"Sorry Knuckles, but Sonic is right. We're a team after all. If you do need some help, don't be afraid to call," Y/N comforted. Knuckles' brows furrowed in frustration, clearly still harboring some distrust towards Sonic. He crossed his arms, a sign of his defensive stance. "Fine," Knuckles relented reluctantly, his voice laced with a hint of warning. "But remember, Sonic, if anything happens to her again, you'll have to go through me." Sonic's confidence never wavered as he replied, "Never had and never will, Knux." The tension in the air was palpable as both Knuckles and Sonic stood their ground, growling like feral animals caught in a territorial dispute. Y/N, observing the scene, couldn't help but roll her eyes at the display of male bravado. The dynamics of their team were complex, with each member fiercely protective in their own way.

"Girls girls, your both pretty! Shall we go now? You act like I haven't saved your guys butts before! Please, my mind is 1000× more intelligent than yours."

Sighing quietly to myself, I reach for my bag, feeling the weight of its contents shift as I grasp it firmly in my hand. The bag, carefully packed with an assortment of tools and spare parts, serves as a constant reminder of the intricate maintenance required to conceal my true nature. With each passing moment, I become acutely aware of the need to proceed with caution, a need heightened by the recent revelation that my body's reactions betray its non-human origins.

As I navigate this bewildering reality, I am confronted with a myriad of changes unfolding within me, each more perplexing than the last. Random pop-up messages flicker and dance within the recesses of my mind, blurring the lines between reality and daydream. The startling realization that my existence is now entwined with a vulnerability akin to that of a drained electronic device leaves me with a lingering sense of unease.

My mind, once steadfast in its belief of human identity, now grapples with doubt as conflicting forces tug at my consciousness. Part of me clings desperately to the notion of humanity, while the other delves into the abyss of existential uncertainty, casting shadows of doubt upon the very core of my being.

Now's not the time to have an identity crisis. We have something way more important... My health and wellness comes last. Theses guys need me. I promise their best protection and I'll send them home. They don't belong here... And neither do I.

"Alright, let's do this," I said, feeling a surge of determination. Recognizing the need for an extra hand, I suggested heading to Tails for assistance, knowing that we would reach our destination faster if we took to the skies. Sonic, always quick on his feet, agreed with my idea, giving me a knowing wink as he took my hands in a display of camaraderie. His playful remark about my outfit made me blush slightly, appreciating his attention to detail even in the midst of a mission. "Why do you always flirt on missions?" I teased him, familiar with his penchant for light-hearted banter. His response, although cheeky, revealed our ongoing competition to outdo each other in saving one another from peril, a reflection of our unique dynamic. Despite our playful contests, beneath it all was a deep respect for each other's skills and a shared understanding that mutual support was paramount in our line of work. As we playfully vied for the chance to come to each other's rescue, a sense of friendly rivalry emerged between us, driving us to new heights of teamwork and trust. While I prided myself on my intellect, I couldn't help but acknowledge the occasional pettiness that surfaced in our interactions, a reminder that even the smartest among us had moments of playful competitiveness.

As we finally completed the task of picking up Tails, we were met with even better news: Tails had managed to locate one of the elusive Chaos Emeralds just a day prior. This discovery would undoubtedly streamline our search for the remaining emeralds and bring us closer to our ultimate goal. Now, with all of us settled comfortably on the aircraft, fastening our seat belts and bracing ourselves for yet another exciting adventure, I couldn't help but muse about the time and effort devoted to our missions. At times, it feels like a demanding, full-time job that constantly challenges us. These thoughts led me to briefly consider the possibility of an early retirement, even entertaining the notion of retiring at the young age of 15, or perhaps stretching it to 16 and a half. The sheer intensity and thrill of our escapades often conjured whimsical daydreams regarding the future.

High up in the air, as the plane soared through the clouds, we began to feel some turbulence, the shaking caused either by the storm raging above us or perhaps by some unseen force. Suddenly, the tranquility of the moment was shattered when the two-tailed fox known as Tails exclaimed, "The Chaos Emerald has detected something!" His small paws gripped tightly onto the handle of the aircraft, his focus unwavering as he skillfully guided it down, ensuring a safe descent without encountering any problems.

