Amara's outfit:
"How long is this going to take?" Lydia asked as she paced back and forth slightly, "A while apparently." Amara said from where she sat on a metal table.
All of the sudden water splashed across the floor as Scott, Stiles and Allison grasp for the edges of the steel tub, pulling themselves up. "I saw it- I know where it is." Scott said as one-by-one they scramble out of the tubs, soaking wet. "We passed it there's a stump this huge tree not huge now it was cut down but big. Very big."
"It was the night we were looking for the body." Scott said and Stiles nodded, "The night you were bit by Peter." He said. "I was there too. In the car with my mother. We almost hit someone." Allison said and Scott looked at her, "It was me-you almost hit me" He said before looking at the others.
"We can find it." Scott said and Amara, Deaton, Isaac and Lydia shared looks far less hopeful. "What?" Allison said and Isaac sighed, "You guys were out a long time." He said and Scott looked to the windows to see that it's still night.
But Stiles is the first to make the realization, "How long is a long time?" He asked worriedly. Amara glanced at everyone before sighing, "Sixteen hours." She said making their eyes widen.
"We've been in the water for sixteen hours?" Scott asked and Deaton nodded, "And the full moon rises in less than four."
β
Towel pulled tight around his shoulders, Stiles shakes his head at Scott, "No, dude. You're not going back to them." He said and Scott shook his head, "I made a deal with Deucalion."
"Anybody else think that sounds a lot like deal with the Devil. I don't know about you guys, but I've heard that situation doesn't usually come with a happy ending." Stiles argued and Amara nodded slightly. "Why's it matter anyway?" Isaac asked and Scott sighed, "Because I still don't think we can beat Jennifer without their help." Scott said glancing around at all of them. "He trusts you more than any of us. Tell him he's wrong." Allison said looking over at Deaton.
"I'm not so sure he is. Circumstances like this sometimes require you to align yourself with people you'd normally consider enemies." Deaton said. "We're supposed to trust him? The guy who calls himself Death, destroyer of worlds." Isaac said and Deaton shook his head slightly, "I wouldn't trust him, no. But you could certainly use him to your advantage. Deucalion may be the enemy, but he could also be the bait." Deaton said.
"I'll go with them." Amara said making them look at her, "Are you serious?" Allison asked and Amara sighed and nodded slightly. "That man might have taken away my choice of becoming an Alpha and I'd wish nothing more than making him disappear but I do have to admit, he might be the only way we can stop Jennifer." She said and before anyone could say anything, the sound of the front door opening interrupts them.
Following Deaton, they look out to the waiting room to see Ethan standing just behind the gate. "I'm looking for Lydia." He says and she steps out from behind the others. "What do you want?" She asked and he sighed slightly. "I need your help." He said while Stiles stepped next to Lydia slightly, "With what?" He asked.
"Stopping my brother and Kali from killing Derek."
β
"Just grab anything." Scott said over the phone as he, Amara, Allison and Isaac stepped out of the elevator of Allison's apartment complex. "Stiles, I'm not smelling your dad's boxers. Socks? Okay, I'll smell the socks." Scott said before hanging up.
"What about me?" Amara asked as Allison unlocked the door, "See what you can find in my dad's closet. Anything with the strongest scent." She said and Amara nodded. "And me?" Isaac asked, "We'll stop by my house and get something of my mom's." Scott said.
Allison went to walk into the office but froze when she saw Scott's dad and two other men standing in front if the desk covered in weapons. "Quite the arsenal your father's got here, young lady..." Agent McCall said, standing up as Scott walked over to the doorway.
"Scott." McCall said and Scott furrowed his brows slightly, "What are you doing here?" He asked. "Following one of the only leads I have. Now, since I don't know where you've been, why don't you have a seat, and we can talk? You too, Isaac and Amara." McCall said making Isaac and Amara step out.
"How do you know my name?" Isaac asked, "Your names are one of the few things I know. To be honest, the rest of what's going on around here has me stumbling in the dark, even over the smallest clue." McCall said and Scott stepped into the room.
"If you're trying to tell me that you don't have a clue, I learned that a long time ago." Scott said and McCall sighed, "I'm really hoping to avoid the embarrassment of dragging my own son into an interrogation room. Really hoping." He said.
