Amara's outfit:
Chapter Eighty-Five
β‘Radio Silenceβ‘
"The corpus callosum is not only the largest white matter structure in the brain, but also the bridge connecting all parts of the brain to each other. The ability for all parts of the brain to communicate and to work together help us make leaps in cognitive thinking. Any questions? Thoughts? Insight?" Ms. Finch explained.
Amara sighed softly and glanced out the window ro see a blue jeep sitting in the parking lot and a guy from the tow truck company looking it over. She stared at it for a moment as she felt a sense of familiarity.
"Amara." Ms Finch said making Amara look at Ms. Finch, "What?" Amara asked and Ms. Finch hummed and nodded slightly before pointing at the window. "Is there something outside that's more fascinating than the structure of the human mind?" Ms. Finch asked and Amara shrugged slightly.
"Yeah." She said without thinking making Ms. Finch raise her eyebrows as Lydia lightly pinched Amara's arm. "No." Amara corrected herself and Ms. Finch nodded, "Okay, good. Now, many people credit the corpus callosum, uh, for giving us a sense of intuition, gut instinct, that even we ourselves aren't aware." Ms. Finch started explaining.
Amara glanced over at Lydia and Scott as Ms. Finch started walking away. Lydia was sitting next to Amara and Scott was sitting at the table next to them, both looking at Amara confused. Amara shrugged slightly. before looking back out the widow to see the guy starting to hook up the jeep. "I'll be right back." Amara said before getting up and running out of class.
"Hey! Hey, you can't tow this Jeep!" Amara said as she ran out side and over to the jeep making the guy look over at her. "Paperwork says I can. It's reported as abandoned." He said and she rolled her eyes before resting her hand on the jeep, "Not anymore." She said making him raise his eyebrows at her.
"Oh, this is your vehicle?" He asked and she rolled her eyes again, "Does it matter?" She asked and he scoffed. "Sounds like a no." He said and she went to say something but Scott and Lydia ran up to them. "It's mine! Uh, my Jeep. Thank you. I'll move it... once I get the keys... from my locker... after you leave." Scott said.
"I'm sorry. Once it's on the hook-" The guy started to say but Lydia cut him off, "Please don't say, "You're on the hook."" Lydia cringed. "Well, I can't now." He said and went to move but Scott spoke up, "Oh, I... Okay, look, there's gotta be something that we can do. Sign something? Call someone-"
"Pay someone?" Amara asked making the guy look over at her for a moment before smirking, "Drop fee is a hundred and fifty. Cash." He said and Scott's eyes widened. "A hundred and fifty? This thing isn't even worth that much." Scott said, looking over at Amara, who just rolled her eyes as she and Lydia pulled out their wallets.
"How much you got?" Lydia asked as Scott counted his money, "Uh, how much have you got?" He asked and she rolled her eyes slightly. "Just give me your money." Amara said and he sighed and held up his money, cAll I have is fifty dollars. And when I say "all," I mean all-" He said and she just grabbed his money as Lydia handed her some and Amara handed it to the guy.
He smirked before detaching the jeep and walking over to his truck. "Hey." Scott said making Amara look over at him, "You know I don't actually have the keys to this thing, right?" He said and she glanced at the jeep and shrugged.
"Well, now we have a jeep."

Amara sat in class when all of the sudden a loud high pitch ringing sound made her groan and cover her ears. When it stopped she looked up and looked over at Lydia who was already looking at her. "You heard that too right?" Amara asked and Lydia nodded, "I heard it." She said.
Moments later they ran out of class and glanced down the hall, "Where did it come from?" Lydia asked and Amara glanced down the hall. "I think I know where." She said before grabbing Lydia's hand and walking out of the school. They stopped when they walked up to the jeep where they could hear radio static. Seconds later Scott and Malia ran up to them.
"It's coming from inside." Lydia said and Scott and Malia walked over to the driver side door. Scott pulled on the handle but the door was locked making him sigh. "Did somebody just lock the keys inside?" Malia asked. "Break it." Amara said making them glance over at her. Scott turned back to the jeep and pulled on the handle until the lock broke.
