EVERYONE SAYS THAT HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS — AND IT'S TRUE. Even though we must leave from time to time in order to pursue our dreams, fulfill our destiny, and reach our full potential. Home will always be the one true place in which our heart remains. A house is a structure that provides shelter for those who live within its sturdy walls, but it's those people, the memories, and the unconditional love, that makes it a home. Without those things — without a steadily beating heart within its chambered body — a house will never be anything but a skeleton. It will never be a home. Leaving home is one of the hardest things in life — it may not seem like it, but leaving everyone you love and care for and embarking on a journey into something you've only ever dreamed of is daunting. You're not complete when you leave home; your heart is always left behind, serving a memory of your presence to those who stayed, and providing hope of your safe return from whatever adventures lay ahead of you.

Elisa had a great time on her tour in London, spending most of her free time with her uncle, aunt, and cousin. She made lots of great memories and she loves them, but she knew that it was time to head on home where her heart was with the rest of her family. She had promised to text or call her uncle when she reached the airport to let him know that she arrived safety and soon, she would be home and she couldn't wait to see the ones she loved.

The stuffiness and confinement of the plane was testing her patience as the excitement raced through her veins at the thought of home. Elisa felt like the plane's been flying for hours as she leaned back against her seat, her patience running through while her excitement continued to grow. Every time she closed her eyes, she'd see them: her parents, Emma, Luke, Denise, Paul, Frankie, and of course, her three best friends, Kevin, Joe, and Nick. She missed them so much and she couldn't wait to see them again.

The plane then skimmed the runway like an albatross gliding elegantly with its talons hovering just above the seas, searching for fish to prey on, before the wheels finally made firm contact with the tarmac with a small jolt, giving off a sharp squeal. The voice of the captain was then overridden by the overhead speakers.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we have arrived at our destination. We ask you to keep your seat belts fastened until the seatbelt sign has been switched off. I'd like to thank you for flying with us and we hope you had a pleasurable flight."

Home. She was home. As the plane reached its designated gate, Elisa pulled her bag from under her seat and onto her lap, digging inside for her phone. She pulled it out and turned the airplane mode off on her phone since they weren't in the air as she sent a quick text message to her uncle, letting him that she arrived safety. It wasn't long until the plane came to a shuddering halt and the seatbelt signs flickered until they vanished as Elisa quickly took off her seatbelt while passengers leapt out of their seats, scrambling to retrieve their carry-on luggage from the overhead compartments.

Elisa sighed and frowned as she leaned her head against the seat, watching the passengers hurried to grab their carry-on luggage as she waited for the crowd to go down. Once the crowd of passengers had thinned, Elisa leapt up from her seat, grabbing her carry-on luggage and tossing it onto her shoulders as she quickly exited the airplane, excited to be home again. After she grabbed her suitcase, she was ready to go till she noticed that the press was outside — no doubt that they must've heard about her touring in London and of her returning today somehow.

She sighed as she looked around to see if she could find another way out till she noticed a girl around her age staring at her with a big smile and excitement in her eyes, most likely a fan. She quickly mentioned for the fan not to scream and blow her cover before she mentioned for the fan to follow her. Immediately, the fan followed without questioning and did her best not to squeal, not wanting to blow the cover of her favorite singer and role model.

"Is it really you??? Are you really Elisa Evans???" The fan asked excitedly, smiling so big.

Elisa nodded and that made the fan smiled even more.

"Oh, my gosh! I can't believe I'm really meeting you. I'm a huge fan of yours," the girl said before she suddenly got shy and nervous. "Um, if it's okay with you, could I get your autograph?"

Elisa nodded and took out a piece of paper and a pen, signing it before she gave it to the girl, who smiled big and took it.

"Before you go, do you think you could help me out with something?" Elisa asked, smiling.

"Sure, what is it?" The girl asked.

Elisa smiled and whispered it to the girl. The girl nodded and she watched as the girl followed along with the plan, heading outside and told the press that she was heading out the back door. Immediately, Elisa watched as the press scurried off and heading towards the back — giving her time to meet up with her family to head on home before the press realizes that there is no back. The fan headed back inside and gave Elisa a thumbs up — as she nodded and mouthed 'thank you' to her as the fan hurried along to her family while Elisa grabbed her stuff and went outside.

The minute she stepped outside though, she was pulled into a bone-crushing hug — she didn't need to look to know exactly who it was.

She giggled as she smiled big, barely feeling herself from inside the bone-crushing hug. "Yeah, I missed you boys too." She said.

And just like that, Elisa was back home where her heart was. She was back home where she belonged and where her family — people that she loved and cared about were with her. And she wasn't planning on leaving without them anytime soon.

