🦎 Raving 🦎

Scott unlocked the front door to the animal clinic as Derek, Isaac, Amara and Makena walked up. "What's he doing here?" Scott asked nodding towards Isaac as they walked in, "I need him." Derek said. "I don't trust him." Scott said and Isaac shrugged slightly, "Yeah, well, he doesn't trust you, either." He said and Amara rolled her eyes.

"And Amara will burn you both of you start arguing." She said and Isaac held his hands up in defense while Derek sighed, "Now, where's the vet? Is he gonna help us, or not?" He asked. "That depends..." Someone said making them look over to see Deaton leaning against the door way of the examination room, "Your friend, Jackson... Are we planning to kill him, or save him?" He asked.

"Kill him." / "Save him." Derek and Scott said at the same time and Amara raised her hand slightly, "Can we save him and then kill him?" She asked making her mither nudge her slightly and Scott shot her a look. "Save him." He said and she just shrugged before he looked over at Deaton, "Save him." He said.

Deaton pulled out a tray with a bunch if hard that had different celtic symbols on the lids. Isaac went to grab one but Makena grabbed his hand to stop him making him look at her. "Don't grab things if you dont know what they are. Some of these could kill you." She said and Amara nodded in agreement.

"So, what are you, some kind of witch?" Isaac asked as he leaned his elbows against the table making Deaton look at him, "No. I'm a veterinarian, Makena's the witch." He said and Isaac nodded slightly as his mouth formed an "O" shape. "And unfortunately, I don't see anything here that's going to be an effective defense against a paralytic toxin." Deaton said.

"We're open to suggestions." Derek said and Isaac furrowed his brows slightly, "What about an effective offense?" Isaac asked and Derek shook her head. "We already tried- I nearly took its head off, and Argent emptied an entire clip into it. The thing just gets back up." He said and Deaton furrowed his brows.

"Has it shown any weaknesses?" He asked and Derek and Amara glanced at each other, "Well, one- it can't swim." Amara said. "Does that go for Jackson as well?" Deaton asked and Scott shook his head, "No. He's the captain of the swim team." He said and Deaton nodded slightly.

Deaton thought for a moment before pulling out a new item from the drawer. An old, scratched steel pendant, "Essentially, you're trying to catch two people- a puppet, and a puppeteer." He said. He places the odd piece on the table. It's the symbol of Cernunnos, a horned God seated in a meditative position. He's encircled by a snake which he grasps at the throat in his right hand.

"One killed the husband, but the other had to take care of the wife. Do we know why?" Deaton asked and Scott shook his head slightly. "I don't think Jackson could do it. His mother died pregnant, too, and she was maybe murdered. I think he couldn't let the same thing happen to someone else." He explained.

"How do you know it's not part of the rules? The Kanima kills murderers. If Jackson kills the wife, then the baby dies, too." Isaac asked and Amara raised her eyebrows at him, "Does that mean your father was a murderer?" She asked and he shrugged slightly. "Wouldn't surprise me if he was." He mumbled and she patted his shoulder.

"Hold on-" Makena said making them look at her, "The book says they're bonded, right?" He asked and they nodded making Deaton get what Makena was hinting at. "What if the fear of water isn't coming from Jackson, but from the person controlling him?" Makena said as Deaton grabbed a jar of mountain ash.

"What if something that affects the Kanima also affects its master?" Deaton asked as he pour a circle of mountain ask around the pendant and Isaac raised his eyebrows. "Meaning what?" He asked and realization crossed over Scott's features as he looked up at everyone.

"Meaning we can catch them- both of them."

With Scott riding shotgun, and Amara in the back Stiles pulls his Jeep into the parking lot amid students hurrying for first period. "There's got to be some other way to get tickets, right?" Scott asked as they all climbed out, "It's a secret show- there's only one way, and it's a secret."

