The silence was so loud. Jongho's finger scratched restlessly over the rough table surface. The penetrating looks from his parents, who were sitting opposite him, were almost unbearable.

Jongho swallowed. He hadn't intended to have this conversation with them. Especially not today. "Do you want to tell us something?" Jongho's mother asked after clearing her throat several times. Her voice didn't sound threatening, but there was still something intrusive about it, which only added to Jongho's pressure.

His fingertips were already hurting so much, pressing against the hard wood. "Not really," he mumbled as innocently as possible and hoped fervently that his parents would just leave it at that. He would never forgive Lia for what she had said. He had just been really happy in Yeosang's presence for the first time. There was no way he could explain this to his parents. Especially when everything was so new and unexplained.

"Lia said..." Jongho's mother began, but Jongho's sigh interrupted her, "I'm really tired and I have to get up early tomorrow, can we talk another time?" Jongho's mother opened her mouth slightly as if to object, but her husband put a hand on her shoulder. "Let him go. Lia often talks nonsense. Let's go to sleep."

Jongho's father smiled and Jongho knew that smile would disappear as soon as he told them the truth. As soon as he introduced Yeosang to them. And he wanted that more than anything. But not now. Not today.

Luckily for Jongho, his mother listened and he was able to escape from the kitchen. He had never disappeared so quickly in his room. His things landed next to his bed and as he slowly sat down, there was a hint of loneliness in the air.

He didn't think twice and reached for his phone. He texted Yeosang that he had arrived and when Yeosang replied a few seconds later with a heart emoji, his world seemed a little better. He was too tired to think about the next few days and the future. But he knew one thing. He didn't want to lose Yeosang at any cost.

A terrible stench woke Mingi up. With his eyes squeezed shut, he pushed himself out of the mattress he was lying on. He rubbed his eyes tiredly until he was able to open them again and recognized the outline of Wooyoung's chaotic room. He remembered yesterday afternoon and that he must have fallen asleep here at some point.

Some unidentifiable noises could be heard from the kitchen and a little later Wooyoung came around the corner. Mingi grimaced in disgust as the stench got even worse. "I made you scrambled eggs," Wooyoung grinned. His hair looked at least as bad as Mingi's and he resembled a devil more than a human being.

A plate landed on the small table in front of Mingi. There was something small and yellow on the plate. On closer inspection, you could actually see that it was scrambled eggs. The edges were completely black and the yolk was oozing out the sides in the middle. Disgusted, Mingi pushed the plate away from him. "Are you trying to kill me?" he asked offended.

Wooyoung shrugged his shoulders indifferently and dropped down next to Mingi. "I did my best," he lied and Mingi once again felt the urge to strangle him. "When do you have class today?" he asked instead and Wooyoung looked at him with disinterest. "I don't know, I'm going to skip." Mingi no longer understood his best friend. Wooyoung was usually the first to stand in front of the university and attend his music classes with passion.

Mingi took a deep breath, then straightened up. "That's enough," he said. Wooyoung, who was engrossed in his phone again, raised his eyebrows, not knowing what Mingi was talking about. "We're not going to ruin our lives because of some guys," he said, crossing his arms. Wooyoung lowered his phone. "No?" Mingi shook his head reluctantly. "No. We'll forget about them. Cut them out of our lives and start over again."

Mingi looked at Wooyoung as if asking for confirmation. Wooyoung smiled slightly but then shook his head. "Sorry Mangia but that won't work." Mingi sighed slightly and slumped his shoulders again. "Yeah, you're right." Wooyoung smirked. "I'm always right."

Mingi reached for his T-shirt that had landed on the floor last night and slipped it on. The tattoos on his chest were covered again. Then he stood up. Wooyoung looked to him. "Can I give you some advice, Mingi?" Wooyoung asked after a while as Mingi gathered his things. "Go ahead," Mingi mumbled.

"Forget about Hongjoong. It shouldn't be between you anyway or it would have happened much earlier. Besides, you wouldn't hesitate if you really liked him." Mingi looked at Wooyoung in surprise, as he hadn't thought that his tip could really be useful. "And one more thing." Wooyoung added.

"Give Yunho a chance. He's so hot." Mingi rolled his eyes. It was obvious that he would add something like this. "Or do you really want to die single?" Wooyoung laughed and Mingi couldn't help but grin himself.

