Jk enters his room and closes the door behind him, grateful for a moment of privacy. He takes a deep breath, trying to calm the storm of emotions brewing inside him. He sits down on the edge of his bed, his mind racing with thoughts and questions about Halsey's return.
Jk runs his hands through his hair, feeling frustrated and powerless. He feels a pang of anger as he asks himself the question.
Jk: "What is she up to?! Why did she come back now, after the divorce?!"
He doesn't trust her, after everything that happened between them.
Halsey: Look...
Jk's eyes widen in surprise as he looks up to see Halsey standing in the doorway, holding a glass of water. His expression turns guarded, and he crosses his arms over his chest. He silently waits for her to speak. He feels a pang of annoyance at her casual demeanor but forces himself to remain calm.
Jk: "You're here for a reason. Tell me what you want."
Halsey: I realised my mistake please accept me again-
Jk: (His jaw clenches) "You seriously expect me to just accept you back after everything you did?! After you cheated on me and wrecked our marriage?! wow!"
(He stands up, his frustration evident in his tone.)
Jk: "You just can't waltz back in here as if nothing happened and expect me to forgive you. I spent months trying to move on, trying to put my life back together after you destroyed our marriage. And now you just show up, asking me to take you back?!
Jk: (his gaze unwavering) "You can't just apologize and expect me to forget everything. You broke my trust, you betrayed me. Why should I give you a second chance?!"
Halsey: because I realised that I love you jungkook!-
Jk: "You say you love me now, but where was that love when you were cheating on me?!! When you ruined our marriage?!"
Jk turns away from her, unable to look at her. He feels the weight of the pain and hurt from the past years.
Jk: "Love doesn't just magically fix everything. You betrayed me, and it's not that easy to forget and forgive." (He takes a deep breath, trying to steady himself.) "How can I trust you again? Trust is the foundation of any relationship, and you shattered it. How do I know you won't break my heart again..."
Halsey: I will do whatever to gain your trust kook... (She placed hand on his chest)
Jk: "It's not that simple, Halsey... Trust isn't something you can just win back easily!" (He created a bit of distance between them) You have no idea how much you hurt me, how long it took me to pick up the pieces and move on. What makes you think I'm willing to go through that pain again?! What makes you think I want to give you another chance?!
(She looks him with sad eyes) Don't do that, don't look at me like that. You can't just make everything okay by looking at me sadly."
Halsey: You know Mom needs me? (He feels irritation at her words but manages to keep his expression composed.)
Jk: "Yeah, I know Mom needs you!
He crosses his arms, his voice laced with a hint of bitterness.
Jk: "But that doesn't mean I have to like it. Just because Mom wants you here doesn't mean I have no say in it. ( his expression unwavering.) we're divorced. And I don't want you here, plain and simple. If you don't leave willingly, I'll have no problem throwing you out myself."
Halsey: Jungkook please give me chance! I know you can baby! you love me!
Jk: (chuckle humorlessly) "You don't get it, do you?!! It's not about whether I still love you or not. Im not though! It's about the trust, the betrayal. You think you can just come back and everything will be the same as before?!! (He looks at her, his gaze hard.)
Jk: "You destroyed us, you destroyed my trust, My heart! and you're asking for another chance?! Why should I give you another opportunity to hurt me?!!"
Jk shakes his head, his frustration mounting.
Jk: "You act like I'm being unreasonable, but you're the one who messed up. You're the one who cheated on me, who broke our marriage. And now you expect me to welcome you back with OPEN ARMS?!!"
Halsey: OK! DONT! but why you haven't tell mom that we are not together still pretending married front of whole world why?!! (His expression darkens.)
Jk: "You think I want to keep up this facade?! But you know what happens when I tell her?!
His voice becomes more strained as he continues.
Jk: "She'll be devastated. She'll blame herself, thinking she could have done something to prevent it, and it will break her heart. I can't do that to her, not when she's been through so much already."
Jk runs a hand through his hair, visibly frustrated.
Jk: "You know how much she values family and marriage. Telling her we're divorced will destroy her. So until I figure out a way to break the news gently, I have to keep up this charade to protect her feelings."
He takes a deep breath, trying to steady himself. He steps forward, his gaze fixed on her.
Jk: "This isn't about us anymore. We're divorced, remember? You gave up the right to have a say in my decisions when you cheated on me. So don't you dare guilt-trip me for keeping up this charade. You're the one who put me in this situation in the first place."
Jk's words hang in the air, the tension palpable between them.
Jk: "It's not easy, you know. Pretending everything is fine when it's not, pretending we're still together when we're not. It's exhausting, and it kills me every day. But I do it for her, for mom. Not for you!"
He averts his eyes, breaking the intense gaze.
Jk: "So don't you dare sit there and act like I'm the one causing you pain. You did this. You threw away our marriage, our future, for someone else. And now you want me to feel sorry for you?!"
"I'm tired, Halsey. I'm tired of pretending, tired of lying, tired of trying to protect everyone's feelings when no one seems to care about mine!"
He leans against the wall, running a hand through his hair.
Jk: "You act like I owe you something, like you're entitled to my forgiveness. But the truth is, I don't owe you anything. You're the one who threw away Everything! Just leave this area before I lose my cool.
Halsey: (mumbling) "Fine. I'll go... for now!