"Hey..." Matt said making them all turn around, also made Stiles scoff under his breath, "Any of you guys know why no one's getting suspended after what happened the other day at school?" Matt asked. "Just forget about it. Nobody got hurt." Stiles said, mostly wanting to stop talking to the guy.

"I-I had a concussion." Matt said offended and Stiles just shrug, "Well, no one got seriously hurt." Stiles said and Amara glanced at Scott amused. "I was in the ER for six hours!" Matt said making Stiles sigh irritably.

"Hey, do you want to know the truth, Matt? Your little bump on the head is about this high on our list of problems right now." Stiles said as he bent down until his hand was about an inch away from touching the concrete.

"Are you okay?" Scott sighed, "Yeah, I'm fine now." Matt said as he looked at Stiles weird before looking at Scott, "So, you didn't get any tickets last night, either?" He asked.

"Are they still selling?"

"Uh, no, but I managed to find two online. You should keep trying. Sounds like everyone's gonna be there." Matt said before walking away.

"I hate that guy. Hey, are you sure about this?" Stiles asked looking at Scott, "Last time, whoever's controlling Jackson had to kill somebody because he didn't finish the job. So, what do you think he's going to do this time." Scott and Amara nodded. "Be there to make sure it happens."

🦎

Amara walked into a classroom where Allison stood and walked over to Allison. "I'm sorry. I know that you said we can't talk like this anymore-" Allison said and Amara furrowed her brows slightly, "What happened?" She asked and Allison cleared her throat slightly.

"Um, my dad and I... um... He knows about the last two murders. He knows there are two killers, and he and Gerard-" Allison started to ramble slightly until Amara gently grabbed her hands. "Hey, it's okay. That's not bad. If he knows, fine. I'm more worried about your mom." Amara said making Allison furrow her brows, "What does that mean?" She asked.

"When I got called out of detention to go to the office, she was the one that talked to me. She was asking me if I have feelings for you and sharpening pencil as that was threatening." Amara said and Allison raise her eyebrows, "Pencils?" She asked and Amara shook her head.

"It's confusing. But I think it's safe to say that we have feelings for each other... Right?" Amara asked and Allison nodded, "Definitely." She said. "Okay, that's- that's amazing, honestly. But I think you need to be pretending like your interested in someone else. Someone who has nothing to do with our group. Be seen with them." Amara said and Allison raised her eyebrows.

"Like, be seen dating?" Allison asked and Amara shrugged slightly, "I mean- Maybe not dating persay, but-" She started to say but stopped when she noticed the look on Allison's face. "What?" She asked and Allison awkwardly glanced around, "Um, well, I don't-I don't know how it happened, or why I even said yes, but... I'm actually supposed to hang out with Matt..." Allison said making Amara's eyes widen.

"Matt Daehler?" Amara asked and Allison nodded and Amara made a face slightly. "I mean I don't like him but maybe going out with him will be good." Amara said and Allison raised her eyebrows. "Seriously?" Allison asked and Amara shrugged slightly, "Yeah, and talk about him to your mom... I really don't want to say this but kiss him if you have to." Amara said and Allison looked at her shocked..

"Kiss him?Like, really kiss him?" Allison asked and Amara furrowed her brows, "What do you mean by really kiss him?" Amara asked and Allison stared at her for a moment. "Like..." She said as she stepped forward before gently grabbing Amara's face and pulling her into a kiss.

Their lips moved in sync as Allison wrapped her arms around Amara's shoulders and Amara gently grabbed Allison's waist. After a couple seconds they slowly pulled away and Amara bit her lip slightly before clearing her throat. "Don't do that. Please, for the sake of my sanity and ego... Do not do that with him." Amara said making Allison chuckle softly.

Allison pulled back slightly and stared at Amara for a moment making Amara raise her eyebrows. "What is it?" Amara asked and Allison shook her head and smile, "Nothing." Allison said and Amara squinted slightly. "I don't believe that at all but I'm not one to push." Amara said and Allison smiled at her, "I got to go." She said and Amara nodded before Allison walked away.