Sonic, ever alert and agile, scanned the horizon and spotted a mysterious, large glowing light emanating from below. The sight was captivating, drawing our attention to our destination, a place unlike any other we had seen before. It appeared as though someone had meticulously stacked layers of land on top of one another, creating a mesmerizing landscape resembling a patchwork quilt of earth and water. Patches of vibrant green grass adorned the layers, while crystal-clear streams cascaded down in a gentle, soothing trickle.

Despite the initial turbulence and the unexpected discovery, we couldn't help but feel a sense of wonder and anticipation as we descended toward this intriguing location, eager to unravel the mysteries that awaited us on this unique and captivating land.

As we stepped off the plane, eager to explore, we found ourselves immersed in a picturesque landscape, our eyes scanning every corner in search of the missing emerald. Tails, clutching the shimmering gem tightly in his hand, set off with determination, following the faint glow that led us to believe that the other precious stone was nestled somewhere close by. Entranced by the enchanting surroundings, I couldn't help but express my awe with a voice filled with wonder, likening the scene before us to a setting straight out of a beloved fairy tale. The ethereal beauty of the place captivated our senses, the mystical atmosphere weaving a sense of magic into our quest as we ventured deeper into the enchanting terrain, each step guiding us closer to unraveling the mystery that lay within this captivating realm.

However, my deep admiration for the beautiful land was momentarily interrupted when a powerful gust of wind threatened to whisk Tails away. Sonic swiftly reacted, gripping his leg tightly to prevent him from being carried off, and I instinctively followed suit to lend my support. "Gotcha! Are you okay?" Sonic inquired as he carefully lowered Tails back onto stable ground. Tails, once reassured of his safety, calmly replied that he was indeed fine, despite the momentary scare caused by the wind's forceful display of strength.

As we continued our stroll, exploring the vast expanse of land before us, our gazes locked onto an unusual patch without a blade of greenery in sight, displaying only a barren canvas of dirt to our curious eyes. Suddenly, a glimmer of vibrant green caught our attention, signaling the presence of the sought-after emerald within that desolate ground. Taking decisive action, Sonic, equipped with a handy ring, leaped gracefully into the sky before descending swiftly in his signature spin dash, delving deep into the earth. With a triumphant flourish, the ground yielded yet another precious gem, mirroring Sonic's emergence from the soil. Without hesitation, my hand darted forward, seizing the newly unearthed treasure. "Incredible work! We're making remarkable progress in our quest to recover all the emeralds," I exclaimed, affectionately tousling Tails' furry head as his tail wagged joyously in response. Completing the celebratory moment, I exchanged a hearty high-five with Sonic, reveling in our teamwork and unwavering resolve.

"I sure hope the other ones are this easy to track down." "Yeah, me too." Said Sonic and Tails. Right before we could head back a huge gust of wind had came back as well. Tails holding on to the emerald for dear life as I gripped on to the one I had. And as if that could be the worst of it, looks like Daddy dearest wanted to pay a visit also. Making himself known as he laughs mechanically. The two mobians looked at him with anger, while I just looked at him with boredom. This dude seriously needs a hobby. I'm going to put him in the worst nursing home in the world in the future.

His aircraft flies above them which makes the wind pickup speed and causes tails and me to fall over. Me gripping on to one of the emeralds but the other one slipped out of Tails his hand. Thankfully I had quickly grabbed it on to the other one. But Eggman had other plans. Extending out a robotic arm from his ship, me and him played tug of war with the emeralds. "NO!! I WON'T LET YOU TAKE THEM!" My feet dig into the earth below me. A bit of grass and dirt getting on to my boots, but that was the least of my worries.

Using up all my strength I had within my systems. I began to pull them closer towards my chest. Noticing the robotic arm struggling to hold back, however another arm extended and gripped onto my head. Sending an electric shock through my body which made me jolt back and let go of the emeralds. Making the evil doctor snatch them for himself. "DANG IT!" I yelled out in anger. Sitting myself up and slamming my fist onto the ground and anger. Tails helping me up with a glint of worry in his baby blue eyes. Sonic doing the same thing while glaring up at Robotnik.