It had been a few weeks after Elisa came back home from her tour in London. Thanks to her uncle recording the show for them, they were able to watch it. The four of them decided to stop out and go hang out. Unknown to their parents, the seventeen-year-old Kevin did have a few drinks before twenty-one. So, when they entered the place to hang out and came across a old classmate of theirs from middle school, Shawn Adams, but Joe couldn't help but feel alarm bells go off in his head whenever he saw Shawn flirting — at least, trying to — with Elisa and he didn't like it one bit; the alarm bells in his head sounded even more when he was the only one that seemed to notice Shawn offering her a drink after putting something in it. With his suspicious growing and the alarm bells going off in his head, he lost sight of Shawn and Elisa as he frowned, going off to find them.

Elisa didn't seem to notice but her steps were a little more... unsteady than usual. She felt Shawn's hands rest on her hips and help balance her.

"I mean, I know every girl liked me when we went to middle school together, but I'm curious. Did you?" He asked.

"At first, yeah, but I guess I got over it after the third day." Elisa hummed, nearly tripping but she quickly balanced herself on the wall with Shawn's help.

She felt her knees shaking and her eyelids getting heavy. She felt his hand slide onto her knee and slowly start to touch her body. She weakly tried to push him away, but she couldn't and her eyelids continued to get heavy. This would've lasted longer if Joe didn't find them in time and shove Shawn off of her then brought her shaking body into his arms careful.

Shawn scoffed and glared, opening his mouth to say something but quickly closed it when he heard footsteps. Knowing that he wouldn't even last if it was three against one, he left out the back door and then, Kevin and Nick finally found the two after looking for them.

"What happened?" Nick asked, eyeing his best friend whose entire body was shaking with concern in his eyes.

"Shawn spiked her drink," Joe said, not needing to go into the detail about what happened as he held his shaking little sister in his arms gently. "He went out the back door before you guys came,"

"I'm gonna kill him."

Ignoring his brothers calling after him, Kevin stormed out the back door after Shawn. Knowing that one of them had to go help him, Nick gently pulled his best friend into his arms and glanced at his brother. "Go help Kevin, I'll stay with her." He told him.

"You two stay safe," Joe said as he hurried off to help his brother.

Elisa's body continued to shake as Nick helped her to sit on a couch before sitting next to each other and gently pulled her in for a hug, his arms wrapped around her shoulders while she rested her head on his chest. Her whole body shuddered and her legs kept shaking as images flashed in her mind.

"N-N-Nicky?" She whispered softly, her entire body shaking even more as if she was having a seizure.

"Sh, I'm here, Eli." Nick whispered, holding his best friend in his arms and close to him. "I'm here, Eli, I'm here."

Knowing that it was him and listening to his soft and gentle voice, she felt her eyelids close as she drifted off to sleep, her body shaking while she remained in one of her best friend's arms.

Shawn's hands slide onto her knee and slowly start to touch her body. She weakly tried to push him away but she couldn't and her eyelids continued to get heavy.

She started shaking in her sleep.

"Eli, wake up."

She felt his hands slowly start to touch her body. She tried to push him away but failed to do so.

"Eli, wake up. It's us, he's not here."

Then she woke up.

She blinked, trying to recall what happened. She didn't remember going to bed at all. The last thing she remembered was listening to Nick's voice before she drifted off to sleep after... that's when everything started to set in as images flashed in her head about what happened. She didn't realize that she was still shaking as she felt arms wrapped around her gently for a hug.

"Sh, it's okay, Eli. We're here, you're safe." She heard Nick whispered softly.

She remained still in Nick's arms, her body still trembling with fear. The nightmare was still haunting her mind and she felt like she was about to collapse. Slowly, she felt Kevin and Joe careful join the hug by wrapping their arms around her and she remained still, not daring to move a muscle as flashes continued to haunt her mind.

"It's okay for you to let it out, Eli. We're here," she heard Joe tell her.

She barely felt herself shake her head no, her mind wouldn't stopped haunting her with the flashes of what happened.

"Eli, we know you don't want to, but you have too. It's not good for you to keep it in," she heard Kevin said.

Again, she shook her head no as she felt herself collapsed into Nick's chest and squeezed her eyes shut. The images kept haunting her, not once leaving her alone. With her green eyes squeezed shut, she felt something wet slide down her face, now realizing that she couldn't hold her tears back anymore. She felt all three of the boys hug her and softly whisper comforting words to her as she quietly cried to herself.

Elisa ended up crying herself to sleep with her head resting on Nick's chest and after a while of keeping her still, they laid her back in her warm bed and gently wiped the tears from her cheeks.

"Don't go," Elisa whispered in a raspy yet begging voice, still fast asleep.

Knowing that she was gonna need them in case she happened to have another nightmare, the three of them careful got in the bed next to her, pulling the blanket over them. Each one of them wrapped their arms around her protectively and slowly drifted off to sleep, holding Elisa in their arms to let her know that she was safe in their arms.

But neither one of them knew that in America, the four of them were blowing up with people loving their songs.
