TOP GUN 2 : OFFICIALLY IN PRODUCTION!

It's official!

After being deprived of a sequel for 36 years, 'Top Gun' fans may have a chance at hope!

Top Gun 2 is believed to be under great depths of production after the Cruise father-daughter duo have been seen back in Fightertown, California, with their trusted directors, Joseph Kosinski, Christopher McQuarrie, and team.

Taylor Cruise is supposedly joining her father, Tom for the project, and it just leaves us all even more thirsted.

The Marvel actress  has been open about her past as a Naval aviator, telling W-News that she was 'just too excited to be back in the air', with her squadron, who most of the cast will be required to train with.

Rumor has it, the 34-year-old has been 'livening' up the shores of Fightertown, California, years after her unfortunate accident, from which, fortunately, she came out, safe and sound, had it not been for her Red Knights in shining armor.

Taylor took to Instagram, posting glimpses into her life as a Supervisor for the training of the 'newest Mavericks' alongside her trusted mentor from her days in the Navy, and as a star amongst the cast, making a special note that they were all 'in the safest hands'.

Taylor has been quite active on Instagram, posting several pictures with the, though, unrecognizable, what we can only assume, is the rest of the cast.

Till date, we have been able to recognize, Glen Powell, from Netflix's rom-com, 'Set It Up', and Monica Barbaro, from 'Chicago Justice'. We are yet to receive any more updates on the rest of the cast, but hopes are they'll declare it officially soon.

Alongside their now in-production and set-to-film project, the Cruise's have been hard at work, also taking up the sixth installment of the 'Mission : Impossible' series on screen, side by side.

Taylor is also set to star alongside her fellow Avengers in 'Avengers : Endgame', after a successful record for 'Avengers : Infinity War', which left every Marvel fan heartbroken.

These words only prove the fact even more that, not only are the Cruise's hard at work, they're also, really damn good at it, never disappointing the audience with either of their performances.

With the expectations set, and the talent as high for the ensemble cast, we can only hope 36 years was enough for them to finally bring the good old days back.

The fans seem to hope that the Cruise's will not disappoint, as always, because they've been at it long enough to know when something's going to go their way.

All these rumors only add to the 'Top Gun' fans' excitement, who have waited nearly four decades for a sequel.

On questioning the young Cruise why exactly it took so long for a sequel, Taylor mentioned, "Dad's been waiting for the perfect script for a long time now, and we finally approved it. The cast is perfect, and we're ready to roll the cameras within a few weeks. We've waited so long because we know this is one of those special things which we can not mess up, because it's just really that adored by the people. And, trust me, when I tell you, everyone's going to have a blast in those theaters."

Taylor always knows what to say, and how to keep us on the edge.
