Few days after the separation, Druig found that you were with Gilgamesh and Thena and came to see you.
When he had arrived, you had slammed the door on his face, causing him to grimace. He wasn't expecting any less of a reaction from you, but it still bothered him.
While Druig was giving you his big apology speech, Thena kept hurling cosmic weapons at Druig, projecting her anger at him for abandoning you without speaking a word.
Druig managed to dodge all of her attacks, only because he peeked into her mind and foresaw her moves.
Gilgamesh barely greeted him, as he too wasn't pleased with the way he just left without telling a word to you.

Soon, with lot of persuasion, apologies, promises to make it up to you, Druig mended your relationship back together again and you moved in to live with him in the Amazon.
Thena only agreed 'cause Gilgamesh may not be able to handle both herself and you, in case you both get an episode of Mahd wy'ry at the same time.
One day, Gilgamesh had come to ask for your help; he wanted Druig to use his powers to put Thena to sleep since he had wanted to take a vacation to Fiji and was scared what if Thena lost control or had an episode when he was gone. Druig was happy to help and you visited your mother often, checking in with her.
As time passed by, Druig got your heartfelt forgiveness and he was more than glad. Years passed as Druig only fell more and more in love with you.
He visited Thena to get her permission to propose you, and also Gilgamesh's, since you both had a father-daughter bond.
"You hurt my baby again," Thena summoned a spear of cosmic energy, "I will slice you apart like one of Gilgamesh's pie. No hesitation," she threatened him mercilessly.
Druig's eyes widened in half amusement and half surprise, "Would never dream of it. Both hurting her, and getting sliced like a pie," he added the last part doubtfully, as though he was mocking her.
"You'll be answering to me too," Gilgamesh spoke up from the walking out with an apron.
Shortly after, Gilgamesh and Thena aided Druig with the proposal, which made the former shed a few tears at the scene.
"Are you crying?" Thena rubbed his back to soothe him as you and Druig turned to him.
"I'm just sensitive," he defended, pulling you into a paternal bear hug.

⭒─ 21st CENTURY ─⭒
📍 AMAZON
Druig closed the door behind him after he walking into your shared home. He frowned at the silence that followed his arrival, since he was expecting to be greeted by you.
The afternoon sun blared down at the trees of the Amazon forest, the branches and leaves casting an irregular pattern of sunrays on the window of your living quarters.
Druig walked over to the living room and saw you facing the window with your back to him. In the reflection of the glass, Druig noticed your eyes were milky white and cursed under his breath.
"Everyone in Centuri-6 is going to die," you spoke without any emotions, summoning a sword in your right hand and turning to swing it at him. The weapon sizzled through his shirt and burnt his skin, causing him to let out a hiss of pain.
"Y/N," Druig called you out cautiously, ready to use his powers on you, "Give me your hand," he held his hand out towards you.
"It's too late," you grumbled, "We can't save them,"
"Love, listen to my voice," he soothed, "Don't listen to your head. You're safe," Druig spoke, watching you blink, "You're with me, Y/N. Come back to me,"
His hand slipping into your lose grip when the weapon in your hand disappeared into nothing.
With your mind slipping in and out of your control, you ran sideways into a photo frame, making the glass shatter into pieces and dig into your exposed skin. You grunted in pain, sliding down to the floor.
"Y/N!" Druig was quick to take control, using his powers on you. He hated it, using you and treated you as he did with others, but he couldn't fight against you.
Your eyes now glowing gold, you curled in your place, shutting your eyes tight. When you opened your eyes, your boyfriend was kneeling in front of your, holding either sides of your face, "Druig,"
"That's right," he let out a breath of relief, resting his forehead against yours as you both closed your eyes.

You were wedged in between Druig's legs on the bed, with your side to his front as he tended to the minor injury on your upper arm.
You were staring off into the distance, deep in thought, "You know, you can have anybody you want, you know that right?" You spoke out of nowhere.
Druig paused his actions, glancing up at you with a frown, eyebrows still drawn together in concentration, "What's that supposed the mean, love?"
"I'm broken, Druig," You sighed, hanging your head low, "My mind is shattering—" you winced when he applied too much pressure on a wound.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry," he muttered profusely, pressing a kiss to the exposed soft skin of your shoulder that your sleeveless top showed.
"You can be with any other mortal here, you know, or someone else who doesn't have Mahd wy'ry," you continued, "Why me? Why someone so broken? And I even hurt you!" you gestured to the bandages on the gnash on his chest that was barely visible through his thin cotton shirt.
"It's fine," Druig finally finished tending to the wound and set the first-aid box on the bedside table. He wrapped his arms around your frame and pulled you into him in such a way that your back was pressed to his front, "And it doesn't even hurt, so it doesn't count," he added, kissing your temple in an attempt to ease your tensed state.
You leaned back into his touch, tilting your head to the side to rest it on his shoulder when he nuzzled into the crook of your neck.
You two remained in each other's embrace as Druig continued to whisper how none of what happened was your fault since you had no control over it and he will always be there to help you.
But you kept refusing, feeling your insecurities take over your mind, "You really think I'm worth saving? Worth going through all the efforts?" you glanced down at the engagement ring on your finger.
The question made Druig's heartache as he lifted his head from your neck. He held your chin between his fingers and made you look over your shoulder to face him, "You're worth everything, my beautiful," there was a flicker of gold right under the skin of your cheek and he pressed a kiss to it, distracting you before you could realize, "Because I love you, and we're meant to be,"
Your heart melted at his confession and you scrunched your nose at him, "Since when did you become such a hopeless romantic?"
"Ever since I laid my eyes on you," he responded fluently with a smirk, making you scoff a laugh.
"Oh please," you rolled your eyes with a hint of a grin, "Enough of that,"
"Seriously, though," he insisted, chuckling along with you, "And I'm never leaving you. I promise,"
You turned your head in such a way that your lips brushed against his. Looking up into his eyes, you slipped a hand up to his neck, tugging forward lightly but not enough for your lips to connect, "I love you,"
Druig's pale cheeks flushed pink as he stared down at you in adoration. He leaned for to press his lips against yours with such ferocity that it made your eyes flutter shut instantly, "I love you too, my beautiful," he mumbled against your lips.
