A/n - Was the last chapter too cringe? I might rewrite it if you guys didn't like it, lol. Be honest please.

I'm also thinking about renaming this book to "I'll Kill You" and changing the picture since it isn't accurate, so keep an eye out for that!

"We should follow the path they took, then," Gwi-nam replied.

~~~ 19 ~~~
"Alright. I'll tell the others. Come with me if you want," I said.
"You already know my answer," Gwi-nam replied.
"Stay here, see if I care. We'll be leaving without you," I taunted.
He clicked his tongue and followed me as I walked across the roof to say hi the other three.
"Hey!" I yelled once I was within earshot of them.
Gwi-nam winced. I gave him an apologetic look.
Mi-jin stood up first while Ha-ri was gathering the archery equipment. Min-jae was still trying to sleep. "Hey," Mi-jin said back. She looked at Gwi-nam. "Is your neck okay?"
"Yeah, it don't hurt too bad anymore," he responded.
"Did you hear the broadcast over the speakers or were you guys still waking up?" I asked.
"We heard it. I think you two are actually making a dent in this zombie apocalypse," she said, smirking.
"I doubt it. Plus, you three are all amazing. If anything, you guys are the ones who did most of the work," I told them.
"You're too humble," Gwi-nam said, lightly hitting my arm.
"Yeah, you kinda are." Mi-jin looked at me.
"Oh please, if it weren't for your zombie kebobs, we couldn't have killed half of them."
I stopped talking at looked at Ha-ri to tell us what to do next.
She lightly kicked Min-jae. "Get up."
"So, you think we should go or not, Ha-ri?" I asked.
"We go. My brother could be there," she responded.
"Ohhh right! I forgot about that," Mi-jin chimed in.
"Well, let's eat first. Some of this food won't last and it's been a minute since any of you have eaten," I announced.
Min-jae finally got up. "I think that's a good idea."
"No. The people in the broadcasting room have gone longer. We can wait a couple hours," Ha-ri replied.
"We have enough for everyone. It's fine. We can eat a little, it won't hurt," I said. "Are you okay with that, Gwi-nam?"
"I don't care," Gwi-nam said.
"Also, we can get food from the music room closet. The donations." This seemed to actually convince them to eat, even if just a little.
I ran back to the other side of the roof.
Gwi-nam stayed with the others, but didn't talk to them.
I grabbed my backpack and Gwi-nam's knife, then headed back to where the others were.
I handed Gwi-nam his knife first. "Here."
"Mm. Thanks," he replied.
I took my backpack off and set it on the ground.
There were a bunch of tin foil wrapped sandwiches in the bag. Enough to last a month for one person, so I just handed each person one, including myself.
"Eugh. It's not warm," Mi-jin complained.
Ha-ri sighed.
"Who eats sandwiches warm??" Min-jae asked her.
"I do!" she replied.
I laughed. "To be honest, they aren't bad when they're a little warm."
"Yo. Can I have a water?" Gwi-nam asked.
"Yeah, here," I said, handing him the water he drank from earlier. "Anyone else?"
"Yeah, sure," Ha-ri said.
A few minutes passed. As we ate our breakfast, we had some small conversations. It was nice.
And soon, we could reunite with other living students.
Most of me was happy, but a small part of me wanted to live up here for the rest of our lives.
"We leavin' or what?" Gwi-nam suddenly asked.
"Let's go," Ha-ri said, putting her arrow holder on and grabbing her bow.
Min-jae did the same, and put his arrow holder around his neck and grabbed his bow.
I zipped my backpack up after putting everyone's water in separate pockets so that they didn't get mixed up. I then put my backpack on and grabbed my knife from where it was sitting.
Gwi-nam was looking around the rooftop for one last time. "Hey, let's find useful things," he announced, but mainly to me.
"Right. Okay," I said.
I followed him as we all split into two different groups to find anything we could use.
Gwi-nam suddenly stopped walking. "You're too humble," he spoke.
I wasn't really sure how to respond, so I just didn't. What was I even supposed to say??
Ha-ri seemed annoyed at wasting more time on something like this, but I honestly thought it couldn't hurt.
I stopped to look around every now and then, but I couldn't find anything. I was mainly looking for something better for Mi-jin to use.
I was worried that the wood would snap from being blood-soaked for so long.
Gwi-nam once again stopped, but this time for a useful reason.
He bent down and picked up what looked to be a construction saw.
"The hell's this doin here?" he asked.
I walked over to his side. "Maybe one of the classes were using it for drama or crafts?"
"Well, whatever it is, it's better than the stick Mi-jin has. She'll get killed if she keeps using that."
"You literally read my mind. I'll go give it to her."
With that, he handed me the saw while he continued to look for stuff.
I walked over to Mi-jin, who I thought was with the other two, but she wasn't. I guess she had left the archers to be alone for a minute.
"Yo," I said, getting her attention.
She turned around.
"Woahh... That's sick. Where'd you find it?" she asked me.
"Actually, Gwi-nam found it." I turned and pointed to him, then turned back around. "Here, take it. It's all yours."
"Really? I'm fine catching them all on a stick for y'all to kill."
"That's not why we're giving it to you. I'm worried the stick will eventually break. You saw how easy it was to break to make it sharp in the first place, back in the bathroom."
"Good point," she said, taking the saw. "Thank you so much! And tell Gwi-nam I said thank you, too."
"Alright, I will."
I didn't think I needed to tell Gwi-nam since he could probably hear our entire conversation anyways.
I walked back to join him, but he was already with the archers. I joined them all instead.
Mi-jin was playing around with the saw, so she didn't notice.
"Are we ready yet?" Ha-ri said impatiently.
"I'm ready. You?" Min-jae said, looking at me.
"Hm? Yeah, I'm ready." I turned around and yelled, "Mi-jin!! Come here, we're ready to go."
She heard me and started walking to us.
I realized that I had yelled, and Gwi-nam was covering one of his ears with his hand.
Ha-ri noticed something was wrong.
"Are you okay?" she asked.
"I'm... fine." he replied.
Ha-ri thought for a moment, suddenly connecting the dots. "Did you... turn?" she asked him.
~~~ End ~~~
