The scene changes to Jipuragi Law Firm's office. Mr. Hong was talking to someone on the phone.
"Yes. I am telling you the truth. We have hope now. Yes. Just trust me. Sure."
Vincenzo enters the office with his brother whose expressions were calm and composed. They sat on the seats in front of Mr. Nam and Vincenzo gives him a 'What is going on?' look.
Judging her father's look, she knew that her father had received some good news.
"I have no idea what is going on with him," Mr. Nam replies and Vincenzo sits on the chair while Vittorio stands beside him. "But he is in a good mood all of a sudden."
Mr. Hong guessed what that news might be.
"All of a sudden?" Vincenzo asks.
"Yes" Mr. Nam says nodding his head.
"I will call you again tomorrow night. Okay" Mr. Hong says as he hangs up the call. "Mr. Cassano, Mr. Park did you have lunch yet?" Mr. Hong asks Vincenzo and Vittorio.
Now, the rest of them were also curious in knowing what made Mr. Hong so excited.
"Not yet" Vittorio answers.
"Order them something" Mr. Hong says to Nam.
"Shall I?" Mr. Nam says and goes to order some food.
"How about we order tangsuyuk and some drinks?" Mr. Hong says to Mr. Nam.
At this point, Mr. Nam was also surprised.
"Do you mean that? That's a first!" Mr. Nam says.
"Of course" Mr. Hong replied.
"Hold on," Cha-young enters the office in a very bad mood. She slams her bag on the table and puts her hand in the pockets.
Vincenzo rolls his eyes knowing that know he will have to say goodbye to the free meal.
"You and I need to talk, Mr. Hong Yu-Chan" Cha-young says.
All of them knew Cha-young was pissed off very badly because of what happened earlier.
"She said 'Mr. Hong Yu-chan' It's a red alert so, I will evacuate" Mr. Nam says and leaves. He also signals Vincenzo and Vittorio to come outside.
"I can understand that you don't want to help me. Then, at least don't ruin my future" Cha-young says.
Mr. Hong scoffed at this and Cha-young looked down.
"When did I ruin your future?" Mr. Hong asks. Mr. Nam opens one of the windows and signals Vincenzo and Vittorio to come outside. Vincenzo nods and they start to leave.
"Right. You got what you deserved. You are a man of conscience" Cha-young says. As Vincenzo was leaving Mr. Hong blocks his way. Vincenzo and Vittorio try to go from the other direction but Vincenzo hurts his foot in process.
Some of them chuckled at this.
"It is not about being different. It is about what is right and what is wrong" Mr. Hong says. Cha-young screams and Vincenzo and Vittorio flinched. Mr. Nam also closes the window he opened.
Even though the father and daughter were fighting but the scene was getting funnier.
"As I always have, I will say some hurtful things" Cha-young says and Mr. Hong and Cha-young look at each other. "If you lived a righteous life, why did you let mom die like that? You were so busy taking care of others, you let her die alone on the table" Cha-young says.
All the laughter died down at this moment. Mr. Hong looked hurt and Cha-young felt guilty.
"I told you to stop bringing it up" Mr. Hong says.
"No. I will bring this up, as long as I am alive. The fact that you made my and mom's life miserable," Cha-young says.
"I am sorry dad, I didn't mean any of this," Cha-young apologizes.
Mr. Hong pats his daughter's back and says, "It's ok. I know you don't mean it."
Mr. Hong shouts when Vincenzo and Vittorio were trying to leave.
"Get out!" Vincenzo gets startled once again hitting his leg to the desk. Vittorio was also suffering but was having a great time seeing his brother like this.
The atmosphere in the theatre also got awkward.
"Do you even feel guilty when I bring her up?" Cha-young asks her dad. "You would jump into fire to save others, but why did you neglect her like that?"
"I don't want to hear it. Leave" Mr. Hong says.
"You can save thousands of people from injustice. But you will never be forgiven for letting her die like that" Cha-young says and leaves. Vincenzo also tries to go but stumbles upon the desk.
Some of them felt sympathy for Cassano brothers getting stuck in the middle of a family fight.
"I am sorry," Vittorio and Vincenzo apologized.
"It is okay," Mr. Hong says. "Sorry about that. You both saw the ugly side of my family."
