"And then she was like 'I couldn't help it, I'm a gemini'." Aimi rolled her eyes, bringing her martini glass up to her mouth to take a sip.

"You've gotta be kidding me..." Aiya scrunched up her face in disgust, Y/n unconsciously doing the same as the two friends shared the same thought.

"I wish we were." Himara scoffed. "She's sooo annoying~" She cried out, clutching her best friend's arm who was too disturbed to pay attention to it.

"And then she had the audacity to post that picture and caption it 'no caption needed'." Aimi scoffed, Y/n and Aiya glancing into each other's direction.

"Like girl-" Himara quickly emptied her mouth, grasping Y/n's arm before continuing. "You definitely got some explaining to do-"

"-NOOOOO~" Aiya gasped, Y/n's jaw hitting the floor in disbelief before murmuring to herself.

"Oh my gosh..."

The four friends were having dinner at this new place in town.

It was crazy expensive and booked full for at least another three months, as everyone had made reservations from the moment the restaurant opened up.

Luckily, Himara's dad was able to pull some strings for his beloved daughter and her friends.

"I like it here..." Y/n sighed in content, her eyes scanning the interior of the restaurant and taking in the scenery.

"Right?!" Aiya agreed, quickly swallowing her drink before pulling out her phone. "The lighting here is sooo good as well, let me take a picture of you two." She shoo-ed Himara towards Y/n, who sat next to each other and across from her.

"I'm not photogenic..." Himara mumbled as she leaned against Y/n, laying her head on her shoulder.

"Shut up." Y/n rolled her eyes, turning her head slightly to the side and allowing the light to illuminate her side profile before bringing up her martini glass.

"Cuteee~" Aimi cheesed at the sight of the two best friends, Y/n not being able to stop a grin from gracing her lips.

"Say 'blinggg~'." Aiya smirked, her eyes glued to the screen of her phone as she waited for the right moment to take a picture. "I wanna see your teeth!"

"Blinggg~" Y/n and Himara said in unison, wide, teeth-showing smiles displayed on their faces.

"Yes..." Aiya mumbled, taking more and more pictures as Y/n and Himara posed some more, the flash of Aiya's phone blinding them momentarily.

"Do you have enough now?" Himara spoke under her breath, Y/n laughing at her friend.

"They turned out amazing!" Aimi gasped as she peered over her cousin's shoulder who busily scrolled through the recent pictures in her camera roll.

Aiya pretended not to notice, her ego skyrocketing. "Told you I was good at taking pics." She shrugged nonchalantly before turning her phone, Himara and Y/n leaning forward to look at the pictures she took.

"Damn..." Himara nodded her head in approval, swiping to the next picture.

"These are post-worthy." Y/n clicked her tongue in amusement. "Send me those."

"Done deal." Aiya smirked.

"So..." Aran trailed off, pursing his lips as the room was completely silent.

"Yea..." Atsumu sighed, staring at the ceiling as he laid on his bed.

The boys were splattered around Atsumu's room, sighing and yawning as they all felt the same.

Bored...

"I'm starving~" Yลซto groaned, Ren humming in agreement.

"Alright let's order something." Aran sighed, lifting his hips to skillfully pull his phone out of the pocket of his jeans.

"Like what?" Osamu ran a hand through his hair, his eyes averting to his twin brother as he opened his mouth to speak up.

"Pizza?-"

"-AGAIN?!" Everyone questioned and cried out in union, Atsumu letting out an awkward chuckle as he rubbed the back of his neck.

"Does anyone have a better idea then?" He scoffed before folding his arms over each other and pouting as he turned his head away.

...

The room fell silent again, the team avoiding eye-contact with each other as they pressed their lips into thin lines.

This was starting to get awkward...

"I wonder what the girls are doing..." Michinari mumbled, his eyes widening when Atsumu jumped up from his bed and walked up to him.

"Don't you ever say those words out loud again- matter of fact, don't even think them!" He raised his voice. "We are having fun!"

"Are we?" Aran looked at his friend from across the room.

