"Cliff Gordon!?" the citizens said really confused, those who still had not figured out who he was before someone said his name

"Vinny, are you recording? this LIVE is worth millions!" Gayle gossip said excitedly to her cameramen

the team was confused

"what the most famous ninjago star doing on this roof?" Cole asked to Kai, still looking at the scene

but the only person who didn't say or did anything was Jay

he seemed to know of its appearance

he didn't care

but he kept looking at him

until Jay put his hands in his hair and crouched slightly

also dropping the scroll into the roof floor

made his friends, wu and Cliff, worry, so they tried to get closer

but then Jay recovered and raised his arm in front to stop them

which is what they did

but instead, Cliff preferred to continue to approach

"go away" Jay said, not looking at him

"Jay.."

"no, walk away, I don't want to see you" Jay said, still a bit conscious

"jay please.. let me help you, I'm here for you-"

"Cliff and-" wu was answering, but a scream accompanied by thunder stopped him

"LEAVE ME" Jay shouted, pushing Cliff out of his arm

"please Jay, listen to me, let me explain! I didn't want what we did" Cliff tried to tell to Jay

"Oh really? but you did" Jay said coldly

he was continuing to distance Cliff from him

but then he heard those voices again from before

"JAY, LISTEN TO HIM, PLEASE"

"OH JAY, DO YOU REALLY THINK THEY WANT YOU? THEY'VE ABANDONED YOU, THEY WON'T REALLY WANT TO TURN YOU BACK"

this last entry blocked Jay from anything

he didn't feel anything anymore, both in his head and outside

he could no longer hear his father's pleading voice

and not even of his adoptive parents who were also trying to call him, even if a little terrified

his friends continued to look at him very worried, along with wu and Kai's parents

his view was no darker cause of the sky and the ongoing storm

but there was a strong white light wherever he looked

he squeezed his eyes and looked at the light in a strange way

until he realized that this light, the one who had just called him, was his Nya

"N-Nya?" Jay said, hoping it was really her

"yes?" answered the light with shapes of a female body

"is that really you?" Jay asked as he let dow tears

"yes Jay, it's me" Nya said with a sweet smile, as she absorbed his tears over the cheeks

"oh Nya" Jay said briefly before wrapping her in a tight embrace

but he ended to almost falling forward

he passed in Nya again, as he had done one year ago to try to hug her

"I'm sorry Jay.. but we can't" Nya said, changing her expression to sad

"w-what? why!?" Jay asked

"you.. we.. we can't, we're different now" she replied, looking down

"What does it mean.. different?" Jay asked, raising an eyebrow and tilting his head like a dog

"you.. you are a human.. and I am the ocean" she replied

"But.. Nya.. I was becoming like you, my element, the lightning" he said then taking a little break "so we would be together forever" Jay ended looking at her lovingly

"what?" Nya said looking at him again in the face

"what, what? Jay asked

"Don't you dare Jay, don't do it" Nya said sternly

and this left Jay confused.. why didn't she want him to become like her?

"Why? I can be like you, live happily and wherever we want" Jay said, trying to make her understand his plan

"I'm sorry Jay, but don't do it, right you have to take care of the team more than ever, especially Kai, for me.. you are the only most important thing I have, and I could not bear the fact that you have given up your life"

"but Nya"

"no, you have to live your life.. get married, have children, and then grow old with your wife and hold yours hands until your last breath" Nya said, dropping tears, even if it were not seen given her form "Did you understand me?"

"I-I.." he tried listen to her, as he always did

"no, listen to me. I was a year locked in my room crying and blaming myself. I-I.. started cutting me again since you left and.. not only in the wrists.. and I broke the promise.. I also thought about the s-suicide, Nya" Jay said holding back his tears

"I could never replace you with someone else" he said, referring to Nya's speech of before

"I'm so sorry to have to do it Nya.. but if no one wants to see me dead.. that's what I have to do to survive. for even though you see me standing, I am already dead inside, and it is tremendously painful"

after what he said, Jay kept his eyes closed for a few seconds

when he then reopened them, he found himself where he was before

above that roof

it was all dark again

and where his father was continuing try talk to him

but he in all this time was not listening

tears were instantaneously falling when Jay open his eyes again.. maybe was for seeing Nya again after a year, or maybe for the eyes that were burning terribly

now he was even more confident about his choice

he knew Nya didn't really want him to leave her or that he had a life without her

and he read her eyes, who were suffering and full of remorse.. but this convinced him even more

a loud thunder terrified everyone

so also that Cliff would leave him from his undeasing fainting a few minutes ago

he got up on his feet

and this time he raised his hands to the sky and closed his eyes

and suddenly two huge lightning crashed over Jay's hands

Jay met the gaze with Cliff and began to hear his voice more and more

and now, he just needed to complete it, by reaching his beloved Nya
