"stop trying to drunk text anyone! give me your phone," heeseung reached for sunghoon's phone and snatched it in his hand.

it's only been two hours since they walked inside this bar, yet sunghoon is already wasted. he can't even handle his liquor, idiot.

"i'll just message him— once, please." the guy pleads, his head resting on the table.

"listen to me hoon, you'll regret it first thing in the morning. so no, just no." heeseung puts the phone into his pocket.

he drank the vodka on his glass, emptying it without hesitation. why am i even babysitting this guy? he shouldn't even drink because he's supposed to drive them after this, but now he's stressed. great.

thirty minutes after, the two are still on their table, drinking. however, the loud music is not enough to drown sunghoon's thoughts.

"oh? what a coincidence, look who's here." heeseung grunted. even if he's got a throbbing headache right now, he still can recognize that voice.

"can we join you guys?"

he looked up, and as expected, he saw geonu's mischievous grin.

if headache is a person, it would be him. definitely.

"see? i told you it's not crowded in here." geonu held jake's arm and pulled him inside the bar.

jake looked around, trying to familiarize the place. it looks decent, but he doesn't like the flickering lights and loud music. still, it's not bad.

"stop judging the place will you? support their business," jake rolled his eyes at geonu's statement.

his friend stops walking. "that's a bummer, i don't see anyone that i know." geonu checked further, looking at the tables.

"i'm sure he's here though, was i mistaken?" jake got confused when he heard him.

"what? what do you mean by that?"

geonu shrugged. "it's nothing. i was just trying my luck—oh would you look at that, i am indeed lucky." he laughed.

jake got more confused. is he already drunk or what?

his crazy friend started walking and he had no choice but to follow. they're heading towards the table with two guys already sitting there. hold up.

geonu you cunning shit.

"jake? you're also here?" heeseung looked like he didn't expect them to show up at this place.

he nodded. "geonu kind of forced me though." he chuckled.

heeseung smiled and told them to sit. jake sat, glancing at sunghoon who's still drinking. he looks like he has a lot of problems. scratch that— more like a sunoo problem.

"so," geonu spoke. "why are you here? i thought geniuses don't do things like this."

heeseung smirked. "hmm. i can do both."

"really huh? so are you an expert at drinking too?"

jake was just casually listening to them while sipping on his drink. he's also curious on how heeseung will handle his evil friend.

"obviously." heeseung responded.

jake gasped a little when he felt sunghoon went closer to him.

"he's not good at drinking. at all." the guy whispered to him.

yep. he is drunk. after that, sunghoon went to rest his head on the table again.

geonu grinned. "that's good! how about this, whoever drinks the most without getting drunk, will be granted by the loser anything that he wants."

heeseung raised an eyebrow. "no thanks, i don't wanna play your stupid games."

"aw, why? you're scared aren't you? because you know you'll lose." jake shook his head. geonu really knows how to piss someone off.

"i never lose, baby."

"let's play then."

heeseung tilted his head to the side. "fine."

"geonu, this is all your fault. why would you even get heeseung drunk?" jake grunted as he went to help sunghoon walk towards the exit of the bar.

"no. i'm okay, i can walk." he let go of sunghoon and let him walk alone. walk? the fuck, he's almost crawling at this rate.

"in my defense, he was the one who said he drinks well." geonu made heeseung sit on the side of the lamp post.

he just sighed. how do i get them to their homes?

"negative b plus and minus square root of b squared minus four ac all over two."

jake and geonu looked at each other when they heard heeseung.

"i'm sorry, what the fuck did he just say?" geonu looked concerned.

jake tried his best not to laugh. "he recited the quadratic formula."

geonu almost threw up. "oh gods, this is my karma." he cursed when he saw his mother calling on his phone.

"crap. i forgot they'd be visiting me tomorrow, i still haven't cleaned my dorm." geonu panicked.

he stared at him. "you can go first. i'll take care of this two."

"are you sure?"

jake gave him a thumbs up. "thanks bestie. stay safe okay? and send me a message if you got home already. bye!" geonu waved goodbye as he rode the cab.

now i'm left alone with these wasted people.

"i'm still fine." jake got startled when heeseung suddenly stood up. "i just need some water."

"are you sure? i can give you guys a ride."

heeseung smiled and shook his head. "thanks jake, but it's really fine. i can still drive. just wake up sunghoon and tell him to give me his keys." he walked back inside the bar.

jake agreed. he went closer to sunghoon, who is sleeping soundly inside his car. he really looks like a prince when he sleeps. he opened the door of his car and sat beside him.

he tried to shake his shoulder to wake him up, but sunghoon didn't budge.

"sunghoon? hey, wake up." jake was relieved when the guy finally opened his eyes.

but he got awkward when sunghoon just stared at him. it feels like he's staring right into my soul.

"sunghoon? are you okay? is there something wr—"

what the hell.

jake felt like the world stopped spinning when sunghoon wrapped his arm around his waist and pulled him closer, sealing his lips with his own.

shock would be an understatement. jake's heart was beating too loud that he thought it would explode in any second.

he still hasn't processed what just happened when sunghoon finally lets him go, his head resting on his shoulder.

what the fuck did just happen?

three seconds. it was just three seconds yet it felt like forever.
