VIP

He leads me up the long windy staircase to the closed VIP area. Ryan never let me and Mia up there when we was on shift, he swore he needed his best barmaids on the main floor. Probably was a blessing in disguise all a long and makes me question now if Ryan out of all people also knows the dangers that lurk around the club.

Charles punches a code to unlock the lounge, as the door swings open I'm greeted with a spacious room decorated with plush leather- furniture, a fully stocked bar and floor to ceiling windows over looking the Monaco harbour.

I step further inside hugging my bare arms from the cold rush of the air con above that I'd stupidly left on when closing last night. Out the corner of my eye I could see him stride over to the bar to retrieve his usual whiskey, pouring himself a glass in the process.

"Sit down" He gestures to one of the leather sofas behind me. I place one foot in front of the other carefully towards it and place myself down, in the day time the club looked unrecognisable almost- less dangerous and more homely.

"I still don't get why we're here Charles what if Ryan comes in?" I ask as I look cautiously around, there was no way of hearing the main doors of the club open from all the way up here.

He downs the glass in one swift motion then pours another before joining me on the sofa. Leaning back comfortably, he finally addresses my question with a smirk "Ryan won't come in till tonight and you know that and neither will Mia or anyone else for that matter"

"Mia.." I echo sadly, with everything going on I didn't have a minute to stop and think about how worried I must've left her last night "Wait how do you know her name? Last night you was referring to her as my friend"

He leans back, spreading his arms across the back of the sofa "I assumed that was her name because that's the only person that's been blowing up your phone"

"Yeah she'll be worried knowing her.." I comment with a sickening sigh.

I could feel his eyes watching me for a moment or two, a blank expression even I knew I couldn't read and I wasn't even looking at it "She cares about you" He finally says.

"I care about her too she's the only person I have here" I reminisce.

He sits up, placing his empty glass on the polished glass table in front of us "Yeah well for now you're stuck with me"

"The joys.." I echo, my eyes staring into an angry trance in front of me. He'd taken everything from me- Mia, my freedom..my life. How could I not be fuming at that?

Charles falls silent, he studies me intently as I stare off into another universe. The sadness in my eyes I knew was visible, the loneliness mixed in there too "Anyways..I brought you here so we can run through the plan for tonight"

"It's a Saturday though I thought they only came in on Friday nights?" I finally turn to look at him with a questioning gaze.

I'm met with his piercing water blue eyes that shone in the midday sun from the windows in front of us "They do but tonight is different. They have business to handle here so as far as me and my guys are aware they're coming here tonight to settle that business"

"I can't believe I've been working here and never really known what's been going on...it's..it's just insane" I talk quietly, twiddling my rings around my fingers as a comfort tic.

"You're better off not knowing trust me. This city isn't for someone like you" He pauses briefly as if he was choosing his next words carefully "They'll be here early tonight so we need to make sure everything is set up perfectly and most importantly how you're going to win these guys over. First impressions are everything"

"So flirt that's what you mean you want me to flirt my way to the top" I cock my eyebrow up knowingly.

A chuckle arises from him, he leans forward and powerfully leans his elbows onto his knees "Pretty much yeah. You need them to like you and mostly importantly trust you. Do what you need to. Get them drunk, laughing and distracted. One of them are bound to slip up as time goes on. They're always a weakest link. Find them. Go for them"

"And what if they don't? What if I can't do this job good enough?"

"Then we have a problem. You need to make sure they do slip up. You need to be the reason they feel comfortable here. The reason they lower their guard. You understand?" He gazes straight into my eyes with a serious undertone look "You need to be the bait"

I swallow back the nerves floating in the pit of my throat, trying to process in my head what is being asked of me "Okay..okay so how do we go about this?"

With a sigh he gets up and begins slowly pacing the small room from corner to corner "Well firstly we need you wearing something a little less respectful. Something that shows off your curves. Men are known to be weak creatures, they can't resist a pretty face and a nice body" He strides over to the empty lounge sofa positioned at the opposite end of the room and points vaguely to it "They're going to be sat right here and probably surrounded by security so the flirty the better give his men a reason to back off"

"I'm not really..good at flirting though how are we so sure I can even pull this off, I could raise suspicions by accident" My worry was thick, I knew if I didn't pull this off my life was over. Charles had threatened me before and if I cocked up the plan it was game over for everyone involved.

He stops in his tracks and turns to face me, his expression cold and calculating "Just be yourself act a bit more..forward then you usually would. Bat your eyelashes, giggle a lot, touch their arm when you talk to them. Men eat this shit up all the time under your nose whilst you're serving them drinks" He places himself carefully down next to me and leans back comfortably "Stand up and we'll give it a practice run since you're that nervous just pretend I'm one of the guys you're dealing with"

My eyes widen slightly, he wasn't joking I knew that for sure "You mean you want me to practice flirting with you?...here..now?"

"Yeah here and now" His eyes hold a serious stare that I knew no matter I couldn't say no too "Come on don't overthink it"

I hesitate for a second studying my situation. I was a hostage obeying any rule he gives me. If I didn't. God knows what I was in for. Eventually I gather myself from the leather, smoothing the hem of my dress and ruffling my hair slightly "I'm not exactly going to be the most attractive with this on my cheek though am I?" My finger jabs to the healing gash he'd left me the night before.

"It adds character" He says with a smirk "Now try touching my arm when you talk to me, make me interested in what you're saying"

I nod my head slowly processing the simple instructions he left me, I have to make this work no matter how awkward it was going to be. Instinctively I grab his empty glass he was drinking out of and hold it up closely to his eye view, my eyes following the glass till they eventually meet his, my hand snakes out and gently rests on his upper arm- my cleavage bulging in view "Can I get you a re fill?"

