"i'll see you tomorrow hailee," hailees mom said as hailee shut the car door. "alright?"

"alright." she responded, smiling at her mother. "i love you."

"love you too." her mother said, waving to her. hailee gave her a small smile before turning around and walking up the door of sadies home.

she rang the doorbell and footsteps were immediately heard, and if hailee peered into the small windows next to the door she could see sadie, millie, and sophia racing down the stairs to try and get to the door first.

"hailee!" sadie exclaimed once she opened the door.

"hi." hailee replied shyly. she glanced to sadies right side to find millie smiling widely at her, then to her left to see sophia doing the same.

"come on," sadie said, taking hailees arm and dragging her into the house. "we're going to have so much fun!"

hailee followed the three girls upstairs and into sadies room. hailee had done this many times, of course, but with the two extra guests around it was awkward.

"okay, okay," millie began as she shut the door behind them. "we need to have the ultimate girls sleepover!"

     "agreed!" sophia exclaimed.

     "yes!" sadie said.

hailee awkwardly nodded. sadies small smile dropped at her best friends uncomfortable state.

"hey, it's okay." sadie reassured her. "you're going to love them just as much as i do."

"and we won't kill you." millie said. "we're not like the boys."

hailee cracked a smile at millies comment. "okay... i'll try to be my normal self."

"yay! we could use more girls in our friend group." sophia explained. "the boys get quite weird sometimes."

"mainly finn and jack." sadie said.

    "and noah." millie added.

"well... i only have sadie so i have nothing to compare." hailee stated.

"you have us now!" millie exclaimed. "we're all going to be besties whether you like it or not."

"i think i'll survive being friends with the millie bobby brown and the sophia lillis." hailee said. sophia and millie both beamed at the girl, happiness overwhelming them. they had finally managed to befriend the girl.

"okay, which movie?" sadie asked. "to all the boys i've loved before or tall girl?"

the girls had decided on watching movies after a few hours of talking and joking. sadie was currently browsing through netflix, trying to find a movie for them to watch.

"to all the boys i've loved before." millie responded.

"tall girl." hailee argued, not wanting to watch millies choice. she watched the movie once, and found that it wasn't very good.

     "oh come on!" sadie whined.

"hailee have you seen IT?" sophia asked suddenly.

hailee hadn't actually seen IT before. she never considered it either. after all, it was a killer clown movie. what was so good about that? hailee shook her head, and the redhead smiled.

"then it's settled!" sophia exclaimed. sadie immediately got the message and closed netflix, changing the input and finding the movie. "we'll watch IT!"

"i-i mean i don't know. no offense, sophia." hailee said. "killer clowns don't really interest me."

"well it isn't just about clowns." sadie said. "you'll get to see sophia!"

"yeah!" millie exclaimed. "we promise you'll love it."

sadie clicked on the movie and hailee sighed. no backing out. a boy appeared on the screen and hailee could've sworn she'd seen him before.

then it clicked. he was sadie's friend. of course. she then remembered that his locker was next to hers, and he always tried to talk to her, yet she declined his attempt to be her friend. sudden guilt drowned her, as she watched him talk to the small boy on screen.

'what was his name?' hailee thought. she couldn't think of it. she remembered being introduced to a jack, but the name didn't match his face. then she remembered when he introduced himself to her.

     jaeden.

     that was it.

she smiled softly at the movie, watching the younger boy hug jaeden. she found it cute, although she knew it wouldn't last because it was a horror movie after all.

as the movie continued, hailee found herself intrigued by jaedens character, bill, and whenever he was on screen her eyes were drawn to him. even if he was in the background.

but the thing that pondered her until she fell asleep, was why. why was she suddenly so interested in him?