Amara walk over to stand next to Scott and Malia to look in the jeep. In the middle if the front seats sat a police scanner where the static was coming from. They all glanced at each other before Scott and Malia climbed into the back seat and Lydia and Amara climbed into the front seats.
They looked around until the police scanner suddenly went quiet making them stop. "Why'd it stop?" Malia asked as Amara looked at it, "It doesn't matter." Amara said as she flipped one of the switches but it never went back on making her sigh. "There has to be a reason." She mumbled and Scott took a deep breath and looked around confused.
"Did you catch a scent?" Lydia asked making him look over at her, "Yeah, uh... Ours. Mine, yours... all four of us." He said and Malia raised her eyebrows. "Mine? I've never been in this Jeep before." Malia said and Scott shrugged, "Neither have I." He said and Lydia sighed. "Me neither." She said and Amara just shook her head, "No, we have. We just don't remember it." She said.
"I thought we were done with that?" Malia said making Amara give her a look while Scott nodded slightly, "Uh, yeah, Amara, Parrish and your mom checked the VIN number. There's no record of an owner." Scott said and she just shrugged. "Well, the Jeep didn't just drive itself here." She said and Scott nodded slightly when he realized she bad a point making Malia scoff, "Whose side are you on?"
"I'm on everyone's side."
"He's not real." Malia said as Amara stared digging around the glove box and scoffed, "Wren, he isn't real. Trust me. I've lost a lot of people in my life. It's a long list, and I don't feel like adding to it." Malia said. "Yeah? Well my list is longer and wont have to add to our lists if we get him back." Amara said as she pulled out a paper and read it over before smirking.
"Bingo." She said before holding out the paper which was a registration form for the jeep. "This is from '96. And there's no name." Lydia said as she read it over, "But there's an address. 129 Woodbine Lane." Malia said and Amara nodded slightly.
"We know that address."

"I don't know what to tell you. I haven't seen that Jeep in... almost eighteen years." Claudia said as Scott sat in front of her and Stilinski, "But it's in your name." Scott said. "But it was stolen." Claudia said making Scott sigh, "But how did it end up at the high school?" He asked and Stilinski shrugged.
"Beats the hell out of me. I mean, that thing was a junker back in the day. God only knows who'd want it now." He said and Claudia nodded, "Maybe somebody dumped it there?" She suggested.
"Is there any way to trace the history of the Jeep after it was stolen?" Scott asked and Stilinski shook his head, "No." He said. "Maybe there's fingerprints in it?" Scott asked and Stilinski looked at him worriedly, "Is this about Stiles?" Stilinski asked making Scott sigh and look down.
"Scott, don't you think you and your friends have taken this far enough?" Claudia said before handing him back the form. "I don't really know what's going on with you lately, but maybe it's a good time to talk to your mom or Natalie." Claudia said Scott nodded slightly.
"I'm sorry for bothering you guys." He said before getting up and walking away.

Scott pulled up to the school where Amara and Lydia stood in front of the tow truck guy next to the jeep. "What's going on? We already paid you for that drop fee." Scott said as he walked up and the guy shrugged, "Yeah, and I dropped it, all right? Now, I'm picking it up again." The guy said.
"How much? I'll write you a check." Lydia said and the guy shook his head, "It's not about how much- they want it out of here, okay? It's not up to me." He said and went to walk over to the jeep but Amara stood in the way. "Don't make me move you, girl. Okay? I'm hookin' this thing up and I am towing it away." The guy said and Amara raised her eyebrows, "Try me." She said.
Before anyone could say anything a squeaking sound came making them loom over to see Malia pulling the hook off the rope. "Your truck's broke." She said as she handed him the hook while he looked at her crazy and she just smiled.
A little while later Scott, Lydia and Amara at in the jeep when all of the sudden a loud roar made them jump up. "What the hell?" Scott muttered as they climbed out of the jeep and ran over to Malia. "Did you hear that?" She asked and Amara nodded, "I think all of Beacon Hills heard that." She said.
