"What the hell!" He managed to ask again struggling with the hold of Kaushik had on him.

"Well! Hi bro" Vaishnav said trying his best to not laugh at his misery.

"Drohi, ni valle ayindi idi antha" He eyed Vaishanav as if he was any prey while the latter chuckled at the former.

(Cheater, everything happened because of you)

"Kaushi, vadalara vadini" Parvathi tried to stop the eye to eye fight.

(Kaushi, leave him)

"Haan pinni cheppu kasta veediki" at last after a long lasting look at him he left his collar.

(Haan tell him to leave me)

"Hasshh" the person sighed in relief making Kaushik glare at him.

"Deepu enduku late ayindi cheppu?" Gowri asked Deepak who's glaring at her son and everyone knew why.

(Deepu, why did you got late?)

"Drohi chudandi ela navvuthunadi" Deepak pointed towards Vaishanav who broke into laughter

(Cheater, see how he is laughing)

"Arey nenem chesa ippudu?" Vaishanav was struggling with laughter.

(Arey what did I do?)

"Mi gola aapandi inka, Vaishanav pada time avthundi. Parvathi velli Shashi ni theesukuni ra" Satyavati reminded them about the ritual need to be done on time.

(Stop your bickering, Vaishnav it's time. Parvathi go and bring Shashi with you.)

Everyone nodded except the confused Deepak not knowing why Vaishnav being the center of attraction with Shashi but none looked at his face.

"Vaishnav ekkadiki?" Deepak asked with a confusing face.

(Why him?)

"Adi antha neeku tharvatha chepta le ippudo inko 10 minutes lo ready ayyi rakapothe indaka ekkada aapano akkade modalupedta mari" Kaushik declared eyeing Deepak while he immediately ran into the room not wanting to face his wrath again.

"Lakshmi memu Shashi ni theesukuni veltham, meeru venakala randi" Satyavati said to them while the others agreed.

(Lakshmi, Shashi will come with us and you all come after us)

Soon Satyavati along with Vaishnav and Shashi reached Vaishnav's home and there everything is all set. Though it's not traditionally but as it is necessary for the ongoing ritual, Gowri along with Chandra did the Pandiri Rata in minimum time there.

Satyavati standing first holding Vaishnav's left hand followed by Shashi holding the little finger of his right hand with hers. The trio walked around the Pandiri Rata surrounding the four pillars for three times and they were made to sit down with Satyavati in middle of them for the ritual.

Then the elderly married woman will first apply turmeric paste to the groom then to the bride and ward off the evil eye.

Telugu marriages are incomplete with Mango leaves which are used for the decoration of mandap, Turmeric which is definitely needed to purify the groom and bride and Kumkuma.

After everyone applied pasupu (turmeric) to the bride and groom, the youngsters are all ready with colors and mainly Deepak. Sensing the fact, Vaishnav nodded his head in no but none cared and Deepak smeared a handful of colors on his face.

"I won't leave you idiot" Vaishnav yelled trying to wipe the color.

"First you wipe away those color then challenge me stupid" Deepak said laughing followed by others.

"Abba malli modalupettara meeru, inka aapandi." Satyavati said in a stern tone and she signed to Gowri.

(Ah you started again, stop it.)

"Mythri, Annayya daggariki velli kongu chachu." Gowri said much to Mythri's expectations and she obliged like a perfect child and soon she got the value of her doings. It's ritual where the females who are in sister relation to the groom, they spread the end of their duptta or saree in front of him and the groom should put money in their saree.

"Deepu Anna, nuvvu kuda pelli chesukovachu kada" She asked like a innocent kid.

(Deepu brother, why don't you get married?)

"Mari bagundi idi, neeku dabbulu vastayi ani nenu pelli chesukovala" Deepak countered her which she royally ignored as the answer is not in her favor.

(Wow, I have to marry someone just cause you will get money.)

After every cousin in the relation of sister got the money (the brother too gets chance after marriage) the bride and groom were separately taken for the auspicious bath Mangalasnanam.

Telugu Weddings are quite different from the other ones even from the other southern ones. Unlike the other South Indian Weddings, it doesn't take place in the morning, but somewhere close to midnight and rarely in the mornings of course because of the Muhurtham.

Mangalasnanam can be translated as Auspicious Bath. The bride and groom must take an auspicious bath on their wedding day. The bath is believed to cleanse and purify them. It makes them ready to the sacred rites that are to be followed next.

During the kallagollu ritual, some members with the same surname as of groom will go to the nearby water body and get the fresh water which will be used for the Mangalasnanam.

Both Vaishnav and Shashi were taken for the Auspicious Bath separately. Firstly making them sit on a chair, women apply oil to wipe off the turmeric from the body and then pour water filled with rose petals and all, on them with the help of strainer.

After having the bath and dressed in new clothes, Bride will be doing the Ganesha and Gowri Puja. Praying to Gowri Devi to grant the wisdom of leading her life happily with groom. Here, a small amount turmeric paste is shaped into the form a circular pyramid and is placed on betel leaf and is treated as the Lord Ganesha. The groom attends the ritual while the bride performs it. And the very same betel leaf is used for the wedding and there groom will do the Ganesha Puja.

During the Gowri Puja, pravara ritual also takes place which means changing the bride's gothram (clan) from her paternal one to the Gotham of the groom.

Elderly couples of both the families are required to witness the pravara ritual and bless the bride.

After the ceremony, everyone will go to the Mandapam for the Vigneshwara Puja which will be done by the groom in the same one as of bride.