A few minutes later Scott and Allison sat in the two chairs while Amara sat on the arm of Allison's chair and Isaac sat on the small table next to her. Isaac pulled put a pack of mints, handing Amara one as McCall started talking.
"I'm not gonna lie, I'm more than a little disturbed- not only by the number of missing parents, but the fact that it's Stiles' father, your father, and... your mother." McCall said and Isaac raised his hand up slightly, "Mine are both dead." He said and Amara chuckled.
"My dad was dead." She said and her and McCall gave them both an irritated look, "Save the cliched teenage apathy for your high school teachers." McCall said.
"The four of you know more than you're saying, and I'm fully willing to keep you here all night if I have to." McCall said and Scott shook his head, "You can't keep us here." He said. "Not without some kind of warrant." Allison said and McCall raised his eyebrows, "I've got a desk full of probable cause." He said and Allison stood up.
"My father is a highly respected private security consultant and federally licensed firearms dealer- that means he has to own a few weapons." She said before pointing at a crossbow, "Like this one-hundred-seventy-five-pound-draw tactical crossbow." She said before pointing at a knife.
"Or this carbon-steel marine combat knife." She said and then tapped a gun, "Fifty A.E. Desert Eagle." She said before picking up a smoke grenade and hummed slightly. "Smoke grenade with pull-ring igniter." She said before quickly pulling the ring and tossing it to the ground. "Go!" Allison said as smoke started filling the room and Amara laughed as they all quickly got up and ran out the apartment.
"Wait! Scott, wait!"
β
A car and a dirt bike pulled up to the preserve before Allison, Issac and Amara got out of one car while Scott climbed off his bike. "You okay?" Amara asked, looking at Scott and he nodded, "I didn't know what to say to him. I couldn't come up with anything." He said before Amara at her girlfriend.
"What you did was awesome!" She said making Allison smile at her as Isaac walked up to them, "I still haven't gotten anything from Stiles. You?" He asked and Scott shook his head. "I don't get it." He said and Amara sighed softly, "We can't wait for him. Come on." She said before they walked over to the cliff.
"Cutting it a little close, aren't we, Scott?" Deucalion said making them turn around, "We got a little delayed. Where are the others?" Scott asked. "Occupying themselves with other pursuits..." Deucalion said and Scott furrowed his brows slightly, "So, it's just you, Amara and me against her?" He asked.
"Amara's joining us now? I think you'll be surprised what a good team we make." Deucalion said and Amara hummed slightly, "Something tells me we won't." She mumbled while Scott turned to Allison and Isaac.
"Get Stiles, and get to the root cellar, okay? We'll keep Jennifer away long enough for you to get them out of there." He said and Isaac looked at him confused, "How are you gonna do that?" He asked and Scott glanced over at Amara. "I have a plan." He said and Amara nodded slightly before turning to Allison, "Be careful." She said and Allison nodded slightly as Amara kissed her before she and Scott walked over to Deucalion.
β
Deucalion, Amara and Scott walked into the abandoned distillery and Amara looked over at the spiral in the wall while Deucalion leaned towards Scott. "You said you had a plan..." He said and Scott nodded, "On the first day of class, Jennifer sent us all a message. It was the last line from Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness. I've got a message of my own to send her." He said before pulling out his phone.
After Scott recorded and send a video to Jennifer he walked over to the door way to looked at Amara who was standing outside, looking up at the storm. "What is it?" Scott asked making her look at him, "This storm... Jennifer is doing it." She said and he furrowed his brows.
"How do you know?" He asked as she walked up to him, "Since I have all four elements right now I can feel it." She said as they started to walk further into the distillery towards Deucalion. "If I use earth and wind I could counteract it, take control of it. Especially during the Lunar Eclipse." She said and Deucalion hummed slightly.
"Ah, yes. The eclipse where all of us will lose our power while you and Jennifer will more powerful. All you lose is your wolf abilities while your elemental powers get stronger." He said and Amara nodded slightly. "Yeah, until the eclipse ends and I'm back to just having fire powers." She said before looking out the doorway right as they could see a figure walking towards them in the distance.
