Y/N'S POV.

it was about 10pm and vinnie and i were at one of his favorite skate parks.

this wasn't much of a surprise, but today i thought he was going to take me on an actual date. but this seemed fine. because as long as i was around him, i would find some way to enjoy myself.

since it was so late at night, everyone seemed to have already left. now we had the entire park to ourselves.

i was sitting on the grass, watching vinnie try to land sone tricks he has been working on.

"y/n, come here!" he called out to me. "i wanna teach you some stuff."

i smiled. that was very cute of him. but knowing myself, this was going to result in me ending up in the hospital.

"you want me to break some bones, vin?" i said which made him laugh. he knows how clumsy i am.

"c'mon y/n just try it out! ill be right here so don't worry."

his face is what eventually convinced me to agree and go along with it. i couldn't say no to vinnie.

i got up and walked over to him. he grabbed my hands as i tried to stand up on his skateboard. i lost my balance and fell. still holding my hands, he pulled me up.

"okay try bending your knees." he told me as i tried to stand on the board again. "it will make it easier for you to balance."

i followed what he said and surprisingly i was able to stand up and balance on it properly. i got a "good job" from vinnie.

next, he said he was going to teach me how to do an ollie. i watched as he showed me what it looked like.

i smiled and shook my head. "yeah no, that looks so hard."

"that's why im here to teach you." he grabbed me by the waist and i started to get butterflies as he carried me and set me on top of the skateboard again.

maybe learning these tricks weren't so bad after all.

he instructed me on how to do an ollie, and when i went to try, i found myself falling on my ass again. and again. and again.

"it's okay baby, you got this." he assured me.

after many failed tries i was about ready to give up. i decided that i would try one last time before i was done.

i followed vinnie's directions as he held my hands and tried to guide me.

this time i didn't fall down to the ground, and vinnie was cheering.

"there you go y/n!" he said as he went in for a kiss.

after all this hard work, it was finally nice to get awarded with some love. it was definitely worth it.

we stayed at the park for another five minutes until vinnie decidd to call it a night.

his hand in mine, we left the skate park and walked down the sidewalk.

"thanks for tonight." i said as i looked into his eyes. "i had a great time."

"me too. your a great date." he smiled. "i love you."

and before i was able to reply, i found him kissing me under the streetlight.