"You know who I haven't heard much from?" Atsumu mumbled, ripping his eyes away from Aran. "Rin..." He answered.

"What?" Rintarล finally looked up from his phone, confused as to why his name was suddenly being called.

He had zoned out a while ago. Truth was, he was bored at the Miya's, and all he could think about was how good Y/n looked...

She always looked good, don't get him wrong. It was just something about her getting all cute and dressed up before going out with her girl friends.

adorable...

He couldn't help but wonder about how her evening was going.

Was she having fun?

Probably. No one dared to say it, but the girls were most definitely having more fun than they were.

Rin's eyes averted to Atsumu's window.

The temperature was cooling down, a chilly breeze setting in.

Y/n wore something short sleeved with exposed legs. Rintarล remembered her showing him her outfit before hanging up the phone.

Did she bring a jacket? If not she could catch a cold, which would be bad, because she'd-

He was rambling, getting caught up in his own thoughts too much.

Rin sighed to himself, rubbing the back of his neck before opening instagram.

He barely used the app, usually only to open Atsumu's dm, who had sent him a streak of dumb and unfunny reels videos.

Though he was happy that he did open the application at that moment.

Y/n had posted...

Rintarล's eyes widened and he sat up straight and took in the sight, his eyes glued to the screen of his phone.

Y/n smiled brightly, her eyes slightly squinted as she looked into the camera. Her head was slightly turned and tilted to the side, allowing pink huey-lights to compliment her features perfectly.

She looked perfect...

"That's because he's staring at Y/n's post..." Osamu teased, his voice low in volume as he playfully pushed his friend's shoulder.

Rintarล's eyes widened. "Uh-"

Aran perked up, his eyebrows furrowing together as he glanced into Rin's direction before he opened up instagram himself.

Atsumu walked over to Rin, peering at the screen of his phone from over his shoulder.

"Ohhh~" Atsumu smirked, sharing a look with Aran who noticed as well.

Rin was confused until he realized.

Himara...

To be completely honest, he hadn't even noticed her in the picture. But he was glad that she was, otherwise Osamu might've started something by accident.

A sigh of relief escaped Rintaro's lips as he felt like he could breathe again, slouching down in his beanbag.

"What's up with Y/n's post?"

"Yea, what'd she do?"

Everyone in the room started taking out their phones. Everyone except for Kita.

Rin swallowed thickly as he remembered the night of Aran's sleepover. Remembered it as if it was yesterday.

'You're playing a dangerous game Rintarล...'

Rin quickly ripped his eyes off of Shinsuke, who gave him a subtle, but knowing look.

He wasn't afraid of Kita telling the others about his crush- his actual crush.

Shinsuke was the team's captain for a reason, Rin knew he could keep a secret.

Who couldn't keep a secret was-

"-It's not about what Y/n did..." Atsumu joked, the hairs on Rintarล's body beginning to stand up straight.

Rintarล turned his head, looking up at Atsumu, who hadn't noticed Rin's gaze.

You gotta be kidding...

"What's that supposed to mean?" Osamu asked, also turning his head to look at his brother, Atsumu finally looking down.

Shit...

Atsumu's gaze drifted from Osamu's to Rin's, his eyes widening at what he just said.

He accidentally slipped, the words rolling off his tongue before his brain could process it.

He was so stupid. Aran had warned him about keeping his mouth shut, yet he made a comment about Rin's crush on Himara.

He was such a bad friend...

Rin poked the inside of his cheek with his tongue, turning his head away and glancing into Aran's direction.

Aran sucked in a deep breath, averting his attention to Atsumu who looked at him for help.

"He was talking about the comments..." Aran quickly made up, ripping his eyes away from Atsumu before rolling them.

"No wayyy~" Michinari gasped, Yutล's eyes widening as he watched from over his shoulder.

Aran glanced at Atsumu and Rin before nodding his head knowingly, opening the comments under his sister's post himself right after.

Atsumu grinned, unaware that he and Rintarล were sharing the same thought.

