"Leave her alone!"

"STOP CODDLING HER! SHE WILL NEVER BE THE BEST IF YOU KEEP BABYING HER!"

"SHE IS ONLY 5 YEARS OLD!"

Days usually went like this. Enji would train Shoto and Tomomi a point where one or the other would be too weak to even move, Rei would try and stop the situation, which caused a fight. And then he would release a string of insults their way before leaving.

It became the norm for the Todoroki siblings and as sad as it was, it was all they knew. This meant he loved them, right?

That was the question that the twins found themselves asking on a daily basis.

"No wonder she's so weak," Enji spat out as if his own daughter was nothing to him. "It's because of you. She's too much like you! She will never be anything. She is destined to always be nothing but a disappointment."

Rei held her daughter close to her as she felt her cry silently. Enji stormed out of the room and slammed the door, making the crying mother jump as she tried to comfort her daughter. "It's okay, sweetie." She whispered soothingly while Tomomi kept crying into her shoulder. "It's okay...."

This was a daily thing. Sadly, this was the normal in the Todoroki household. If it wasn't Tomomi, it was Shoto. If it wasn't Shoto, it was Rei who shielded them.

Tomomi often thought about the snowfall when things like this happened. She pretended that she was playing in the snow with her siblings, mom and dad and everyone was happy in her vision. Everything was okay. Everything was good.

And when the pain is gone, she fell asleep. And that's where the nightmares came into view. The scary images of losing her family because of her dad. She dreamt of blue flames and a maniacal laugh. She saw tears and heart ache. For a 5 year old, she didn't understand what it meant and why she was seeing these things. All she knew was that it was scary and she couldn't stop herself from freezing her room.

"Toto~" A soft voice would always whisper, bringing her out of the dark. "Toto~"

And when she woke up, she saw the face of her oldest brother, Touya, there. His unique blue eyes would always calm her down and reassure her that everything was okay. Even if it were for a moment.

"It was only a dream, Toto," He would say as he carried her in his arms. "It was only a dream. I promise you I won't let the monsters get you."

"Pinky promise?" She would sob out, sticking out her little pinky. Touya smiled softly, wrapping his bandaged pinky around hers. "Pinky promise."

Aizawa may be called a lot of things but one thing no one can take away from him is the amount of care he has for his students. Even if he never expressed it to them. He cared for all of his students and it wasn't just because he was a teacher and he had to care. Most teachers don't care. But not him. He took his role super seriously.

And to hear the things Tomomi just told him, it infuriated him and hurt him. It just.....he couldn't even explain how angry he was in that moment.

"Have you told anyone else?" He asked, having to ask the standard questions every teacher has to ask when dealing with abused children.

Tomomi shook her head a little, indicating that he was the only one who knew now. She couldn't even look at him as she sheepishly rubbed her cold arms. The area they stood was turning colder by the minute. Aizawa could tell she had something to do with that, seeing as it was supposed to be a rather warm day.

Aizawa sighed deeply. He knew there was something off about Enji, he just knew it. He just never thought it would be this. Sure, the guy can be a dick and a stiff in the neck but he never thought he would be able to do something like this to his own children. Enji truly was a terrible person behind it all. And he was an even worse father, to add on to that.

"Please..."Tomomi mumbled, hugging herself but her eyes still stayed downward. "Don't tell anyone."

"Tomomi, I don't know if I can do that." Aizawa said truthfully. "This is a serious matter....This is not something I can just turn a blind eye to. And that's not only coming from a teacher's stand point but....I don't know if I can just go on knowing this has happened before. Especially if it is still hurting my students."

Tomomi knew he was right. He was an honest man. He had no problem calling people out on their dishonesty whenever he felt they needed to hear it.

Aizawa looked at her and sighed again. Though he didn't think it was a good idea to hide this from others, he knew the last thing she or Shoto needed was everyone else knowing this. Which could only prove detrimental if everyone suddenly knew what they've been through. He wanted to see Enji face his wrong doings but he had to think about the effect it would happen on the rest.