"And can I give you some advice?" Wooyoung made a hand gesture that he couldn't wait. Mingi reached for his helmet. "Don't run after San anymore. He must be coming to you. You deserve better." Wooyoung's playful smile turned into a serious and grateful smile and he held up his little finger as if he had just made his promise.

Mingi said goodbye with a smile and then disappeared. As he left the building and walked to his motorcycle, he could hardly believe it himself, but Wooyoung had actually cheered him up. Maybe he should listen to his advice.

Yeosang smiled at the canvas in front of him. His painting was almost finished. But he hadn't slept half the night and now the tiredness was getting to him, especially as he had to leave for university in a few minutes.

Yeosang put away his painting materials and got dressed. He combed through his blond curls a few times and started brushing his teeth. He couldn't get yesterday out of his mind. He had never been so happy. He could hardly wait to tell Mingi and Wooyoung about everything. They probably wouldn't even believe him. He couldn't believe it himself.

Full of good mood, Yeosang looked around for his friends during the lunch break. Since he didn't discover them, he sat down alone at a table and opened the bottle he had bought.

His thoughts kept dwelling on two deep brown eyes, on brown hair that shone so smoothly and elegantly in the sun like a deeply hidden treasure. And the softest and most beautiful lips Yeosang knew. Yeosang grinned dreamily and began to eat.

~

When he had almost finished eating, he suddenly felt a person land on the bench next to him. Surprised, he looked up and froze when he recognized Jongho. He just smiled at him and pushed his tray next to Yeosang's. "Mind if I sit here?"

Yeosang smiled and didn't need a second to shake his head. He was surprised why Jongho had come here to eat. It was at least a ten-minute walk from his building. "I see you're almost finished," Jongho said, pointing to Yeosang's tray. Yeosang followed his gaze. "Yes, but I'm waiting for you," he said far too quickly.

He wasn't used to all this and didn't know how to act. Jongho noticed that Yeosang was quite nervous. His hand reached under the table for Yeosang's. Yeosang looked surprised at their fingers, which were now intertwined, then looked up again. Everything inside him was tingling as if he had sat in an ant's nest.

Jongho started to eat and Yeosang watched him as if it was the most interesting thing he had ever seen. Lost in thought, he turned his gaze away at some point and looked through the crowd. He would have loved to jump up, pull Jongho with him and show everyone that they were together.

"Hey, there's Lia," Yeosang suddenly said when he recognized her long hair in a group of girls. Yeosang heard a loud cough and was shocked to realize that Jongho had choked. He let go of his hand and quickly reached for his bottle. Then he held it out to him. "Are you okay?" he asked after Jongho had taken a sip and his red face turned paler again. Jongho nodded curtly.

"Is there something wrong with Lia?" Yeosang returned to his statement. "You didn't even tell me if you talked to her yesterday." Jongho shook his head slowly and put the bottle away again. "No, she was already asleep when I got home." Yeosang sighed. "You have to apologize to her," he said and Jongho went back to his food as if Yeosang had said something insignificant.

Yeosang plucked up his courage and nudged him. "Jongho?" Jongho finally looked at him again. "Can you please stop talking about others?" Yeosang started to smile. "Are you jealous?" Jongho nodded eagerly and his hand found Yeosang's again. "Don't worry, I'll take care of Lia and you..." Jongho stopped for a moment and looked at him lovingly. "You can focus all your attention on me."

Jongho's cheeks glistened with light as he smiled and he looked so cute that Yeosang wanted to pull him close and cuddle him forever. "Okay." he relented. As Jongho continued to eat, Yeosang gazed at him lovingly, following his every move. Jongho was all he needed in his life.

Mingi looked around the corridor, a little excited. He had spent the whole morning styling his hair and picking out a suitable outfit. Although he was still not completely satisfied, he had made up his mind what he would do now and nothing could stop him.

He stroked his styled hair one last time and adjusted his leather jacket. Then he finally spotted the person he had been looking for. As almost always, Yunho was walking through the corridor and was deep in conversation with Hongjoong.

Mingi summoned up all his courage and then walked on with firm steps. It wasn't long before Yunho and then Hongjoong noticed him and stopped. Mingi stopped in front of the two, but paid no attention to Hongjoong. Yunho looked at him questioningly, not knowing what would happen next. Mingi took a deep breath. If this went wrong, it would be the last time he did something like this.

Mingi raised the arm that had been hidden behind his back until now, then pulled out a red rose. He held it out to Yunho and smiled.

"Please go on a date with me."
