavier by the second.
You were, unfortunately prone to nasty headaches and migraines and as you and Giyuu meandered through the paths of campus, you felt your neck begin tense up and your head begin to pound.
Giyuu noticed and stopped in his tracks.
It took you a second to respond.
"My head is fucking killing me,"
"This isn't the first time it's happened L/n, maybe you should see a doctor..." he suggested.
"I used to take medication but I ran out of it recently and haven't had the chance to get the prescription renewed,"
"What medication?"
"Sumatriptan."
"What dosage?"
"50 mg." you responded.
"I think I can help you, but it would require us going all the way back to my apartment..."
"Okay." you responded, massaging the side of your head.
You didn't really care anymore, you just needed some sort of pain relief.
"Can you walk okay?" he asked.
"It's a migraine Tomioka I'm not fucking crippled," you groaned.
"Note taken."

It didn't take long for you to arrive at Giyuu's place. You didn't say too much to eachother on the way over, but you figured it was for the best.
As you approached a set of somewhat familiar doors and entered Giyuu's apartment, the realisation of what you were actually doing finally hit.
And, as everything caught up to you, you ended up collapsing in Giyuu's living room on a comfy armchair that sat in the corner.
Truth be told, he really didn't mind. He brought the medicine over to you as promised, as well as a glass of water.
"How you feeling?" he asked.
"A little better," the corner of your mouth quirked upwards, as you leaned your head back and closed your eyes.
"That's good to hear L/n,"
"What time is it now?" you asked, a yawn escaping your lips.
"Almost one, "
'Shit' you thought.
"I should probably get going then, I still have work to finish," you stated before heaving yourself out of the surprisingly comfy chair.
But Giyuu stopped you.
"L/n you are insane if you think I'd let you wander back at this time especially if you're still not feeling 100%,"
You turned your head, mouth agape, unsure of what to say.
"Also forget about the fucking canvas L/n. Your health is more important and I'd prefer you alive funnily enough,"
"Fair..." you responded, still slightly shocked.
He leaned against the wall and shoved his hands in his pockets.
"There is only one bed though. So would you be fine in here? there's extra blankets and stuff in the compartment below,"
You nodded. "Yeah thats fine, I don't wanna be too much of a bother anyway"
"Don't worry about it," he reassured, before exiting the room, leaving you too your thoughts.

You slept well.
Really well.
However, you did forget to tell Mitsuri where you were, so there were a lot of frantic messages when you woke up.
MITSURI
Mitsuri
OH MY GOD Y/N
WHERE ARE YOU
you
i stayed at tomioka's place !
it's a long story i'll explain
when i get back <3
You turned your phone off as you heard the footsteps of the black haired male.
As he entered the room you had to force yourself to keep your composure because my god he was so gorgeous.
His hair wasn't tied up as usual but instead, down in all its glory and slightly messy. His eyes were slightly droopy, as if he was still half asleep and the material of his shirt hung loosely around his torso.
"Hey," he muttered, making his way to the kitchen.
"Hi," you smiled back.
"Did you sleep okay?"
"Mhm" you smiled, bringing your knees up to your chest and brushing a strand of hair out of your face.
After Giyuu poured himself a cup of coffee and he came and sat down opposite you.
"Sorry L/n I didn't even ask if you wanted some,"
"It's okay, I'm gonna get going soon anyway,"
"Alright," he sighed.

You ended up walking back with Giyuu, it was mainly a coincidence but you didn't complain. After everything that had happened recently, you had an urge to spend more time with him.
"See you around L/n," was the last thing he said to you, before disappearing into the large sea of university students.
Mitsuri had dance but promised to get back asap, so when you arrived back home, it was just you.
Your mind did wander to the mountains of unfinished work, but Giyuu's words from yesterday brought you back down to earth, and in the end you settled with the fact that your art teacher wouldn't mind if you did hand it in a day or two late.
As you made yourself a hot cup of tea, waves of excitement rushed through you, mainly relating to you and Giyuu's improved...?
You still weren't sure what it was.
Acquaintanceship?
Friendship?
Either way, you were glad to be making progress; it put your heart at ease.
And for the first time in weeks, you were happy.
