Sunday, XXXX [ conti. ]
Almond practically burst down the door to the building, not bothering to acknowledge any of the "staff".
Not that he needed to anyway.
The paper he had said that the participants were on the very top floor.
And that's where he went.
β
The higher floor took some time to reach, but he eventually did. He then sprinted to the door on the far hall that was down there.
The detective attempted to dig out whatever it was in his pocket before giving up & tried opening the door.
To his surprise, it was open.
Almond took one look at the roomβAll white.
And the missing participants.
But...Most of them were missing.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw his daughter.
She was safe.
"..Dad!!" The young detective says as she ran up to her dad and embraced him.
...
The [ older ] detective guessed that he was too focused on his daughter; he didn't see someone run past themβor the blood trail.
...
Almond was still confused, who was the person that did it? Who was the...Mastermind behind this?
After doing a few more documents on the case, he closed the folder and closed the folder with the evidence.
Cased closed.
Or...Was it?