'Aran, you're amazing...'

He let out a sigh, relieved that no one noticed his slip up.

Almost no one...

Osamu's eyes darted back and forth between his brother, Aran and Rintarล, noticing their interaction.

He knew they were hiding something, but decided to leave it as is for now, as it probably wasn't the right place nor time to ask further.

"Who's that?" Atsumu asked from over Rin's shoulder, referring to a certain someone who had commented under Y/n's post.

"#needthat..." Osamu read the comment out loud, his eyebrows shooting up before he turned his head towards his friend Aran.

Aran's eyes widened, everyone in the room quieting down as well. His thumb started moving on its own and clicking on the profile of the person who had left that comment under his sister's post.

"Yลซji_Terushima..."

Rintarล's eyebrows furrowed together as the name sounded familiar.

Where had he heard that name...

"Wait-" Yลซto spoke, everyone looking up from their phones as he continued. "Isn't that guy Johzenji High's captain?" He asked, others around him humming in agreement.

"You're right!" Ren agreed. "Didn't we play against them in our last practice match?"

He was right, they had played against him...

Rintarล shuddered as he remembered.

Terushima was way too energetic, and childish too. He didn't take anything serious and didn't put much thought into volleyball. He probably didn't even-

He was rambling again. Besides, why did he care so much?

He commented under Y/n's post, so what?

"How does he know Y/n?" Atsumu couldn't help but snort as he pulled out his own phone, searching up Terushima's profile so he could stalk it himself.

"Maybe they're talking..." Yลซto hummed, Michinari putting his finger to his chin in thought.

"I don't know, and I don't care." Aran clicked his tongue, shrugging his shoulders before slouching down in his seat.

"Reallyyy~" Atsumu teased, Aran glaring at him.

"Really." Aran confirmed. "I don't care who she dates, as long as it isn't someone from our school."

Rin's eyebrows furrowed together, his mouth slightly opening up as if he wanted to say something.

"Why?" Kita asked, noticing the face his friend had unconsciously made.

"Why?" Aran repeated the question, scoffing before sitting back up again. "Because it'd be weird. I don't wanna see the guy my twin sister is messing with walking around the halls and the cafetaria everyday."

"What if you knew him?" Shinsuke asked. "Would that make you feel better?"

"That's even worse." Aran answered, stunned by the question itself. "Disgusting isn't even the right word for that..." He shuddered at the thought.

Aran's eyebrows furrowed together before he turned his head towards his captain. "Why are you asking?"

Kita stayed quiet.

"You better not tell me if you have a crush on my sister, cause I will beat the shit out of you..." Aran chuckled, shaking his head in amusement before averting his attention back to his phone.

"I don't have a crush on your sister..." Shinsuke assured him.

"I'm still gonna have to keep a closer eye on you from now on." Aran joked, the others joining as a small smile emerged on Kita's lips.

Everyone joining in except for Rintarล, an unsettling feeling setting into his lower stomach...

Aran would beat me up...

"You want the bill?"

"Yes please." Himara smiled before reaching into her purse, grabbing her wallet.

"Coming right up!" The waiter nodded firmly, his cheeks tinting a shade of pink before he walked off.

Aiya, Aima and Y/n shared a look, grinning at each other before Y/n nudged Himara, who was still too engaged in finding her card.

"What?" She asked absentmindedly, finally looking up from her lap.

Y/n rolled her eyes, Aiya speaking up not too long after.

"Say, Hima-chan~" She chirped in a high-pitched voice, Aima and Y/n giggling like the teenage girls they were.

"Yes~" Himara fluttered her eyelashes, leaning her head in the palm of her hand on the table.

"What'd ya think of that boy?"

Himara's eyebrows furrowed together. "You mean the waiter?"

"Hmmm..." Aiya hummed, mimicking her friend's actions by leaning her head in the palm of her hand as well.

"I think that he's doing his job well?" Himara answered, her voice unsure.

Aima and Y/n shared another look before Aimi spoke up.