"HE HE HE!! MY SCHEME WORKED LIKE A CHARM! YOU DID ALL THE GRUNT WORK AND I GET ALL THE GLORY! NOT TO MENTION, THE CHAOS EMERALDS!!" Taunts the doctor. Like my hardware didn't have enough hatred for him to begin with.

"Guys, he followed us here!" Tails said out just in shock. It should have been so obvious! How did I not pick up any other life forms near by? Then again my intelligence equal up to the doctor and maximum numbers. So pretty sure he used some type of debunked mechanism to close off my signal waves to identify any other life forms.... I miss it when I was the only hyper-intelligent life form here.

"I'll cya next time children! If you find a Chaos Emerald that is! Hehe!" "Hold it!" Sonic hollers out to the evil genius. Watching as he flies away in his ship. I wasn't going to allow him to leave that easily! I extend my hands grabbing on to the large aircraft. Digging my fingers into the side of the machine. Arching my back to prevent him from flying off. "Sonic! Go long!" I yelled. Sonic taking this opportunity to jump onto Eggman's machine. Eggman not taking this too lightly.

"Oh great, y'know you should be very careful sweetheart! You might loose an ARM!" He flies up higher before drills appear in the front of his aircraft. Slamming down into the Earth which made Sonic fly off and hit the ground with the side. While also making my arms slightly rip apart. Almost however, yet I could feel my wiring pull at its edge. Feeling like I was going to lose my limbs here in a few seconds. "GAHHHHH!!!!" No, I must keep hold. Feeling my body circuits repair itself every time I could feel a rip in my wiring. I wasn't going to be let down that easily not when we're this close!

"HERE!" Tails throws another ring towards Sonic. The blue Hedgehog gripping it into his palm as a bright beam of golden light shines through his fingers. It's been dashing once again. Blocking and defending himself from eggman's drills that tried to stab him. Watching as Robotnik struggled to defeat his skull once again. "HOW DARE YOU!" I still kept a grip onto the doctor so he couldn't fly away. Allowing Sonic to spin dash right into the machine making it explode on impact. That's when I had finally let go. Feeling intense relief as I watched my arms drop to the floor. My limbs could only extend to about the same length as a hose, but that was it. Retracting them as they went back to its normal length.

Eggman, and his escape machine, flies back up into the air. The two previous Chaos Emeralds however, plummeted straight into a body of water. Tails suggesting that we fish it out. I hold my hand back to prevent them from moving. "That wouldn't be a good idea ..." I warn them. As Eggman above us cackles mischievously. "You can come on out Chaos 4." Spoke the doctor. As the water creature from before emerges from the water. Looking as if it's gotten bigger the last time we have met. "What do we do now!" The yellow fox exclaims with worry.

The creature waves its arm as an invisible wave of some sort sends us flying back harshly. Me wrapping my arms around Tails to prevent him from landing such a harsh blow. "You alright Tails?" "Y/N! Stay here with Tails!" Yells out Sonic. "What ?! Are you craz-" "That's an order! Now SIT down!" He barks while getting in my face. Then spin dashing at the creature. I blink at this response. Did he just told me to sit? I felt my cheeks heat up.

Before Sonic could get close to Chaos. The powerful water creature emerges back into the water. Sonic landing on a giant lily pad before falling into the water. Not in a clear just yet, a huge tornado like water spins out of the lake. Right underneath Sonic too. Making the blue Hedgehog jump back from the attack. Safeway landing back onto a lily pad and jumping from one to another. Then kicking the creature straight back down into the water it came from then landing back right next to the both of us.

Tails cheering for his best friend. While I did the same thing. Hugging him in his courageous and bravery. Always loved that about him. Our cheering had to be cut short when I noticed something in the corner of my eye with Chaos. "It's not over yet you guys." Chaos began to slowly emerge itself back to its original form. Showing that the damage Sonic had done did absolutely nothing to harm it. Staring at us for a few seconds, trying to send another text directly to us. I grip onto Tails and shield him in case of any damage. Sonic however, spin dash straight into the creature as they now both emerge into the body of water. Panic soon filled my body as multiple pop-up screens indicate of a Million ways How Sonic could be injured or worse could be killed.

