Amara's outfit:
Chapter Seventy
π Status Asthmaticus π
"Go home, guys. Stilinski isn't telling anyone where he put the bodies, and I'm pretty sure I'm not psychic." Parrish said as he sat against the bars of the cell, Lydia and Amara sitting against them as well outside the cell. "But you're drawn to death... Just like md." Lydia said and Parrish raised his eyebrows slightly.
"Does that make me a kind of Banshee? Lydia find bodies and I find Chimeras..." He trailed off and Amara nodded slightly, "Dead Chimeras." She said. "So, we're both harbingers of death and Amara's a protective pyromaniac." Parrish said and the girls nodded making him sigh. "I should probably add that to my resume." He said and Lydia hummed, "Hmm... It's on my college applications." She said making them laugh.
It was quiet for a few minutes until Parrish spoke up again, "Does it help, knowing? Knowing what you are?" He asked and Amara and Lydia glanced at each other. "It doesn't scare me as much- that, I know." Lydia said and Amara nodded slightly, "It definitely gets better once you know what you are. It was frustrating growing up, not knowing if I'll become a Werewolf or a Witch." She said.
"Do we scare you?" Lydia asked, looking at Parrish and he shrugged slightly, "Once." He said and both girls raised their eyebrows. "Really?" Amara asked and he nodded, "It was the night I found that Werewolf, the one with the talons. I thought I was going to die that night." He said and Lydia furrowed her brows.
"How come?" She asked and he sighed softly, "Because I saw the two of you. I saw the Banshee and the Pyro Alpha. But, I guess it was just a dream or a hallucination." He said and Amara cocked an eyebrow. "What were we doing?" She asked and he shrugged slightly, "Trying to keep me alive." He said and Amara and Lydia looked at each other for a moment.
"Well, sorry, but the Banshee was mostly trying to stay out of the rain." Lydia said and Amara nodded slightly, "And the Pyro Alpha was being a third wheel to Stiles and Malia and watching some dude with talons attack Scott." Amara said and Lydia chuckled. "That was the night of the storm, remember? The Wild Hunt..." She said and Parrish furrowed his brows.
"The what?" He asked, "Oh, it's something Kira was telling me. A myth about thunderstorms, Ghost Riders in the sky, and black dogs..." She trailed off as she and Amara looked at each other. "What is it?" Parrish asked and Lydia shook her head slightly, "I need to check on something. I'll be right back." She said before walking out the cell room.
"Imma go with her." Amara said before pointing at Parrish, "Don't go anywhere." She said. He just raised his eyebrows and gave her a look making her smile, "You know what I mean." She said before walking out and catching up to Lydia.
"What are you going to do?" Amara asked and Lydia stopped and turned to her, "I think I have an idea what Parrish is and I want to look at the Bestiary to make sure." She said and Amara nodded. "Want me to come with you?" Florence asked and Lydia shook her head slightly, "No, you stay here and keep an eye on Parrish. If he leaves, follow him. But be careful." Lydia said and Amara hesitated slightly before nodding.
"You too, the Dread Doctor's are still a big problem and I don't have a good feeling about any of this." Amara said and Lydia nodded before Amara squinted slightly. "You sure you don't want me to come with you?" She asked and Lydia nodded "Someone needs to stay with Parrish." She said and Amara shrugged slightly.
"But what if something happens to you?" Amara asked and Lydia sighed, "Amara, I'll be fine." Lydia said. Amara stared at her for a moment, clearing conflicted, before sighing softly and nodding. "Call me if you figure something out." Amara said and Lydia smiled at her and nodded, "I will." She said before walking out. Amara watched her walk out before going to walk back to the cell room but stopped when she noticed Stiles sitting in his father's office.
"Hey." She said as she walked into the office making him look up, "What are you doing here?" She asked and he sighed and shook his head slightly. "Waiting for my dad. What are you doing here?" He asked and she sighed, "Lydia and I told Parrish and he locked himself in a cell." She said and he just nodded.
She squinted at him for a moment before grabbing a chair and sitting in front of him, "Start talking." She said and he sighed softly. "Scott found out..." He said and nodded slightly, "What did he do?" She asked and he shook his head slightly. "He didn't believe me when I said I had no choice... I didn't even get to explain what happened." He said.
Amara closed her eyes and sighed before shaking her head, "That fucking... I'm gonna have a talk with him later... I might punch him." She said and he nodded slightly. "I think I kinda broke up with Malia..." He said making her raise her eyebrows, "You know you're gonna be single for the rest of your life now, right?" She asked and he nodded.
All of the sudden the fire alarm started going off making them look at each other confused before running out the office. Instantly they noticed Parrish walking through the station smoking slightly.
"Wait, wait, wait!" Amara yelled when she saw the other deputies point their guns at Parrish. "Don't shoot! Stay back! Stay out of his way." Stiles yelled. Parrish just walked past everyone and out the door. Stiles and Amara glanced at each other before they quickly followed Parrish.
π
Parrish, whose clothes have been burned away, except his pants, which have been burned into shorts, broke open a locked chain-link gate and walks toward a nearby van. Unaware that Stiles and Amara has been following him ever since they left the Sheriff's station and has ducked behind a row of cars to watch what he does next.
Parrish, in a trance, opens the back of the van to find a large plastic container that holds the dead body of Corey. Satisfied, he closed the doors before getting into the driver's seat of the van and starts to drive away.
