It was Monday, and Yeosang entered the university as usual to attend morning classes. Although he had no friends in those classes, he liked the early classes much better. They were not as exhausting.

Yeosang walked through the large entrance area into the hallway.
There he was suddenly stopped by another person who put his foot in his way.

Confused, Yeosang looked up and spotted a man who had to be about his age and had black and white hair."What's up?" he asked, grinning. Yeosang looked at his face and then frowned. "Is there anything I can help you with?" he asked, a little uncertainly. The man seemed to think a while and then smiled. "I'm Hongjoong, let's be friends."

Yeosang didn't know why, but Hongjoong's suggestion seemed more than strange to him. He bit his lip, not knowing what to say. Suddenly, a voice could be heard behind them. "Hongjoong, leave him alone."

They both turned around to face another man with gray hair. He stared at Hongjoong and Hongjoong smiled in a weird way. Yeosang looked from one to the other and was completely lost.

"Mingi, my old friend, long time no see, I thought you had died or something." Yeosang wanted to leave as soon as possible, but Hongjoong had other plans and put an arm around him. "Let me introduce you to my old friend Mingi?" he asked Yeosang, pointing at the other guy.

"I'm not your friend and now go find your other crazy friend and leave us alone." Hongjoong looked annoyed and stuck his tongue out. Then he finally let go of Yeosang and walked away. Yeosang looked back as he left, confused about what had just happened.

The gray-haired man named Mingi now bowed. "My name is Song Mingi, and I'm sorry that he annoyed you." Yeosang still didn't understand.
"I am Kang Yeosang." he said, bowing as well. "Hongjoong always teases other people for fun. We were friends in high school until he lost his mind during the summer holidays and went completely nuts." Yeosang nodded not knowing what Mingi meant with that. But Hongjoong really seemed crazy somehow.

Mingi gave him a smile.

"I've never seen you before, what major are you studying?" he asked. "Fine of Arts.", Yeosang answered. Mingi nodded. "I'm studying music composition." This time Yeosang looked surprised. He didn't think Mingi would study that. There was silence between them for a short while. "Anyway, I have to go now because my class will start soon," Yeosang said. "Okay, I should go now too."

Yeosang wanted to turn around and leave quickly, but Mingi held him by the arm. "I'll have lunch with my friend at the cafeteria later, you can join us if you want."

Yeosang didn't really know if that was a good idea, but he didn't want to say no either. "Okay, see you later then," he said quickly. "See you then.", Mingi replied and left with a smile. Yeosang was still unsure, but Mingi seemed really nice. He looked at his phone and then started walking quickly. He would really be late if he didn't hurry now.

~

It was almost 2 p.m. when Yeosang entered the cafeteria. His gaze wandered through the crowd. There were so many faces he didn't know.

Suddenly, he spotted gray hair and a smiling boy waving at him. Yeosang smiled and walked in his direction. "Sit down!" Mingi called him, tapping the bench next to him. Yeosang sat down and placed his tray on the table. He looked across the table and spotted another boy he didn't know. He had blond and brown hair and smiled brightly.

"This is Wooyoung, my best friend," Mingi explained. Yeosang nodded and smiled at him. "And this is Yeosang," Mingi said in Wooyoung's direction.
"I told him to eat with us," he added. "Nice to meet you, are you new here too?" Wooyoung asked and Yeosang nodded. Wooyoung stuffed more food into his mouth.

"I'm happy to eat with you, I'm really tired of having only Mingi as my friend." Mingi looked offended and Wooyoung laughed. "Just kidding." he grinned and pinched his cheek. Yeosang smiled. They seemed to be really close. He hoped that he didn't bother them.

~

Lunch passed quickly and the three went outside. While Mingi and Wooyoung were engrossed in their conversation, Yeosang walked behind them and looked around. The nature around the university was breathtaking. Not far from them were a small lake and some trees. Yeosang loved these places.

Suddenly, Wooyoung and Mingi stopped and Yeosang bumped into them. "Sorry," he said, giving them a questioning look as to why they stopped. He looked past them across the large meadow and saw two boys standing next to a tree. One of them looked familiar to Yeosang, and when he looked closer, he recognized the two different hair colors and Hongjoong's small face. Next to Hongjoong was a taller boy with brown hair.