"SONIC!"

I noticed Chaos dunking Sonic over and over again as he grips on to the back of Chaos not letting him go. Almost like a dolphin and water, they keep going in and out. Eggman telling him to continue this so that Sonic could be completely washed up or worse lose oxygen and soon drown.

I noticed the wind starting to pick up speed once again. Looking at the determination inside of Sonic's eyes. Knowing that he had a plan on standby. I felt confident that he knew what he was doing, but yet I stood close just in case things went south. Once chaos jumped out of the water, Sonic let's go and lets the wind take its course and lift his body up. Allowing him to spin dash into the air, Eggman taking note of this as well and understood what the Hedgehog was planning on doing. "WATCH OUT CHAOS FOUR!" Screams the doctor. But it was too late for Sonic had been Dash straight into the mind of the creature. Causing it to deform and splash into the body of water.

"YES! WAY TO GO SONIC!" Sonic jumps down near me. Allowing me to wrap my arms around him and spin him. Giving him a kiss on the cheek and a punch in the arm. One for living and the other one for scaring the everlasting crap out of me. "That finished it off for sure!" Said Tails. Me and Sonic looking up at the dumbfounded doctor. "Well Eggman, Chaos had a meltdown." Eggman never wants to accept defeat. Told us that this was an over. As he sucks up the remaining of Chaos and fleas off. "Best round you've got a lucky break, but next time you'll get broken! I WILL HAVE MY DAUGHTER BACK! AND I WILL DESTROY YOU!" "DREAM ON EGGMAN! YOUR DAUGHTER ISN'T GOING ANYWHERE WITH YOU! SHE'S MINE NOW YOU HEAR ME!" Sonic raised his fist into the air. I blush at the words Sonic had said. Making me wonder if he meant that in literal terms or romantic terms.

However, we had more important stuff to worry about. Eggman's larger main ship had came and picked him up. As he yelled out a thanks for us for the emeralds... DANG IT! That's right we forgot about the emeralds! This day just gets better and better doesn't it...we need to get those emeralds back!

"We lost thoses Emeralds because of me...if I hadn't had dropped it, Y/N wouldn't have nearly lost her arms trying to get it. I'm really sorry ..." He looks down sadly. Making me get on my knees in front of him. "None of this is your fault! I should of held on stronger. You were brave enough to try and hold them as best as you can. Never think this is your fault." I hug him close. "Yeah Tails, forget it, we'll get those emeralds back." He places his hands on both our backs. Holding a thumbs up.

"C'mon! Let's get on the X Tornado! He couldn't have gotten that far!" I pick up the fox and ran to the plane. Sonic following along. "We are getting those emerald's back wether it's the last thing I do. I just hope Knuckles is doing already."

Flying over the city. We were right behind Eggman's tail. Sonic and Tails inside of the X tornado buckled up and grip in. While I handled things outside of the Tornado. Hanging on to one of the wings of the plane. "Stay on him, Tails. Y/N, you-" "Oh it!" Erding my own sister me inside of the mainframe of the Tornado. Adding in some updated softwares and even a few different weapon systems I downloaded. Once downloading was complete a couple missile launchers appear on the side of the front of the plane. Shooting back at Eggman's Laser shooters. Of course dodging myself so I don't get damaged. After all it's my system that's hooked up to the plane. Something happens to me I might end up damaging the plane as well. So, I must be careful.

"Guys be careful when you're closing in! We want to get close but make sure to keep an eye watch or else-" my warning sentence was cut short when my theory had came true and a much larger shooter appears right in front of us. Of course not to worried, I'm not the only genius on this plane after all, tails quickly move them out of the dead zone and began to line up one of the missile launchers I had downloaded and aimed it directly at the weapon. Shooting at it successfully as a left a huge hole in Eggman ship. "WHOO HOO! Nice shot buddy!"