"You don't need to apologize, Mr. Hong," Vittorio says.
"No, we are sorry," Vincenzo says he rubs his leg.
"It is okay," Mr. Hong replies.
The scene changes. Cha-young was sipping her drink.
"Damn it. How can he not apologize?" She says. Vincenzo also comes there and spots Cha-young. Vincenzo walks ahead and enters the shop. It starts raining. Vincenzo gets a packaged drinking water bottle and sees Cha-young eating and the rain outside. He buys the drink, comes out of the store and keeps the bottle on Cha-young's table.
Vittorio looks towards his brother on-screen, knowing that he has slowly started caring about Cha-young.
"What is it?" Cha-young asks.
"Couldn't you have been more mature?" Vincenzo says.
"What?" Cha-young asks again shocked.
"Earlier, you did not sound like a hotshot lawyer, but a spoiled brat, like the girl in the photos," Vincenzo says.
People knew that the elder Cassano said the truth even Cha-young knew this.
"Don't play dirty. Why bring up my humiliating past?" Cha-young asks.
"All the criticisms children gave their parents will come back as regrets," Vincenzo says. Cha-young leans back on her chair and then, cleans her hands.
Some of them realized that Vincenzo was not only talking about Cha-young only but himself as well.
"Don't do something you will regret. Regret is the most painful thing in life " Vincenzo says and Cha-young thinks.
"He and I will drink at his regular spot. Come if you want to. You don't have to apologize. You can just join us" Vincenzo says and leaves.
"Gosh. 'Apologize'? As if," Cha-young mutters as she keeps her head on her hand.
Cha-young got a bad feeling that she will be regretting it.
The scene changes to Myung-hee's house. She was eating. She picks up her phone and calls 'crystal ball'.
"Hey. You can start now. No. Both of them" Myung-hee says.
Vittorio's expression turned dark as he realized what Myung-hee was planning to do.
Cha-young, on the other hand, grabs Myung-hee by her neck and shouts at her.
"You bitch, what were you planning to do?"
Myung-hee chuckles and replies, "I don't know, that's my future self, but I have a feeling that whatever I am going to do, it will be great."
Cha-young was about to hit her but Mr. Hong holds her back and says, "Don't waste your energy on her. Besides, nothing has happened, it's all in the future and we can change it."
Cha-young calms down and sits back on her seat.
The scene changes to 'NAMDO AUNTIE'S RESTAURANT' Vincenzo and Mr. Hong were sitting there inside.
"It's a shame your brother isn't here to join us," Mr. Hong says.
"He is a busy person, he got some important work up his sleeve," Vincenzo replied.
"I would stay strong but days like this get to me. I mean, when these jerks torture my girl. No matter how much I scold her, she is my precious little girl. How dare they? She will get through it," Mr. Hong says and Vincenzo pours the drink for him.
Cha-young smiles at this but the constant bad feeling in her heart hasn't died down.
"Ms. Hong is strong," Vincenzo says.
"Aren't you and your brother truly the strong ones?" Mr. Hong asks. Vincenzo keeps the bottle aside and answers.
"We are not that strong or good, for that matter."
"Look at you lying," Mr. Hong says.
"Weak people don't go to their mom's trial, if they were abandoned," Mr. Hong says.
All of them agreed at this statement.
"Mr. Hong is right," One of the tenant said.
"We only went to see how miserable she was," Vincenzo says.
"Really?" Cha-young asks and Vincenzo avoids her gaze. "You are mafia but you don't even know how to lie," She continues.
"Do you mean that?" Mr. Hong asks.
"Yes," Vincenzo answers. "Don't give Ms. Hong a reason to check how miserable you are" Vincenzo says to Mr. Hong.
"You are telling me to stop fighting Babel because I will be miserable," Mr. Hong says and Vincenzo continues eating the food. "I will keep fighting them. And I have more power to fight."
"And that power will put you in more danger, won't it?" Vincenzo asks. "I don't like you are the only one exposed to all those risks. I want you to take the coward's way out this time."
Cha-young also agreed with Vincenzo this time.
"For me, running away isn't coward's way out. It is putting other people in danger. Okay?" Mr. Hong says.
Every one expected Mr. Hong giving an answer like this. What else can you expect from a selfless and righteous lawyer.