Yeosang looked over at Mingi and Wooyoung. "What's wrong?" Mingi shook his head. "Nothing. Actually, Hongjoong and I were close until he dumped me for that other guy there. His name is Yunho and he's just as crazy as Hongjoong."

Wooyoung sighed.
"What do you think they're planning now?" he asked in Mingi's direction. "Planning?" Yeosang asked. "They're always playing pranks on us. It's totally annoying," Wooyoung explained. "If you hang out with us, you'll be their target too," Mingi added. Yeosang didn't know what that meant. Pranks? What kind of grown man played pranks on others? That was totally childish.

Mingi saw Yeosang's questioning look. "You'll see what we mean." Now Yeosang was a little afraid of what they meant.

Wooyoung put an arm around Yeosang. "Anyway, enough about them. Do you have a girlfriend?" Yeosang was taken aback by the sudden question. He cleared his throat. "Why does it matter?" he asked. Wooyoung grinned. "Well, we're both gay and single. I just want to know if you can join our singles club."

Now Mingi pinched Wooyoung's waist. "What singles club are you even talking about? And I never said I was gay," Mingi said in a huff. Wooyoung rolled his eyes. "I mean, it's obvious that you're gay or you wouldn't look at Hongjoong like that." Now Mingi rolled his eyes.

"I've told you a hundred times that I don't like him and stop trying to make me gay so you won't be alone anymore." Wooyoung let go of Yeosang. "I'm just trying to help you to accept it, that's all." he said, also offended, and walked away with quick steps. Mingi sighed in annoyance.

Yeosang just stood there perplexed. Then he turned to Mingi.
"I'm sorry that I made you two argue with each other." Mingi shook his head. "It's not your fault. Lately, Wooyoung and I have been fighting a lot. I don't know why. I thought we would stop when you would join us because you seem so nice. But Wooyoung is just getting on my nerves these days."

Yeosang didn't know what to say. "Maybe you guys should talk when you both calmed down." Mingi shrugged his shoulders. "I can't talk to him, he never listens to me or blames me for everything." Yeosang still didn't know how to react. In his eyes, both of them seemed really nice.

"Anyway, I'm sorry for getting you into our mess. Maybe you should meet up with your other friends." Yeosang smiled mischievously. What other friends?

"No, it's fine," was all he said, smiling. Mingi nodded and then looked at his phone. "We should go now. Class will start soon," he said and started to leave. Yeosang noticed how upset Mingi seemed. He followed him and hoped that everything would be fine between them soon.

~

It was afternoon and Yeosang had finished all his classes. Although the university was really exhausting, he was more than happy to be there doing what he always wanted to do.

Yeosang just left the classroom and looked around the hallway. The sun was already setting, bathing the hallway in a golden light. Yeosang stood there in amazement until someone bumped into him and Yeosang stumbled forward.

Yeosang looked up and caught sight of a girl who looked completely surprised. "Omg, I'm so sorry." she stuttered and bowed a hundred times. Behind her, two girls appeared who seemed to be her friends. "It's okay, no big deal," Yeosang just said, not understanding why they were making such a big deal out of it. The girl apologized again and Yeosang assured her one more time that it was okay, then he walked away.

The girl stood there with a sad expression on her face. "He didn't even look at me," she sighed, turning to her friends. They shrugged their shoulders. "I told you it was a bad idea, just talk to him instead of doing this," one of her friends said. She sighed. "But he's so handsome, I think I'll faint if I talk to him for a long time," she complained, making a fainting pose. Her friends looked at each other and shook their heads, not knowing what to say.

~

Yeosang walked out of the building into the garden where he was with Wooyoung and Mingi before. He breathed in the cool air and enjoyed the sunshine. Even though he still felt out of place, it was really getting better and today was a great day.

Yeosang started walking towards his dormitory. On the way there, he saw a familiar face. "Mingi!" he called out, surprised at himself. Normally, he wouldn't even dare to speak, let alone call out to someone.

