"I love the part where I almost bled to death." Yelena said as I looked down see them go down the hole and I sat back. "This is cozy." Yelena comments looking around the vent, "Barton and the both of us spent two days hiding out up here." Nat said still looking down as I scoffed.

"Yeah, I remember almost murdering him before some crybaby stopped me." I said glaring at Nat as she glared at me. "That must have been fun." Yelena said smiling at me as I chuckled, "It was but they both always seemed to bring it up over the years." I said shaking my head.

"Who the hell is that guy?" Nat asked ignoring our conversation as I looked at Yelena, "Dreykov's special project." Yelena began as I frowned at the words. "He can mimic anyone he's ever seen, it's like fighting a mirror." She said as I groaned sitting on my butt whilst looking at Natasha.

Nat rubs her face in frustration, "Dreykov only deploys him for top-priority missions." Yelena explained as I messed with my braid. "This doesn't make any sense." Nat said shaking her head as I looked away from them. "Well, the truth rarely makes sense when you omit key details." Yelena said looking at us both as I looked up at her.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Nat questioned her as I glanced at them two, "You two didn't say one word about Dreykov's daughter." She said glancing between us as I sighed. "You guys killed her." She said nodding and clarifying it as I nodded

"We had to." I said looking at her and regretting what we had done in the past. "We needed her to lead us to Dreykov." Nat said as I looked down at the vent around us seeing a train stop and people get on.

Young Larissa and Natasha sitting in the passenger and drivers seat. They both spot a familiar car they've been following around for hours. "We need confirmation Dreykov's in the building." Clint says through the comms in their ears.

The two young women keep their eyes on the car that is stopping in front of the building. "His car is pulling up now." Larissa spoke with a accent heavier than Natasha's. They spot a man walk towards the car and open it.

A little girl in a school uniform with a small red backpack getting out and walking through the door. Larissa glared at the window as the same little girl who happens to be his daughter shows up.

"Dreykov's daughter was collateral damage." Nat explained looking at Yelena distraught and I rubbing my head. "I needed her to be sure." I said shaking my head at Yelena as I saw the look in her eyes causing me to look away from her.

Larissa glared through the car window looking up at the window, "Natasha, Larissa, we clear?" Clint asked us as Larissa saw Natasha hesitate on answering, causing Larissa to scoff at her. "All clear." Larissa says loudly whilst looking at Natasha then at the explosion from the bombs that were set inside the building.

"And here you two are, not so sure." Yelena said as I sighed messing with my boot laces. "We needed out." Nat said glancing at our younger sister than away from her. We climbed out of the vent and immediately walked out of the train station.

We walked down the road, I glanced at Yelena, "You should take off the jacket." I said pointing towards the jacket and she took it off then I made sure the cloth was secured over the wound.

She smiled at me as I did back at her and continued to walk until we turned a corner spotting a gasoline station. We walked towards it then walking in, "The Red Room's still active. Where is it?" Nat asked as I looked around for somethings we needed.

"I have no idea." Yelena answered her looking at something and I followed after Yelena. "He moves location constantly." She said looking at some first aid items. "And every widow is sedated on entry and exit for maximum security." Yelena explained as she grabbed some item.

I looked at some mugs that were cute, "I'm just finding it hard to believe that he could stay off our radar." Natasha said walking through the walkway and I turn to look at them. "Well, it's not smart to attack an Avenger especially two, if you want to stay hidden." Yelena said as I nodded pointing towards her.

"I mean, the clue is in the name." She said obviously as she glanced at us. "Dreykov kills you two, one of the big ones comes to avenge you guys." She said moving her hands around, "Wait, what are the big ones?" I asked shaking my head at her.

"Well, I doubt the god from space has to take an ibuprofen after a fight." She said shrugging as I kept my gaze on her but smiled a bit. "Where did you two think I was all this time?" She asked us as I looked down at mug I grabbed and up at her.

"I thought that you got out and were living a normal life." Natasha said as my heart squeezed in pain, knowing that she was suffering whilst we partied and kicked ass during those years. Nat passed by us as I turned around to place the mug down, "And you just never made contact again?" She said shaking her head at them.

"Honestly, I thought you didn't wanna see us." Nat said washing her hands as I looked down at my hands. Yelena scoffed at Nat, "Bullshit." She said walking away from us as I smiled. "You two just didn't want your baby sister to tag along, whilst you saved the world with the cool kids." She said making me look at her and walk towards her.

"You guys aren't really my sisters." Nat said making me clench my jaw as I looked away from her. "And the Avengers aren't really your family." Yelena said as I grabbed some chips and setting it down on the counter.

"Why do you guys always do that thing?" Yelena asked us out of the blue and I looked at her confused. "Do what?" Nat asked from beside me as the cashier paid not attention to us whatsoever. "The thing you guys do when you're fighting." She said as I nodded my head for her to clarify.

"The..." She began moving her head back as I tilted my head in confusion, "Like, the..." She said looking down at the ground and up at us. "This thing that you guys do when you whip your hair when you're fighting with the arm and the hair." She said ground down and putting her right leg out then putting her arm out and flipping her head back and forth.

I clapped, laughing at her as I understood what she was saying. "And you do, like, a fighting pose." Yelena said laughing at us as I glanced at Nat seeing her look at us. I immediately shut my mouth, "It's a..." She said laughing staying in the same position.

"It's a fighting pose. You're a total poser." Yelena said nodding and pointing towards us as I shook my head, "I'm not a poser." I said shaking my head at her, whilst she laughs at us making me smile.

