𝚡𝚡𝚒𝚒𝚒. 𝚋𝚊𝚋𝚢'𝚜 𝚏𝚒𝚛𝚜𝚝 𝚌𝚑𝚛𝚒𝚜𝚝𝚖𝚊𝚜

3rd POV

( noah is 16 weeks old )

"𝑨𝑹𝑬 you excited about your first Christmas Noah? What do you think you're getting?" Amy cooed to her youngest grandson

"A car!" Josh muttered, in a baby's voice 

This made Amy laugh at him.

"Honestly Josh!" Valentina said

Valentina shook her head lovingly at her boyfriend's antics. 

"He's still only a couple of months old! You are not getting him in a car yet!" Valentina said

"He wants one though Valentine!" Josh said

He walked over and wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her neck, he felt her body vibrating with the laughter which was coming out of her mouth.

"He wants to go in a car even though he has just started to lift his own head and still can't sleep through the night?" Valentina replied

"Well maybe if we get him a car, it'll tire him out and he'll sleep through the night?" Josh replied, cheekily

Then she heard a small cry from Noah.

"I think he's hungry Tina, do you want me to..." Amy asked 

She eyed the bottled milk on the counter.

"No thanks Amy, I'll feed him, he prefers it from me. Thanks for the offer, though." Valentina replied 

She stepped forward to take her son back in her arms. 

"I'll go to Josh's room, don't think Brett will want to walk into Noah having dinner again, I think it really scared him last time." Valentina joked 

She travelled up the stairs, trying to calm her son at the same time. Josh shook his head as he remember the look on Brett's face when he walked in on Valentina breastfeeding Noah, it was nearly as worse than the look he had on his face that time he walked on Josh and Valentina... well conceiving Noah.

"You still sure on not staying here tonight Josh?" Amy asked

Amy was trying to change her son's mind while his girlfriend was not in earshot. 

"Dad and I honestly don't mind..." Amy started

"No Ma, Valentine and I want to have Noah's first Christmas morning at home but we will still be coming around 12." Josh said

"Alright dear." Amy said

Amy nodded, sensing defeat

"Mom, why can't you just be happy that Brett and I are staying tonight?" Hollie asked 

She came in the kitchen, looking a bit offended, with Brett behind her looking bemused.

"Hollie! Merry Christmas! When did you get in?" Amy asked 

She threw her arms around her youngest daughter.

"Just now Mom, where's everyone else?" Hollie asked

She looked around.

"They're on their way. Josh and Valentina came early with Noah." Amy said

"Oh, so where's my nephew? Excited about his first Christmas?" Hollie asked

"I think he's a bit preoccupied, he's having his dinner." Josh said

Both Josh and Hollie laughed when they saw Brett grimace.

"Hey! If Vale said what she was doing, we wouldn't be having this problem!" Brett stated, defensively

"Well if you announced yourself and knocked before you walked into our house we wouldn't even be having this problem!" Josh said

Josh laughed.

"Please bad mental images – It's Christmas you shouldn't make me think of that!" Brett said

"You should have got used to it by now!" Valentina said 

She walked in the kitchen. 

"Noah went straight to sleep after he had his dinner so I put him in the crib in your room." Valentina told Josh 

He had noticed their son wasn't with her.

"Okay." Josh said

Josh took her by the hand and pulled her close to him. 

"You okay?" Josh asked

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" Valentina replied

She looked confused.

"Just checking if my girlfriend is alright? Where's the crime in that?" Josh replied 

He bent down to brush his lips against hers.

"No crime I can think off." Valentine said

Valentina sighed as she went back to kiss him again. When things were started to get carried away, they jumped apart slightly when Brett cleared his throat.

"Seriously do you just wait for me to be around to do that?" Brett asked

"Don't flatter yourself Brett." Valentina replied 

"Seriously Brett!" Hollie scolded her boyfriend

Amy laughed at her children antics. 

"Why don't you lot go into the living room and wait for the others in the living room?" Amy asked

In the living room, the Christmas tree was definitely very impressive and sent loads of memories hurtling back to Josh's mind.

"So how's parenthood going?" Hollie asked

"It's brilliant Hollie, I never thought of myself as a mother, until Noah came along." Valentina said

"Your brilliant mother Valentine, I always knew you would be." Josh whispered 

This made her smile.

"Thank you babe." Valentina said

Valentina closed her eyes as she lent further in Josh's embrace. 

"Though a downside is the lack of sleep." Valentina murmured

Laughing, Josh agreed. 

"True." Josh said

Just then they heard Noah's wails. Sighing, Valentina sat up.

"No, Vale – your exhausted I'll go, let me have some alone time with my nephew." Hollie insisted

She went up to Josh's old room. With Brett looking wistfully after her. 

"She's going to be a amazing mom." Brett said

"Course she will! She's amazing at everything else isn't she?" Valentina replied 

She sunk back into Josh's embrace.

Later that evening, Hollie followed Valentina up to her room to get Noah ready to go home.

"I don't think I have actually seen Josh this excited about Christmas ever." Hollie recalled

Valentina chuckled.

"You've got the toy car for Noah haven't you?" Hollie asked

Hollie had many talents in life but one was reading people, so she clocked onto how Valentina would almost act nervous whenever Josh brought up the car he was obviously desperate to give his son.

"Of course, It was one of the first things I got, even though I think it's more of a present for Josh at the moment then Noah." Valentina replied 

"Did you ever think that you would actually be here, dating Josh and having a son?" Hollie asked

"Of course I didn't, I hoped but... There's no point dwelling on the past now, there's so much more out there to come." Valentina said

"Of course there is." Hollie said

She nodded in agreement.

"So have you and Brett decided if you want any kids?" Valentina asked 

She continued up the stairs

"Not yet but..." Hollie started

"But..." Valentina prompted

"I do want them. You've made me all maternal with being around Noah!" Hollie accused

"Hollie you've always been maternal!" Valentina said

Valentina laughed. After a sound on the stairs the two women turned around to see Josh walk up towards them.

"You ready yet?" Josh asked, amused

"Erm..." Valentina said

"Got distracted?" Josh teased

"Yep! Give me a couple of minutes and we'll be ready to go." Valentina said

After a long but enjoyable day Josh and Valentina sunk into their bed. After seeing the time on the clock Josh whispered to his girlfriend.

"Merry Christmas, Valentine." Josh said

"Merry Christmas, Josh." Valentina said

"I can safely say this is definitely one of my favorite all time Christmases!" Josh replied 

He kissed her forehead.

"I'm glad, but it's only just started!" Valentina said

"So?" Josh asked

Josh bent down to kiss her; they stayed in a passionate locked embrace until they heard they're son's wails. 

"Try getting some rest Valentine. It's my night tonight to do baby watch." Josh said

"You're sure?" Valentina asked

Valentina yawned.

"I'm sure, goodnight Valentine." Josh said

"Goodnight Josh. Love you." Valentina whispered

"Love you too." Josh whispered back 

He walked into his son's nursery. As he picked up his son, Josh knew this definitely was one of the best Christmases he ever had.