Mingi turned around and smiled when he saw Yeosang. "Hey, how was your afternoon?" Mingi asked immediately when Yeosang stopped in front of him. "It was great, my class was super fun today too. What about you?" Yeosang asked. Mingi started to smile. "It was good too, I made up with Wooyoung." Now Yeosang's face brightened as well. "Really?" Mingi nodded.

"Yes, he apologized and we talked for a while and I hope we have solved our problems now," he explained. "That's good to hear," Yeosang said euphorically. "By the way, shall we exchange numbers?"

Yeosang was surprised by Mingi's question, but didn't hesitate and pulled out his phone. They exchanged numbers and Yeosang wanted to leave, but Mingi held him by the arm. "How about we meet tomorrow morning after my first class?" he asked. Yeosang thought for a while.

"Well, I don't have morning classes tomorrow." You could immediately see Mingi's disappointment on his face. "But I can pick you up after your class and we'll go eat somewhere,"
Yeosang therefore suggested and Mingi started to smile again.

"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow then.", he said happily, waving to Yeosang and then saying goodbye. Yeosang looked in his direction until he couldn't see him anymore. He was more than glad that he had met him today. He didn't feel uncomfortable around him and Mingi seemed like a really nice guy.

~

Exhausted but happy, Yeosang flopped down on his bed and stared at the ceiling. So many things had happened today that he needed to comprehend.

After a few minutes of lying down, he got up again to get ready for bed. As he did so, his eyes caught on something lying on his table. He walked up to the table and picked up the scarf.

Previous memories of him and Jongho walking through the night streets of Seoul came to his mind. He couldn't help but smile.

After standing there staring at the scarf for what seemed like an eternity, he finally put it back. He wondered if he would ever see Jongho again, and since he hadn't asked his major, he didn't even know where to look for him. And if he did find him, what should he tell him about why he was looking for him. Out of curiosity? Or because he kind of liked him and couldn't forget that night? Everything would sound strange.

Yeosang shook his head and knowing he could never make the first move and talk to him again, he decided to forget about it. With a sigh and tired eyes, Yeosang went to the bathroom to brush his teeth..

~

In the morning, Yeosang woke up by his alarm clock and turned it off. With a tired yawn, he got up and looked for something to wear. Although it was not that early, he felt as if he had been run over by a truck. His neck hurt and his muscles ached. Who would have thought that university would be so exhausting.

Tired, Yeosang left the dormitory building and made his way to the music buildings. He waited on a bench in front of a building in a small garden. He checked his messages and sighed when he saw that the freshmen had a new meeting planned for the weekend. Why did they have to get wasted so often?

"Yeosang?" a voice was heard from behind the bench. He looked around, and then his heart skipped a beat.

Jongho was standing behind the bench on the way to the building. Yeosang immediately stood up and cleared his throat. "Um hey." he stuttered, inwardly hoping he didn't come across as awkward.

Everything had been dark the other night and he hadn't been able to see Jongho's face properly, but now that he could see it clearly, he was getting kind of nervous. Jongho's features were so perfect that Yeosang got goosebumps.

"What are you doing here?" Jongho asked, giving Yeosang a small smile. Yeosang's heart melted. Jongho hadn't forgotten him and even remembered his name.

"I'm waiting for my friend, and you?", Yeosang asked. Jongho pointed to the building. "I study here," he grinned. Yeosang made a puzzled expression. "You study music too?" he asked, completely suprised. "Yes. I study vocal and singing performance, to be exact." Yeosang's eyes widened even more. "You can sing?"

Jongho was about to say something when someone called his name. Jongho looked toward the entrance. "I'm sorry, but I have to go now. I'll see you soon. Bye!" he said quickly and started running. Yeosang followed him with his eyes. There was a small group of people waiting in front of the building. When Jongho arrived, they finally went into the building.

"Hey Yeosang."
Another time Yeosang turned around. Mingi greeted him. "How do you know him?", Mingi asked, pointing in the direction Jongho was walking. "You know him?", Yeosang asked. Mingi nodded and laughed.

"Jongho is the most famous senior student in the university. Everyone wants to be with him or be like him. He is so talented and always nice. I've never seen him be rude to anyone. So how do you know him? He's practically unattainable."

Yeosang was shocked.