As she leaves, his shoulders visibly relaxing as the door closes behind her. Jk sits down on the bed, still trying to process everything that has just happened. The adrenaline from their confrontation starts to subside, and he feels a wave of weariness creeping in.
Jk repeats the words under his breath, almost like a mantra.
Jk: "She's gone for forever..."
He lets out a sigh, trying to convince himself that she won't come back. But deep down, he knows that he can't let his guard down.
He lies back on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. His mind keeps replaying the conversation, and he can't shake off the feeling of unease.
He closes his eyes, hoping that sleep will bring some respite, but his mind is too wirea to relax. He tries to focus on his breathing, taking deep, slow breaths, but the thoughts keep coming, swirling in his head like a tempest.
Suddenly jolts upright as the memory of the kalawa pops into his mind. It stands out vividly in the chaos of his thoughts.
Jk: (muttered) "The kalawa..."
He holds the kalawa in his hand, feeling its weight and texture. He's not a big believer in superstitions, but the memory of you giving it to him makes him more open to the idea.
Jk: "It's supposed to be a protection. I don't normally believe in these things, but..."
He slips the kalawa onto his wrist. and sits there for a moment, feeling a sense of calmness wash over him as the kalawa encircles his wrist. He isn't sure if it's just a placebo effect or if there's something more to it, but he feels a small sense of reassurance.
Jk looks at the kalawa on his wrist as he speaks. There's a hint of determination in his eyes.
Jk: "It might not be much, but it's a reminder that you're with me, somehow My lotus.
He gently touches the kalawa with his lips, a gesture of affection and appreciation then leans back on the bed, feeling a mix of emotions. The weariness that had taken over a moment ago is still there, but he also feels a sense of comfort and reassurance. The kalawa feels like a tangible connection to you, a reminder that you're still there for him.
Jk closes his eyes again, trying to block out the negative thoughts and focus on the feeling of the kalawa on his wrist. It's a small thing, but it provides him with a sense of stability amidst the chaos of his thoughts and emotions. As Jk drifts off to sleep, he holds onto the kalawa like a lifeline. In the depths of his consciousness, he whispers softly to himself.
Jk: "Please keep us safe..."
There was a knock on the door that jolted him out of his thoughts.
Jk: "Come in."
his voice laced with a hint of irritation. He had no interest in dealing with more problems or conversations at this moment.
The door slowly opened, and his mom walked in, her eyes filled with a mix of worry and curiosity. She stood in the doorway for a moment, studying her son's face before speaking. "
Mom: JK... Can we talk?"
JK's initial irritation immediately faded away upon seeing his mom. No matter what was going on in his life, he couldn't stay angry at her.
Jk: "Sure, mom. What's up?"
She entered the room and took a seat on the bed beside him, clasping her hands together nervously.
Mom: "I wanted to talk to you about something...It's about Halsey..." (She said, her voice soft and gentle.)
Jk: "What about her?"
Mom: "I don't want to pry, but I couldn't help but notice that something seems... off between you two." (She paused, her gaze fixed on him.) "You two seem distant, as if there's something unspoken between you."
JK's heart sunk further into his chest. He knew this conversation was inevitable, but he had hoped to keep the truth hidden for a while longer.
Jk: "It's just... It's complicated, mom," (he said, avoiding her gaze.)
His mom reached out and placed a comforting hand on his arm.
Mom: "I know it's not my business, but I can't help but worry about you. You and Halsey used to be so close, and now it feels like there's a wall between you." (Her voice trembled slightly as she continued.) "I just want to make sure you're alright."
JK couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt at her words. She had no idea what had actually happened between him and Halsey, and it pained him to know he was lying to her.
Jk: "I'm fine, mom," (he lied, forcing a smile.) "There's nothing to worry about."
Mom: And Halsey? She was leaving house just now, you know. But I stopped her. (His eyes widened.)
Jk: Why did you even stopped her mom!
Mom: "She was here, asking me to fix things between you two. She said she has changed, realizes her mistakes, and wants to make things right.. but I don't know what mistakes she had done. Look son you both are couple, misunderstanding happens... Forgive her you love her son...
Anger rise within him at his mom's words.
Jk: It's not that simple, mom," he said, his voice rising. There are some things that can't be forgiven, things I con't overlook and I don't care mom, I don't want her in my house. "We are not couple "
His mom looked hurt and confused at his words.
Mom: "But-" (she started speaking but he immediately cut her off.)
Jk: "No buts, mom." (firmly.) "She's not welcome here anymore.'
Mom: You can't just shut your marriage like this you are HIS HUSBAND!! (yelled)
JK flinched at his mom's raised voice but.
Jk: "I can do whatever I WANT!" (He snapped back, his own temper flaring.) "I am the sole earner of this house, I pay all the bills. Why should I let a lying, cheating b!tch stay under the same roof as ME?!"
Mom: JUNGKOOK!
He felt a shiver run down his spine as he looked at his mom, her hand raised in the air. He had never seen her like this.
Jk: "Mom..." ( his voice softer now.) "Don't even think about it, please," (he added, his voice cracking slightly.)
he burst outside the room downstairs
As he reached the bottom of the stairs, he saw Halsey standing in the living room, her eyes red and puffy from tears. She looked up as he entered, her gaze desperate and pleading.
Halsey: 'Please, JK, we need to talk, she said, her voice trembling.
Jungkook: Guards! I don't want this garbage in front of my eyes! Threw it out and make sure it will never get around my area!