The figure soon became two before Jennifer and Derek walked into the distillery making Scott's eyes widen as him and Amara glanced at each other. "What are you doing?" Amara asked and Derek sighed, "This might be hard to believe, but I'm actually trying to help you." He said and Deucalion smiled in amusement
"Ooh! Like brother against brother! How very American this is. Are you ready, Jennifer? Hmm?" Deucalion asked as he scolded his cane before taking off his jacket. "Did you gather your herbs? Pray to your ancient gods and your oak trees? Slit a baby's throat, perhaps? Should we show them why you needed to sacrifice nine innocent people, just to face me? Or is it twelve now?" Deucalion asked, his voice getting deeper as he shifted.
The color of his skin falls to an ashen gray, shirt tearing at the seams as his features become more sunken. Eyes surging a bright scarlet red as Deucalion becomes the demon wolf.
Deucalion growled before running at Jennifer but Derek shifted, running forward before swiping at Deucalion. Deucalion caught his arm making Derek throw out his other arm which Deucalion also grabbed. Jennifer stepped forward before throwing her arm out, aiming to toss Deucalion but he didnt move an inch making Amara laugh quietly.
Deucalion suddenly grabbed both Derek and Jennifer by the throat, lifting them up from the ground, chuckling before tossing them. Derek quickly got up, swinging at Deucalion but Deucalion grabbed before flinging him across the distillery into a stack of tires.
Jennifer ran forward but Deucalion just back handed her making her stumble back before he pushed her to the ground. He walked over to her, grabbing her by the back of her neck before pulling her up and over to were Scott and Amara stood.
"Kill her. Do it." Deucalion said, his voice in an echo as he looked at Scott. Scott looked at Jennifer but didnt move making Deucalion let out a loud roar making Scott fall to the ground before transforming. "Now, kill her." Deucalion said and Amara crouched down next to Scott, "Block him out. Don't let him have control over you, Scott. He isn't your Alpha." She said making him look at her.
"Your parents are dying. That storm you hear? She's burying them alive. It's her connection to the telluric currents. Kill her, and it ends." Deucalion said and Jennifer shook her head, "It won't end! Not with me. He'll have you kill everyone you love. It's what he does." She said.
"They're dying, Scott. Your mother and the parents of your best friends. Kill her now, and it's over. Become the Alpha you're meant to be- become a killer." Deucalion said. "Scott." Amara said making Scott look at her for a moment before looking back at Deucalion, "They're not dead yet." He said.
"And who's going to save them? Your friends?" Deucalion asked and Scott stood up, he glanced at Amara and she nodded. He looked back at Deucalion before flashing his yellow eyes, "My pack." He said.
Deucalion snarled before running forward, grabbing Scott by the back of the neck and grabbing his clawed hand. "Maybe you just need a little guidance." He said as he pulled Scott over to Jennifer and Scott looked at him. "I forgot to tell you something... Something that Gerard told Amara. Deucalion... isn't always blind." He said before slamming two flashbolt arrows to the ground.
Scott, Amara and Derek all tried to block their eyes while Deucalion yelled out in pain, being more effected than the others. All if the sudden the place got a bit more dark while all the werewolves went back to normal making Amara's eyes widen. "The eclipse..." She said making them look at her as she closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath, "It started." She said.
Scott quickly got up and looked over at where Jennifer was lying to find her no where in sight. "Oh, no." He muttered. They glanced around before finally noticing a figure within the blowing dust outside the distillery.
As the figure got closer they could tell it was Jennifer, now wearing along cloak and her face the shredded face that the mistletoe revealed. She let out a screech before Scott went flying back and she ran over to Deucalion with quick speed, grabbing him before throwing him to the ground.
She ran over to him again, grabbing him by the hair before repeatedly slamming his head against the ground. "Jennifer!" Derek yelled making her stop, "He doesn't know." He said. "Know what?" She asked in a distorted voice, "What you really look like. He knows the cost of bringing Kali into his pack, but he's never seen the price you paid." Derek said and she looked down at Deucalion.
