Alice walked to the garden to come face to face with the man she was to marry. "Lord bridgerton." She squeaked staring into his eyes. "Alice." He said. And just like last time she did not correct him.

For some reason Alice felt like she couldn't breathe around him. "I'm sorry, I-" she started. "I know you do not wish to marry me but I promise you a good life and-"

Alice cut him off, "Anthony," she started calling him by his first name her breath caught in her throat as she stepped closer, "you remember two years ago when I ran away?"

"Yes..?" He started to question what she was gonna say. "The only reason I was to marry that man was because I was with child." She looked down in shame.

"His child?" Anthony spat. "No, yours."

Anthony blinked and looked to the floor tears threatening to spill from his eyes. "And w-what of the child?" He asked fists clenched.

"I do not know she was taken away from me." Alice stuttered looking at Anthony. "And you did not think to tell me if our daughter?" Anthony was surprisingly calm.

"I-" "I was forbidden to ever speak of her." Alice try's to justify herself.

Maybe there was hope in finding their daughter... or maybe she was hiding right under their nose's...

Rose ran around the castle but was stopped by one of the maids. "Lady rose who set you free?" She asked the giggling child. "I did." The queen smiled at her adoring child.

Except is was not her child. It was Alice's baby.
