MORE TO LOVE

     You were dating the sweetest, most caring guy you have yet to know. Ben was smart and he was great at showing you what love was, writing poetry or giving you small, but meaningful gifts. He was the true definition of a gentleman and showed you how a guy should treat their significant other. Though, there was one thing that bothered him, and you didn't really see it as an issue.

     At first, Ben thought nothing of it. But with Bowers and his gang constantly taunting him, the boy became insecure of his weight. Unfortunately, that also meant he was insecure around you. You told him many times that you liked him the way he was, but Ben wouldn't have it. He just felt he wasn't good enough for you.

     You leaned against his side, both of you sitting on a park bench, and you had an arm wrapped around his waist. Ben was obviously sucking in his gut to the best of his ability. With a simple poke from your finger, he gave out with a sigh. "Stop that, please." You say softly, hugging him tighter and meeting his eyes.

     "I just, I figured you would like it better if you could wrap your arms around me without... all of this." He looked down to his figure sadly. "There's too much of me."

     "There's more to love, then." You disagree. Your words catch him off guard. Never had you admitted to loving him, so this was new. A deep blush ran over his adorable features, and flustered he became.

     "You– You, uh, love me?" His eyes were hopeful, though a glint in them told you a bigger story behind it. Like he had been hurt like that before, and his next words only proved it. "Do you mean that, Y/N?"

     Without hesitation, you nod. "Of course, Ben! You make it hard to not love you. You're amazing in each and every way. And I'm glad you're mine, I wouldn't want it otherwise."

     If his face could have gotten any redder– it would have. He meets your eyes with a goofy grin, "I love you, too."