Stiles pulled his phone out and started texting someone. "What are you doing?" Amara asked, "Texting Theo." He said making her look at him weird. "Seriously? You're gonna trust him enough? Something tells me he's probably behind Scott finding out." She asked and he sighed.
"I know, but Lydia's not answering you, Malia isn't answering either of us, Liam's busy with Hayden and Scott hates me right now. Sadly, Theo's our best shot." He said and she sighed and nodded, he had a point.
"Come on, come on..." He mumbled after a few minutes making Amara look over at him to see he was pacing and trying to call someone. "Stiles." Amara said but he just kept pacing, "Stiles!" She said, grabbing his shoulders making him sigh and lower the phone. "Breathe." She said calmly and he took a deep breath and nodded slightly. "Scott gonna realized how much of a fucking idiot he is. It's not gonna be permanent, it never is." She said and he nodded while taking a few deep breaths as a truck pulled up.
"Sorry, I got here as fast as I could." Theo said as he got out of his truck, "We gotta go. Now. Parrish has the bodies-" Stiles said as he walked over to the truck with Amara following. "Okay, wait up. Stiles, wait-"
"Parrish is out, and he's got the bodies. We've got to find Scott, and we've got to tell him-" Stiles said as he opened the door, "Stiles!" Theo yelled making him stop and shut the door. "I don't think Scott wants to talk to you right now." Theo said making Stiles sigh, "Yeah, thanks, I'm aware of that. It doesn't matter. He needs to know about this."
"Stiles... Scott doesn't want to talk to you." He said making Amara squint her eyes at him. "But I think your dad does." He said, holding up Stiles's school ID card making his eyes widen, "Your dad was looking for you, Stiles. He found me instead."
"Where is he?"
"I covered for you. This was taken care of. If Melissa didn't find it at the hospital. I guess even the son of a cop can make mistakes."
"Did you hurt him?"
"I never lied about why I came to Beacon Hills- I'm here for a pack. I came for the Werecoyote, the one whose first instinct is to kill. I came for the Banshee, the girl surrounded by death. I came for the dark Kitsune... The Beta with anger issues... The Pyro Werewitch... I came for Void Stiles! That's the pack I want. Unfortunately, it doesn't include Scott or Amara being an Alpha." He said and Amara scoffed as she leaned against the truck with her arms crossed.
"Your heartbeat's rising, Stiles. It's not because you're afraid. The Nogitsune is gone, but you've still got more blood on your hands than any of us." Theo said and Stiles nodded slightly, "And I'm about to get more."
"I'll tell you where your dad is... if you promise not to help Scott." Theo said and Stiles just squinted at him for a moment before punching him in the face. Amara smirked and watched in amusement as Theo stumbled a bit. He started laughing before turning back to Stiles, "There he is! That's Void Stiles! It felt good, didn't it?" Theo asked and Stiles punched him again.
"We won't tell Scott... 'Cause you can't lose your best friend, right? Even though we both know you never needed him." Theo said and Stiles suddenly shot forward, grabbing Theo's shirt while Amara's phone when off. She pulled it out to see her mom calling her. "You hate me now, but you'll get it eventually. This is the hard part... 'Cause you can't help Scott and save your dad's life. You've still got time, Stiles. You've still got time." Theo said.
"Stiles!" Amara said making Stiles look back at her, "My mom found him."
π
Amara and Stiles pulled up to that abandoned house and quickly got out as Makena ran out. "He's in the basement. I've already called for paramedics." Makena said and Stiles nodded as he quickly ran to the basement.
Amara was about to run after him but suddenly stopped as she groaned in pain, falling to her knees. "Amara?" Makena asked worriedly as she got down next to her daughter, "Something's wrong with Scott." Amara said. All of the sudden Amara cried out in pain, grabbing her head as her eyes flashed red.
"He's dying..." Amara whispered before her eyes rolled back slightly as she passed out. "Amara!" Makena yelled, grabbing her daughter's face.
Amara suddenly gasped awake but instead of being outside the abandoned house she was laying on top of the Nemeton. And instead of her mother being next to her, someone else was.
"Allison?" Amara asked in a slight whisper and Allison smiled at her before holding her hand out. Amara grabbed her hand and stood up while staring at Allison in a mix of shock and confusion. "How- What-? Where am I? How are you here?" Amara asked and Allison sighed softly, "You're in bardo." Allison said making Amara more confused.
"How am I in bardo?" Amara asked before realization slowly crossed over her features, "Scott died... He's dead... When he died, our connection died with him and the pain sent me into a coma. Kind of." Amara said in a slight whisper. "Yes, but Melissa is getting his heart to start again so you're gonna wake up soon." Allison said and it started to really sink in that Amara was seeing Allison again.
"I- I love you." Amara said and Allison smiled and nodded, "I know, and I also know that you have feelings for Lydia now." Allison said making Amara squint slightly. "Did you have to make it awkward right after I finally get to tell you that?" Amara asked and Allison chuckle before sighing softly.
"Speaking of Lydia, you need to find her." Allison said making Amara furrow her brows, "What do you mean?" She asked. "Theo did something to her and now you need to find her." Allison said before she slowly started to disappear making Amara's eyes widen, "What's happening?"
"You're waking up. Amara, you have to find Lydia. Look for the Nemeton." Allison said before everything around Amara slowly disappeared.
Amara suddenly gasped awake making Makena sigh in relief, "We need to find Lydia."