"Oh, come on. I mean, they're great poses, but it does look like you think everyone's looking at you, like, all the time." She said standing up and nodding towards us.

"All that time that I spent posing, I was trying to actually do something good to make up for all the pain and suffering that we caused." Nat explained paying for the items and looking at us as I scoffed at her. "Trying to be more than just a trained killer." She finished whilst I looked at Yelena then at her and sighed.

"Well, then you were fooling yourself because pain and suffering is every day and we are all still trained killers." I said shaking my head at Nat as Yelena passed me an item and I placed it on the counter.

"Except I'm not the one that's on the cover of a magazine." Yelena said glancing at us as I looked at her confused, "I'm not the killer that little girls call their hero." She said walking out and I pointed at her.

"Hey! Take that back I was never on a magazine!" I shouted walking after her as I walked beside. It soon got dark as we sat at some tables outside of a small restaurant. I sat beside Nat and she came back with three bottles placing one in front of Yelena, I looked at Yelena who groaned whilst pouring some alcohol on her wound.

I looked to the side seeing a man mess with a car. "That gas." Yelena began as I looked at her, "The counteragent, it was synthesized in secret by an older widow from Melina's generation." Yelena began to explain, hearing the name of our dead mother and looked down at the vials in my lap that sat inside the backpack.

"I was on the mission to retrieve it, and she exposed me and I killed the widow that freed me." She said carefully whilst looking down and up at us with regret and sadness in her eyes. "Did you have a choice?" Natasha asked her.

"What you two experienced was psychological conditioning." She said glancing at both of us as I sighed looking at us, "I'm talking about chemically altering brain functions." Yelena said shaking her head, looking at us.

"They're two completely different things." Yelena said as I fiddled with my fingers, "You're fully conscious, but you don't know which part is you." I said looking up at them as they looked at me. "I'm still not sure." Yelena said shaking her head as she smiled at us weakly.

I breathed in shakily as I got up from my seat and set down the bag. I walked towards Yelena as she kept her gaze on me. I squatted down to her arm, taking off the clothes that kept it from bleeding, "Is that all there is left?" Nat asked nodding towards the bag as I nodded towards Yelena.

"Mmm-hmm." She agreed and I grabbed a alcohol wipe and squeezed it together, "It's the only thing that can stop Dreykov and his network of widows." She said loudly turning to look at me, I ignored her and blew on the wound.

"He takes more every day." Yelena said shaking her head and looked at Nat, who watched us. I began to clean the wound, blood free and grabbed some tweezers, "Children who don't have anyone to protect them." Yelena said looking at the little kids who were playing futbol.

"Just like us when we were small." She said looking at me as I looked at her frowning. "Maybe one in 20 survives the training, becomes a widow." She said looking away as I took out a piece of glass. "The rest, he kills." She said as I looked away remembering all those girls being shot down by the Winter Soldier and I.

"To him, we are just things." She said angrily as Nat looked at her, I grabbed the gauze from the packet and placed them carefully on her wound. "Weapons with no face that he can just throw away." She continued as I breathed in sharply.

"Because there is always more, and no one's even looking for him, thanks to you two and Alexei." She said shaking her head whilst looking at Nat and I placed more gauze on the wound. "Alexei?" Nat asked as Yelena chuckled dryly as I grimaced at the very man I despised and betrayed us.

"'Dad.'" I said dryly as I saw the man place the keys in the green cabinet but top shelf. I wrapped the gauze a couple times before cutting it and patted down gently. "There, kiss it better." I said placing a kiss on the bandage as Yelena smiled at me as I smiled back.

I set the scissors down and sat back down beside Nat and looked to the side spotting a little boy run towards his father. The father picks up his son and smiled, "Did you guys ever look for your parents? Your real ones?" Yelena asked as I sighed as the lights turned off. "Well, my mom abandoned me in the street like garbage." Nat said cocking an eyebrow as Yelena looked at me, nodding.

"My mom threw me at the arms of HYDRA and the RED ROOM with no hesitation." I said smiling tightly at her as I looked at Yelena, "What about you?" Nat asked taking a drink from the bottle as I messed with mine.

"They destroyed my birth certificate, so I reinvented it." She said placing the bottle against her nose. "My parents still live in Ohio." She began as I smiled at her, wanting to laugh. "My sister moved out west, while my other sister moved out east." She said gesturing towards us as I smiled looking away.

"Is that right?" We said simultaneously looking at Yelena, "You're a science teacher and you're a Professor at NYU." She said as I chuckled softly. "You're working part-time, though, especially after you had your son." She said pointing at Nat and looks at me.

"While, you're on maternal leave because you're going to give birth to twins." She said pointing at me as I nodded smiling at her. "Your husband, he renovates houses and Larissa, your husband, he is a CEO of a company." She said making me laugh at her creativeness.

"That is not our story." Nat says looking away making Yelena laugh softly, "What is your story?" She asked us as I sighed looking down. "I never let myself be alone long enough to think about it." Nat said shaking her head as I messed with my rings.

She gestured towards her best and I passed it to her, "Did you guys ever wish for kids?" Yelena asked us and I smiled looking up at her. "Um, it was a thought but I think I want a beautiful white cat." I said smiling at her.

"I want a dog." Yelena said putting in her vest and smiling at us then looked away. "Where you gonna go?" Natasha asked her as I looked up at Yelena, "I don't know." She said quietly whilst looking down.

"I don't really have anywhere to go back to, so I guess anywhere." She said glancing at us as I smiled at her. Natasha leaned forward and I drank from my bottle as Yelena shook her head. "Don't." I looked at her confused as she glanced at us.