Amara watched Allison walked out and waited for a moment before leaving. Not knowing Victoria Argent had been watching them.

Deaton holds up a vial of clear liquid to the light. Amara, Scott and Stiles step forward for a closer look. "Ketamine?" Scott asked and Deaton nodded, "It's the same stuff we use on the dogs, just a higher dosage. If you can get close enough to Jackson, it should slow him down enough to buy you some time." Deaton says as he hands Scott the vial and a hypodermic.

Deaton places a glass jar in front of Stiles filled with gray ash. The symbol on the top of the jar is for Rowan which Amara instantly notices, "Mountain ash." She whispered and Deaton looks at her and nods before looking at Stiles. "This is some of what you'll use to create the barrier. This part is for you, Stiles- only you."

"Uh, that sounds like a lot of pressure... Can we maybe find a slightly less pressure-filled task for me?" Stiles asked as he grabbed the jar to look at it. "It's from the Mountain Ash tree, which is believed by many cultures to protect against the supernatural. This office is lined with ashwood, making it difficult for someone like Scott to cause me any trouble but someone like Amara or Makena doesn't get effect by it." Deaton said and Amara nodded in agreement.

"Okay, so, then, what? I just spread this around the whole building, and then either Jackson or whoever's controlling him can't cross it?" Stiles asked and Deaton nodded making Scott shrug, "Doesn't sound too hard." He said.

"Not all there is...Think of it like gunpowder- it's just powder until a spark ignites it. You need to be that spark, Stiles." Deaton said making Stiles's eyes widen, "If you mean light myself on fire, I don't think I'm up for that." He said and Amara chuckled and shook her head slightly.

"Let me try a different analogy. I used to golf. I learned that the best golfers never swing before first imagining where they want the ball to go. They see it in their mind, and their mind takes over. It can be pretty extraordinary what the force of your own will can accomplish."

"Force of will..."

"Hey, this is going to work, Stiles, you have to believe it."

"Mmhmm..."

🦎

Stiles's Jeep swings around the corner and skids to a halt. He, Amara and Scott jumped out and move to the back of the Jeep where two large bags of ash lie. "Hey." Amara said gently grabbing Stiles' shoulder, "You okay?" She asked and he nodded. "Yeah why?"

"You just didn't say anything the whole way here..." Scott said and Stiles just shrugged, "No, I'm fine. Just grab the other bag." He said. "I can't. Remember, Deaton said you have to do it alone." Scott said making Stiles scoff, "Okay, this plan is really starting to suck."

Amara took a deep breath before catching not only Allison's scent but also the scent of gun powder. "No, no, no." She muttered before running off into the rave.

Amara stood by a pillar as Allison and Matt walked in, Allison glanced around before noticing Amara who waved her over. "Uh- Matt, give me a minute?" Allison said before quickly running over to Amara, who grabbed Allison's arm and pulled her off to the side.

"What are you doing?" Amara asked and Allison furrow her brows, "You told me to go out with him..." Allison said and Amara shook her head. "Not here. We have a plan." Amara said and Allison raised her eyebrows, "You have a plan?" She asked before shaking her head slightly.

"Okay. Okay. My father and Gerard, they're coming here-" Allison said making Amara's eyes widen, "What did you tell them?" Amara asked. "I-I told them- I-I had to tell them-" Allison said and Amara's eyes widened, "They know it's Jackson." Amara said while glancing around.

"People are dying, Amara. What am I supposed to do?" Allison asked making Amara look at her, "You're supposed to not tell the people that won't hesitate to kill him! Me, my mom, Scott, Derek, Isaac, Erica, Boyd, we're all here. All the people that your family wants to kill are here. We had a plan." Amara said.

"So do they..." Allison said and Amara shook her head slightly, "This isn't going to work." Amara said and Allison grabbed her hands. "What do you want me to do? Okay, I can-I can fix it. Please." Allison said and Amara shook her head slightly, "Just- Just dance with Matt and stay out of the way." Amara said before walking away.