"No. No, he hasn't." She said before crouching down, holding her hand over his eyes and a second later he started screaming in pain. She pulled away to reveal his eyes completely healed and he furrowed his brows as his eye sight slowly came back.
"Turn to me. TURN TO ME!" Jennifer yelled and Deucalion slowly looked at her, breathing heavily before she went back to her other face. She went to slam her hand down on him but stumbled back making Derek catch her. "What is this?" She asked weakly, "Healing him made you weak, just like healing Cora did to me. You won't have your strength for at least a few minutes." Derek said and Jennifer looked at him.
"Then you do it. Kill him." She said and he shook his head, "No." He said making her look at him shocked. "What?" She asked, "Like my mother used to say- I'm a predator... I don't have to be a killer." He said before grabbing her neck making her gasp, "Let them go!" He said.
She glared at him before slamming him into a wooden creat, she went to walk over to him but someone whistled making her stop and look over at Amara. "Why don't you stop being a coward, and fight someone who still has power?" Amara asked and Jennifer glared at her as she stepped forward.
Jennifer went to throw her hand out but Amara just smirked before Jennifer suddenly started gasping for air as Amara's eyes turned silver. Amara chuckled as she walked towards to Jennifer as she fell to her knees, holding her throat. Amara didn't hesitate before kicking Jennifer in the face making her fall back.
"You got your power from the Nemeton, right?" Amara asked as she walked around Jennifer who started to get up. "Which means you're connected to the earth." Amara said before her eyes turned green, "Which means I can control you." She said before Jennifer screamed in pain when her arm snapped.
Amara's green eyes flickered slightly before turning red as her hold on Jennifer stopped. Jennifer glanced around as all of the Wolves eyes stared to glow making her eyes widened. "Your fifteen minutes are up." Amara said before smiling and stepping back slightly.
Jennifer looked at all of them before suddenly throwing her arm up, creating a circle of mountain ash around her. "Like I told you, Derek- either you or the parents. Well, I guess I'll just have to take them, now. In a few minutes, they'll be dead, and I won't need a lunar eclipse, even to kill a Demon Wolf!" Jennifer said as a new storm slowly started up again and realization crossed over Amara's features.
Scott slowly walked up to the line of mountain ash making Jennifer raise her eyebrows. "You've tried this before, Scott. I don't remember you having much success." Jennifer said as Scott held his hands up slightly.
He pushed his hands against the mountain ash barrier with all his strength, and the smirk on Jennifer's face slowly fell. The more he pushed against the barrier the more he got closer to stepping though ad his eyes glowed a bright yellow. Jennifer watch the yellow in his eyes soon turned to a vibrant red before he stepped over the line making her step back.
Amara smiled as she watched Scott step his other foot past the line making the barrier break and Jennifer stumbled back to the floor. Scott closed his eyes and took a deep breath while Jennifer quickly sat up, staring up at Scott in shock.
"How did you do that?" She asked and Scott stared down at her, "I'm an Alpha now." He said making Amara smile proudly. "Whatever you're doing to cause this storm? Make it stop. Or I'll kill you myself. I don't care what it does to the color of my eyes." Scott said and Deucalion stood up.
"It won't change the color of mine... So allow me." He said before he shot out, slicing Jennifer's throat. Jennifer gasped as she brought her hand up to her bleeding neck before her face changed to her torn up one before falling back to the ground and the new storm stopped.
A minute later Scott called Stiles, "Scott?" Stiles asked as he answered the phone. "Hey, are you okay?" Scott asked, "Yeah, we're okay. We're all okay. How about you? You okay?" Stiles asked and Scott glanced over at where Amara sat next to Derek, "Sort of." Scott said. "You think you can come get us?" Stiles asked, "Yeah, of course."
"Great! Okay. Um, uh... Bring a ladder."
A little while later Derek, Scott and Amara stood outside the distillery in front of Deucalion. "You were supposed to become my god-father when you were a man of vision, a vision of peace. We're letting you go, because we hope you can be that man again." Amara said and Scott nodded slightly.
"But, if you're not, then having your eyesight back won't matter... Because you'll never see us coming." He said before the three of them walked away.
"So how does this work?" Scott asked making Amara look at him, "How does what work?" Amara asked. "The two of us being
