( S2E4 ) "girl meets pluto"

Valentina POV

𝑰 was cuddling on my bed with Josh when I got a phone call from Topanga.

V: Hey Panga.

T: Hey Vale, Cory decided that he wanted to come to Philadelphia to dig up our time capsule from 15 years ago.

V: And... Or are you just calling to rant about Cory?

T: Yes... I mean No! I was calling to ask if you and Josh would like to meet us there since you guys live there.

V: Sure we would love to meet up with you guys. Did he drag Shawn into this?

T: No.

V: I bet you $10 he did and another $10 that he was already in Philadelphia.

T: You're on.

V: See you soon Panga.

T: See you soon Vale.

"What was that about Babe?" Josh asked

"Well your idiot brother..." I started

"Wait, which one?" Josh asked

"Cory." I said

"Ahh... Continue." Josh said

"Anyway Cory decided that he wanted to come to Philadelphia and dig up the time capsule from 15 years ago." I said

"Okay and what does this have to do with us?" Josh asked

"Panga wanted to know if we wanted to meet up with them and I said yes. Oh and I also made a $20 bet with her about Shawn." I said

"Okay they won't be her for a couple of hours so come back here." Josh said

He grabbed me by the waist and pulled me down next to him and I snuggled up into his chest.

Later, we met up with Cory, Topanga, Shawn, Maya, and Riley outside of Mr. Feeny's house.

"Hey guys." I said

"Hey Auntie Tina, Uncle Josh." Riley said

She ran over and gave us hugs.

"Uncle Boing!" Maya exclaimed

She ran over and gave Josh a hug. Topanga handed me $20.

"Ha! I was right!" I exclaimed

"Right about what?" Shawn asked

"I made a bet with Panga that Cory roped you into this and that you were already in Philadelphia. And obviously I was right." I said

"Oh." Shawn said

Soon we start digging. We continued digging for an hour having no luck finding the time capsule. Riley comes around with two flower crowns, one for me and one for Maya.

"Riley you're supposed to be digging." Maya said

"Oh but I was digging for a hour and all I found was this old metal box." Riley said

Riley takes the box off the ground and Topanga, Shawn, Cory, Josh, Maya, and I throw our shovels to the ground.

"Cory..." I hear Shawn say

I see Mr. Feeny. I get up with a smirk.

"What?" Cory asked

"I'm concerned." Shawn said

He looked at Mr. Feeny.

"What's there to be concerned about, Shawnie?" Cory asked

"That." Shawn said

He pointed at the light from Mr. Feeny's flashlight. Cory turns and gasped.

"Mr. Matthews. Mr. Hunter. We meet again." Mr. Feeny said

"Detention?" Cory asked

"Big boy detention." Mr. Feeny answered

"I won't do well in big boy detention." Cory said

I laugh.

"Feeny!" Riley said

Riley and Maya walk closer to him.

"Fee-hee-hee-hee-heenay!" Maya said

"What, what, what, what..." I join in

"Hey, hey, hey, hey..." Josh said joining in

Riley, Maya, Josh, and I start hissing at Mr. Feeny.

"Okay, let's go." I said

The four of us walk away.

"Mrs. Matthews." Mr. Feeny said

"How you doing?" Topanga asked him

"Put back my flowers." Mr. Feeny said

The he looked at us four.

"Except for those. I'll attend to those myself." Mr. Feeny said

We sit down at a bench and he follows, sitting in between Riley and I.

"Excuse me. Is he a good father, you poor, poor, little girl?" Mr. Feeny asked

"I'm very lucky." Riley said

"Hmm. Is he a good teacher?" Mr. Feeny asked Maya

"I think he's the best there is." Maya said

"Oh." Mr. Feeny replied

"But, he says you are." I said

"Oh. And that's what you were digging for?" Mr. Feeny asked

Mr. Feeny gestured to the time capsule.

"It's our time capsule, remember?" Cory asked

"I remember everything." Mr. Feeny said

"We wanna see how time treated us." Shawn said

"If we turned out like we hoped we would. Got any advice for us while we're all out here together, Mr. Feeny?" Cory asked

"Well, yes. It's been a long time, and you're still together. What else do you need to know?" Mr. Feeny asked

I looked at Josh.

Later, Josh and I drove back to New York with the three Matthews, Shawn, and Maya. Now we were waiting for Cory, Shawn, and Topanga to open their time capsule.

"All right, I'll go first." Cory said

"Now, no one knows what anyone else buried, right?" Shawn asked them

"Yeah, that was the deal." Topanga said

"Don't open it." Maya said

"Yeah, wouldn't you rather believe your lives are perfect?" Riley asked

"You make a good point, girls, you do. But, here's another point. Have you even met me?" Cory asked

He then goes into the box and pulls out a jean jacket. 

"There it is." Cory said

Topanga grabbed it.

"It's the jean jacket. It's the first time we said 'I love you.'" Topanga said

She tried it on. 

"And it still fits." Topanga said happily.

"Time has been good to you, Topanga." Cory said

"Time has been good to us all." Topanga replied

"And that's how you do the time capsule!" Cory said

I laugh. 

"Okay, your turn." Cory said

"Okay, don't overreact." Topanga said to Cory

She grabs something out of the box. A letter.

"Why would I overreact?" Cory asked her

"Because I know you're going to misinterpret this." Topanga said

She sat next to him and handed him the letter.

"Let's see. 'Dear Cory, if you would let it happen, I think you and I could have a future.' Topanga, what's wrong with this? This is great." Cory said

I smirk. Lauren.

"It's not from her." Shawn said 

"Aah!" Cory screamed

He threw it down.

"It's from Lauren." Topanga said 

I knew it!

"Who's Lauren?" Riley asked 

"Well, before we got married, your father met a girl at a ski lodge, and she really liked him." Topanga explained

"Matthews, you dog!" Maya exclaimed

"Is this why we never go skiing?" Riley asked 

"Why would you do this, Topanga? I... I buried a symbol of our love." Cory said

"Cory, I was threatened by this because I was young. The jean jacket was the first time we said 'I love you.' But, I almost let this little piece of paper hurt us because I was young. You always knew, but I didn't understand that our love will last forever. And that nothing could hurt it. I buried this because I hoped that when we opened it, I would be sitting next to you, and that I could go like this." Topanga explained

She tears up the letter.

"Here goes. All right, here goes. Ah... Shakespeare's sonnets. Vivaldi's four seasons. A Van Damme movie ticket. And lip gloss." Shawn said

Shawn pulled the things from the box. Riley grabs the gloss and smells it.

"Kiwi mango." Riley said

"Ah, me and Angela. We were gonna be Cory and Topanga. I guess there can only be one Cory and Topanga. But, still... Me and Angela. I wonder what she's up to nowadays?" Shawn wondered out loud

"Bye, Shawn." Maya muttered