"Amara!"

Amara ran out the club and was about to go look for her cousin but all of the sudden a car ran into her.

🦎

Amara groaned slightly as she slowly woke up and glanced around to see Victoria sitting next to her. "You probably recognize this device." Victoria said as she looked at a vaporizer, "Pot used to be smoked in a rolled-up piece of paper. These days, it seems like all you kids are given a free vaporizer with your medicinal marijuana card." She said before holding up a small jar to her nose and smiling..

"Mmm. This type of wolfsbane is one of my favorites. Lovely smell. You probably won't think so. And you especially won't think the mistletoe smells good." She said before putting it into through vaporizer. "What are you doing...?" Amara asked weakly and Victoria smiled, "Isn't it obvious? I'm killing you." She said.

Amara coughed slightly as Victoria waved the smoke towards her. "It's going to look like an accident... Like you hyperventilated. Your school records show you used yo have a pretty bad panic attacks after the fire." Victoria said as Amara groaned in pain.

"Stop..." She said weakly as her eyes started to glow her golden yellow-firey red mix and Victoria smiled. "Too late! Looks like it's working." She said as Amara started to shift, she slowly started to push herself up making Victoria's smile fall.

"Uh-uh-uh..." She said before kicking Amara off the bench making Amara groan, "My mom... She'll know it was you..." Amara said weakly as Victoria walked around her. "Alpha... Beta... But what are you, Amara? Omega. Don't you know the lone wolf never survives without a pack? I've heard the cry of an Omega. It's a miserable sound, the howl of a lone wolf..." Victoria said and Amara gritted her teeth slightly.

"I'm not..." Amara mumbled slightly making Victoria furrow her brows, "What? What is it?" Victoria asked. "I'm not... an Omega." Amara said before letting out a weak but loud roar.

Outside the club, with Stiles, Scott, Isaac, Erica and Makena, Derek and Scott's heads shot up when he heard Amara's roar.

"Amara..." Derek said in a slight whisper making Makena look at him, "Break it." Derek said making Stiles look at him crazy. "What? No way." He said and Derek rolled his eyes, "Amara's dying!" Derek said making all their eyes widen.

"Okay, what? How do you know that?" Stiles asked, "Stiles, just break it!" Makena said making. Stiles drop down to the ground and blows the ash away with his hands. Derek looked at Makena with nodded and almost immediately they both ran off in the direction the howl came from.

Just as Amara stops breathing- the door bursts open and Makena and Derek crashes in, eyes darting across the room. Amara on the floor, the vaporizer, but there was no Victoria in sight, because she's behind them. Raising up a tactical knife, she plunges it right into Derek's back. Derek's eyes flare red as he roars in pain while Makena runs over and turns off the vaporizer before running over to her daughter.

With an animal ferocity of her own, Victoria rips the knife out, preparing to stab again, but Derek spins to defend himself, teeth and claws slashing out. Victoria staggers off him, knife clattering to the floor. Their bodies move fast, impossible to tell what's happening.

Makena got down next to Amara and gently grabbed her face, "Amara?" She asked and Amara made no movement making her let out a shakey sigh. Makena's eyes went completely white and she held her hand over Amara's mouth. Slowly, a thin cloud of the wolfsbane and mistletoe smoke she had inhaled started to come out of her mouth.

A few seconds later Amara eyes snapped open as she took a deep breath, looking over at her. "Mom?" Amara asked weakly and Makena smiled softly, "You're gonna be okay." She said and Amara nodded weakly.

Derek walked over to them making Makena look up, "We need to get her to Deaton, I can only get out enough to keep her somewhat awake." Makena said and Derek nodded. "I got her." He said before gently lifting his cousin up, "I got you." He said in a slight whisper as Amara leaned her head on his shoulder.