"Who is it?" Scott asked and Malia shook her head, "I'm not sure, but I think I recognize it." Malia said and Amara nodded in agreement. "Me too." She said and they all glanced at each other. "Go!" Lydia said and almost instantly, Scott and Malia ran off, Amara glanced at Lydia for a moment before kissing her cheek and running after them.
"Hey, any luck?" Scott asked as he, Amara and Malia met up with each other after a little while of looking around. "No. He hasn't roared again. I've got a scent, but..." Malia said and Am shook his head slightly, "There's something wrong with it." He said and Amara nodded.
"It smells like whoever it is...is burning." Amara said before there was a distant roar making them glance at each other before following it. They ran until they found the burnt body of a man and they cautiously walked towards him.
"I hear a heartbeat." Malia said, "Who is that?" Scott asked and Malia furrowed her brows. "I don't know, but I know the scent, even through the barbecue." Amara said as she and Malia walked over to the man while Scott glanced around. "How do you think he got here? There's no tracks, no fire..." He said all of the sudden the man's eyes shot open making them jump slightly before Amara's and Malia's eyes widen.
"Holy shit! Peter?" Amara asked and the man mumbled in pain as it seemed like he tried to nod making Scott run over to them. "Who's Peter?" Scott asked and Malia glanced at him, "Peter Hale- our dad." Malia said and Scott looked at the man before realization crossed over his features.
"He bit me. How could I forget him?" He asked and Amara raised her eyebrows slightly. "He raised me for eleven years, how did I forget him?" She asked and Peter weakly tried to nod at his hand making Malia look down, "He has something." She said.
Peter started letting out pained grunts making Malia, Amara and Scott take his pain away for a moment before his passed out. The three of them glanced at each other before Amara pulled something out of Peter's hand. "What is it?" Scott asked and then Amara held up a set of keys.
Minutes later Amara sat in the driver side seat staring at set keys that she was holding. She took a deep breath before putting the keys in the ignition and turning them. The engine sputtered but didn't turn on making her sigh and stop before turning them again. "Don't flood it." Scott said and Amara shook her head, "I'm not." She said and Lydia looked at them confused from the backseat.
"Do either of you even know what that means?" She asked making Scott and Amara glance at each other, "Not really." Scott said. Amara took a deep breath, closing her eyes for a second before putting the key back in and turning it.
This time it worked and the jeep came to live making their eyes widen and they all chuckled happily. They all sat there for a moment waiting for something to happen but nothing did. All of the sudden the police scanner turned on and radio static came through making them jump. Scott went to turn it down but then a voice came through, "Hello?"
"Wait, wait, wait, wait." Amara said and the same voice she's been hearing came through again, "Hello? Is anyone there? Can anyone hear me?" They said making Amara look up at Scott and Lydia with wide eyes. Scott quickly pulled off the mic and held a button down, "Stiles?" He asked and then Amara and Lydia leaned closer. "Stiles?" Amara asked, "Are you there?" Lydia asked and they waited for a moment.
"Scott? Amara? Lydia? Is that you?" Stiles asked over the radio making Scott let out a relieved chuckled, "We can hear you!" Scott said. "Oh, my God. You know me? You remember me?" Stiles asked and Amara took a deep breath, "Stiles, is thi- is this you? Is this actually you?" She asked.
"Yeah. It's me... Do you remember the last thing I said to you?" He asked and Amara thought for a moment before nodded slightly, "You said, "Remember you're my sister." She said and they could hear him let out a breath of relief.
"Are you okay?" Scott asked and Lydia leaned forward a bit, "Where are you?" She asked. "Yeah, we're comin' to get you." Amara said and almost instantly, Stiles's voice came through.
"No, no, no. You can't. You won't be able to find me."
"Stiles, what-what are you talking about? Just tell us where you are, and we'll- we'll come and..."
"Look, just remember this- Canaan. Okay? You have to find Canaan. Just find Canaan." Stiles said and then the radio went static again making all of their eyes widen.
"Stiles? Stiles!"