He holds my gaze, clearly momentarily distracted by the distance I'd closed between us, his eyes follow my rested hand before returning to my anxious glare "I would love a re fill"

With a strut I make my way over to the bar, I carefully grab the overpriced scotch and begin to brim the glass with the liquor, before long I'm walking back over to him, bending over the table slightly as I place it down in front of him "How do you want to pay me?"

"I think I can find something to trade" He takes the glass from the table, his fingers brushing against mine deliberately "But let's make this interesting..Come here"

A flicker of hesitation past me but it soon fell on death ears as I walk further towards him anxiously. His eyes watch me, every inch "Relax" He mutters softly, he waits till I'm within touching distance then snatches my hips suddenly pulling me in-between his legs "What if I want to pay this way?"

My breath hitches in the back of my throat as I look down at him "I doubt they'd do this Charles..." I whisper.

He chuckles lowly, the sound vibrating through his chest where my hips are now pressed "Probably not" His hands loosen but I'm not released fully "But you get the idea..flirtatious..touchy..playful"

"Yeah..I've got the idea" I say as I stare down at him.

He maintains his hold over me for a moment longer then necessary before slowly releasing me "Good stick to that because-" He's cut short as the door to the suite opens and a man dressed in a dark crisp suit strides confidently in. He's got a bulge in his left hip which indicated to me pretty quickly he was armed.

"Ah Charles knew I'd find you in here" He says outspoken.

My head whips towards him, I guessed straight away he worked for Charles. The Ferrari logo on his suit was a given. I step back from and Charles and adjust myself and my bearings in the process. Either way for the unknown man it looked suspicious what he'd walked in on. Charles stands up smoothly, unbuttoning his shirt by one or two.

"Antonio what can I do for you?"

His tone is cool but friendly as he nods at him from across the room. Antonio glances between Charles and myself briefly, one eyebrow arching slightly when he clocks the close proximity. Too close for someone you've supposedly kidnapped.

Antonio straightens himself and clears his throat swiftly "I was just making sure you'd prepped her for tonight"

I remain silent as my eyesight flickers between the pair. The word prepped makes me cringe I felt like a patient being whipped off to surgery in that manner. Antonio proceeds to pull out an average size black folder from his briefcase and hands it to Charles.

"She and yourself have all the necessary information inside, her cover story, target profiling, meeting points so on and so forth" Antonio looks at me once more "She's ready isn't she? She looks a bit..beaten" He laughs "Was that your doing?"

Charles answers with a simple eye roll "It might've been"

"I am here you know" I reply. It felt like they were talking like I wasn't even in the room with them.

Antonio glances at me apologetically and laughs "Right of course my bad..well you seem ready. Just stick to the story no improvising unless absolutely necessary" His eyes flick to my cheek again "And for the love of fuck cover that up"

"That was part of my plan" I grumble as I touch the gash, wincing slightly when it aches.

Charles begins to step forward, gently taking my hand away from my face "Stop touching it" He meets Antonio's gaze "She's ready" His tone leaves no room for any arguments from either my party or his.

Antonio nods in agreement "Sienna pleasure to finally meet you"

"Yeah you too.." I mutter out.

With a brief nod he exits the room. I could feel Charles gather all his attention back to me "Let me see this gash then" He gently tilts my head to the side, examining it throughly.

I allow him to toy with my face "It's nothing it'll heal on its own"

"Maybe so" He moves to the side bar and retrieves a first aid box tucked neatly under the till "Sit down" His tone borderline threatening almost, leaving me no choice but to back up against the couch and place my ass down.

He kneels down in front of me, carefully dabbing an anti-septic wipe he'd found. His touch was thankfully gentle almost meticulous not something I'd been so used to since knowing him.

"This is going to sting a bit" He murmurs, applying a small amount of pressure.

I cringe out in pain and bite the inside of my cheek to stop myself from tearing up. It felt like the left side of my face had been set on fire and he was holding the blow torch to it.

He works silently for a few moments then in a swift motion he reaches inside his pocket, pulling out a small tube of antibiotic ointment. He applies a thin layer over the bruise "Turn your head to the side again" He orders.

"You just happen to have that cream on you do you?" I ask curiously.

"I grabbed it this morning because I knew I'd have to do this..so turn your head Sienna"

My head instinctively falls to the position he wants it at, my eyes wandering away from his pretty face "It's not really that big of a deal"

"Stop being stubborn" His voice unexpectedly gentle with such firm words "Antonio is right you do need to cover that up"

"And I will..cant exactly have this plan go to shit" I mumble sarcastically out.

With one final glance over he taps my knee approvingly and stands up "There looks a bit better"

I jab my finger on the damp spot and sigh heavily "So what now? Is your plan to just stay in an empty club till tonight because I need time to get ready...kidnapped or not"

"You're welcome by the way" He mutters sarcastically, throwing the cream into the aid kit and placing it back to its rightful place "We're going back to the villa and you're calling your loved ones"

"Wait I thought that was tomorrow?" I speak out clearer in hopes he'd really changed his mind and wasn't totally fucking with me.

"Consider it a reward for taking a beating without complaints" He jokes softly "Look you're going to need your strength for tonight and they'll be the ones to give that to you..but I'll have to be there for the call Sienna"

"Yeah..yeah I know and that's okay" I nod understandingly.

He extends his hand to help me up which I gingerly take at first.

"Come on let's get you out of here"
