↣ 𝘒𝘪𝘴𝘴 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘰𝘺

Rowan appeared enthusiastic about the carriage that took her to the Royal Cotillion. As she approached the shore, her enthusiasm surged upon seeing her father and his wife standing tall.

Rowan made her way down the stairs immediately. Her hands were clasped in front of her as she smoothed out her clothes.

Her mother immediately encircled her in her arms as she approached her parents. She let out a little sigh as she felt her warmth. "Mom."  She muttered.

"Oh, darling, you look amazing." With their hands entwined, Rapunzel spoke, stepping back to gaze at her daughter.

"Oh, I guess she gets that from me." Both women rolled their eyes at her father's comment. As her father kissed the top of her head, Rowan put her arms around his waist.

Then trumpets began to play. Lumier, on top, cleared his throat after savouring his moment in the spotlight. "The future Lady Mal." He put out his arm to introduce himself. Mal slowly emerged, her blue and golden outfit showing.

As Mal descended, Ben's father met her midway and accompanied her. After Mal spoke with Ben's parents, Evie approached her and held her hand as they headed towards the crowd.

"She looks fantastic," Rapunzel says, glancing at Mal. who her friends were greeting. Rowan approached the gathering with a smile on her face.

"Oh Mal, you made it." Rowan says, giving the girl with purple hair a hug. Mal simply returned her hug with a smile.

"I received some encouragement." Mal chuckled uneasily.

Before long, Lumier resumed his old posture as the trumpets began to play again. He cleared his throat again, held out his arm, and stepped back. "King Benjamin!" After giving his introduction, Ben exited the building and made his way down the stairs, applause and cheers of everyone around him. Everyone bowed respectfully once he stopped.

Ben bowed to Mal, who curtsied back to him before both of them stood up straight. Expectantly, Mal smiled at Ben, but Ben simply shook his head.

"Mal, I wish I had time to explain." Ben spoke as he turned, everyone looked up the stairs to see Uma standing there with a smile on her face.

She started to descend the staircase. Ben seized her hand and kissed it quickly as she came to embrace him. Mal let out a cry of disbelief, tears welling up in her eyes. Ben gave Uma a gold ring that fit perfectly on her finger—exactly the same one he'd given Mal.

"I'm sorry. It all happened so fast. Something happened to me when I was on the Isle with Uma." Rowan looked at him suspiciously as he stared at Uma.

"It was love. I realized how alike Ben and I are, you know?" Uma asked, looking at him with a twinkle in her eye.

"Ben-Did you go back for her?" Mal asked, her voice wavered with emotion.

"He didn't have to. I dove through the barrier before it closed, and I'm an excellent swimmer." Uma smiled at her. "I just really want to thank you, I do, for everything."

Uma gave Mal an unexpected hug. Everyone was unclear of what to do as they assessed the circumstances. Ben pulled Uma away from her as they began to dance, appearing illly infatuated.

"Not too thrilled I risked my life for him." Carlos says as he glared at the brown haired boy.

"I wouldn't blame him; the pirates were kind of cute." They all turned to look at her doubtfully as Rowan spoke. "Sorry, not the right time."

With a gesture across the boat, Lumière said, "And now for the unveiling of King Ben's masterpiece, designed especially for his lady." The entire audience, including the group departing, turned to face the artwork as it was displayed.

The blue curtain parted, revealing a stained glass portrait of Ben and Mal. Mal had green eyes and was wearing a purple outfit. Everyone applauded when they saw the true face of Mal in the picture.

"He made it specifically for you, Mal; he recognises the real you, not the person you put on as a mask." Rowan remarks as she seized the girl's hand and gave it a firm squeeze.

"Cover that back up!" Uma ordered.

"I will not!"

"Um, uh-- why don't you tell everyone the present you have for me, Ben?" Uma asked nervously as she looked around the room.

"I have an announcement!" Ben began as he looked at Uma. "Uma will be joining the court tonight as my lady."

"Son." Adam spoke as he looked at his son.

"Not now, Dad!" Ben shouted at him, everyone stepped back in shock as they watched him. "Uh, so as my gift to her, I'm bringing down the barrier once and for all! Fairy Godmother. Bring down the barrier."

"I most certainly will not."

"I am your king!"

"Ben's been spelled." Mal gasped in realisation.

"Uma found your spell book." Evie says as they watched Mal walk back towards Uma and Ben.

"Ben-Look at me." Mal spoke as he looked at her.

"No, look at me- You love me, remember." Uma tried to talk to him but was being ignored. "Bring down the barrier now!"

"Ben, I never told you that I loved you because I thought that I wasn't good enough. And I thought that it was only a matter of time before you realized that yourself. But, Ben, that's me!" She spoke as she pointed towards the portrait. "I'm part Isle and part Auradon. And, Ben, you've always known who we were and who we can be."

"Don't listen to her."

"Ben, I know what love feels like now. Ben, of course I love you." She smiled as she took a stuttering breath. "Ben, I've always loved you." She pulled him into a deep kiss.

"A good story is never complete without at least one kiss." Rowan grinned at them and gushed.

Everyone smiled around them as the two pulled away grinning. "A kiss of true love." While Rowan smiled at her, Evie whispered.

Uma had destroyed the moment. She dashed back to the fairy godmother. She responded, "Ugh, give it to me," and grabbed the wand. Jude and Evie prevented Uma from approaching the Fairy Godmother. After then, Uma ran to the ship's balcony.

With a gasp, Mal followed her. "Uma, stop. No, no, no. Pointing to herself and the VKs, Mal said, "You are so much more than a villain and you have to believe me because we were all there. Do not let your pride get in the way of something you really want."

Rowa observed that Uma's shell necklace began to shine as she glanced at it. Uma sprang off the boat and into the ocean.