"Aaaand?~" She dragged out, giddily rubbing her hands over her thighs.

"And?" Himara tilted her head to the side, a puzzled expression on her face. "He was nice?"

Aiya facepalmed herself, Y/n letting out an awkward chuckle.

"Well, except for his- behavior..." Y/n paused mid sentence, trying to find the right words. "What'd you think of his appearance?" She offered her friend a smile.

"Yea-" Aimi butted in, her nails digging into her skin. "Don't you think he's cute?" She grinned.

"Uh-" Himara put her finger to her chin as she thought. "I didn't really look at his face..."

Everyone's eyes widened, Aiya's jaw dropped even.

"HOW did you not notice his face?" She spoke through gritted teeth, keeping her volume down as they were receiving weird stares from other tables.

"His face looks like it has been carved out by the angels~" She cried out, gripping her hair in despair.

"Careful-" Y/n rolled her eyes in a playful manner. "Atsumu's not gonna like that..." She grinned, knowing she'd nor the others would ever tell him.

"I don't care!" Aiya whisper yelled, Aimi sucking in a deep breath before taking a slow sip from her drink out of embarrassment.

"What I care about is you being so oblivious."

"I-"

"-That boy clearly finds you attractive, he's been checking you out all night! How could you not notice~" Aiya pouted.

Himara sighed, shrugging her shoulders before slouching back down in her seat again.

"Sometimes you got me thinking that you're into girls..." Aiya moped before folding her arms over each other and turning her head away.

"I might as well be, with the guys at our school as options~" Himara teased with a smirk on her face before sticking out her tongue at Aiya, absolutely pissing her off.

Y/n snorted, quickly looking away as Aiya shot a warning look into her direction.

"We cannot all be boy crazy like you~" Aimi joined in as well.

Aiya gasped, her hand covering her mouth as Y/n and Himara snorted at her reaction.

"I'm not boy crazy!" She quickly defended. "I can't help it that boys go crazy over me-"

"-Alrighttt." Y/n chuckled, Aima shaking her head as she scrolled through her phone.

"Hmmm." She hummed. "Who's Yลซji Terushima?" She asked, her question directed at Y/n.

"Some guy I tutored..." Y/n's eyebrows furrowed together at the mention of the familiar name. "Why?"

"He commented under your post..." Aimi shrugged, Y/n pulling out her phone to see for herself.

"#needthat..." Himara read from beside Y/n off of her phone.

"Damn..." Aiya mumbled. "I know who's not gonna like that~" She scoffed before taking a sip from her drink.

"What do you mean?" Aimi asked, her brows furrowing at her cousin.

Aiya's eyes widened before she choked on her drink, not sure if it was because of the shock or because Y/n had kicked her from under the table.

"I meant Aran." She quickly lied. "You know how he gets hahaha..." She awkwardly chuckled.

"Well-" Aimi dismissed her cousin, not thinking anything of it. "This guy's kinda cute~ You like him?" She asked, turning her phone for the others to see.

"He's loud and unserious." Y/n shook her head no. "Totally not my type." She firmly answered.

"What is your type, Y/n?" Aiya grinned, Y/n glaring into her direction as she didn't want to answer that question.

"Yea." Aimi turned off her phone before leaning closer, curious to Y/n's answer. "What is your type?"

"I don't have a type-"

"-Ugh~" Aimi groaned, rolling her eyes. "Yes you do~. Just tell us, we're your friends..." She pouted.

"Yes Y/n, we're your friends~" Aiya smirked, Y/n wanting to rip her face right off.

Y/n sighed as he thought.

What was her type...

"I guess guys who not every girl can get a conversation out of..." She shrugged, Aimi and Himara humming along.

...

"And I like it when they're quietโ€“ but not to me though, they need to be able to hold a conversation with me. And he needs to be obsessed with me. If he's not madly in love with me it's not gonna work-"

Y/n was rambling, getting caught up in her own thoughts too much. She didn't even notice the grin that was emerging on Aiya's lips.

She was describing