"Look, this conversation stays between you and me, if only you promise to come to me if it ever happens again." He said, making her look at him with slight shock.

"Contrary to popular belief, I care about all of my students. You're one of my favorite students, Tomomi....Just don't tell the others."

Tomomi lightly chuckled, a ghost of a smile appearing on her face as Aizawa gently patted the top of her head.

"You're a strong girl....And you deserve everything you've achieved...Don't forget that."

His match with Midoriya was starting soon and Shoto still couldn't get what he heard earlier.
It boiled his blood to hear his father threaten his own daughter by using Touya against her. He knew she was the only one who thought Touya wasn't dead while everyone else did. He knew how much he meant to her and yet....He shouldn't be surpised.

Enji never talked about his family to anyone. Hell, he's certain that he doesn't have any photos of them in his office. It had gotten to a point where Natsuo forgot about him. Shoto often wondered what would happen if his family grew up normal like everyone else. Touya would still be alive.

Somehow, Shoto blamed Enji for his death. If he didn't neglect his older siblings and isolated them from the twins, he would still be here. It was a silly thought born out of anger, he knows. But that was the more logical explanation he could think of.

"T-Todoroki-kun?" a delicate voice interrupted his thoughts. He looked up and saw Momo standing at the door of the locker room he was in.

She looked like she was too afraid to approach him. Shoto remembered how close Tomomi and her became. So it was weird to see her talk to him. Mainly because they haven't really interacted much.

"Um.."She mumbled, turning pink a little as she nervously shifted her weight on her other foot. "I was...Well, everyone was wondering if Tomo-chan is okay."

Shoto said nothing as he kept his face blank, allowing her to continue.

"I-It's just after her fight with Monoma and even before it, she seemed off." Momo explained. "In fact, w-we've noticed that the both of you seemed off and we wanted to know if you and her are okay."

Shoto was taken aback by the fact that his classmates actually cared about their wellbeing. Enough to send one of them to ask if they were okay. Tomomi and Shoto grew up so used to being isolated from everyone, it baffled him a bit to hear her say that.

There were even times where Tomomi had said she was waiting for her friends to leave them because that was what she was used to. And he was always the one to protect her from what he thought was the inevitable.

"She's fine..."He said, straightforwardly. "She just needs to be alone for a while,"

Momo somehow didn't believe him. She noticed the look in her eyes after she left the arena. Her eyes were slightly red. Like she had been crying. But all she could do was trust his word for now.

"Just...know that we're here to help, Todoroki-kun." She said determination lacing her tone before she turned to leave him.

Shoto watched as she left. As much as he felt it was none of their business, he felt grateful to know they cared.

Thank you, Yaoyorouz

This was a relatively short chapter
so this qualifies as a filler.

someone asked me why Tomomi wasn't
neglected like the others. And so I thought
I would explain it here so everyone can know.

When Rei was pregnant, Enji never anticipated
on Shoto being a twin, much less having another
daughter.

Tomomi was, in many ways, an unplanned baby.
And like Touya/Dabi, her ice quirk was so powerful,
she developed it at a very early age.

Her ice quirk developed way more than it did to Fuyumi,
Shoto and even a little more than Rei. Which is why she
is able to do more with it than Shoto can.

And Enji saw that as a power move.

But because Tomomi looks like Rei and Touya, even
sharing some of the same characteristics as Touya ( Before
he became Dabi ) Enji trained her with Shoto.

This continued even after Touya's "death" because, in
a very messed up way, he didn't want to lose her like he
did Touya.

But that was also why he was way harsher to her than
he is with Shoto ( despite him being super harsh to him. )

Every time he looks at Tomomi, he sees his oldest son. And
every time he hears her talk, he hears both Rei and Touya, two
people that still haunt him.

Hope I explained that well haha.

I told you all this will get stressful and emotional.

Love you all.
