𝐘/𝐧'𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕

I walked into my dad's home office as he stood in front of the white board which had writing and post it notes all over it. He had a marker between his teeth as he crossed his arms over his chest.

I missed this, I stood back just watching him think. I knew he was brainstorming new bits for work. He used to call me into his office when he'd be working and said it helped him come up with things because I was his inspiration and reason for working hard. It brought back a lot of old memories.

He finally noticed me standing by the door when he turned around. "Hey, I didn't know you were down here." He smiled as I walked over towards the board. "New skit?" I asked as I read the words on the post it note, laughing to myself as I read some of his ideas. "Yes it is. You know, I always thought you'd become a comedian, you liked to put on little stand up shows in my living room." My dad commented making me smile. "Yeah, I remember, I tried to use your lamp as a prop and ended up breaking it when I yanked it out of the wall."

"You had the whole room in tears." My dad laughed as he looked at me and I just smiled to myself. It's nice to be around him again. He was my hero growing up and when he started to drift away, it broke me, more than I'd like to admit. I've always admired my dad, he was my biggest inspiration.

"I know we haven't had much of an opportunity to really sit down and talk but, just know, that's at the forefront of my mind. I'm really happy to have you here, I've been so excited just to have a chance to spend time with you."

"Yeah, Scarlett told me." I replied. "Yeah, I've probably been driving her nuts. I can't wait for you two to get to know each other better, she's a really special woman."

I know her better than you think. "Cosmo was really excited to meet you, he reminds me of you when you were little, practically bouncing off the walls with energy."

Before I could respond, my dad's phone rang. I continued scoping out his office which surprisingly had pictures of me and him almost everywhere. I can't say he was a complete douche of a dad because I'd be lying.

"Hey, I have to go to the studio but, I shouldn't be back too late, are you okay here?"

"I'm actually going out with Madison soon." He nodded before going to his desk retrieving a key and handing it to me. "Just in case you come back before Scarlett." He hugged me and kissed my forehead before grabbing his keys and heading out of the office.

"You look beautiful." Madison mocked as we walked into her place. I rolled my eyes annoyed that this was still the topic of discussion. "Madison, for the hundredth time, it was a compliment to a friend-"

"A friend you've slept with! Y/n you didn't take your eyes off of her the whole time she was talking."

"Because I make eye contact while I'm having a conversation? Mads, I slept with her years ago and that was before we became friends."

"You still slept with her and tonight you have the audacity to compliment her while I'm standing right next to you. Not to mention how long you hugged her for."

This, this is exactly what I didn't miss when it came to being with Madison. Of course, while I'm in a different country she had her worries about other girls but, I didn't have to hear about it every single day because of our time distance and how little we were talking at times.

Now that I'm with her and we're making appearances together, if I even turn my head in the direction of another woman, she basically explodes. I can't have any peace.

"It was just a compliment, it's not like I was ripping her clothes off her body. Honestly, I'm tired of all the unnecessary arguments, I don't know what's going on with you but, it's not appealing at all. I have to go." I said before heading towards her door.

She quickly jumps up and stands between me and the door. "Not even a kiss goodbye? Classic, I guess some people never change right? Once a hoe, always a hoe." She literally has a problem with everything I do. I thought after my last time coming back to the states, she'd be over this jealousy shit but I guess not.

I quickly peck her cheek before going around her to the door and leaving. She's such a headache sometimes. I texted my dad to tell him I'd be on my way back to his house but got no reply.

Shortly after, I arrived, I unlocked the door and to my surprise the house was super quiet. I guess no one's here. I went up to the guest room and took my shirt off and began to unbutton my pants to head to shower when the bedroom door opens.

"Shit- sorry!" Scarlett exclaims as she turned her back and closed her eyes. "I'm not naked, you can turn around." I laughed. "I don't think I should, I was just bringing you towels, I did laundry so I took yours out of your bathroom."

"Scar, seriously, I'm not naked, even if I was, it isn't anything you haven't already seen." I smirked as I looked at her. She slowly looked at me to see the only thing I took off was my shirt, her eyes lingered before she handed me the towels. "Where's my dad?"

"Casey needed help with something so he won't be back for a while." Uncle Casey, I hadn't seen him in ages. I nodded in response as we both just kind of stood there. "I'm gonna shower now." I said before heading into the bathroom.

𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐭'𝐬 𝐏𝐎𝐕

I walked back downstairs after checking in on Cosmo who was fast asleep. I finished cleaning up Cosmo's toys in the living room before heading into the kitchen to put away the dishes when Y/n came in. "Are you hungry?" I asked as I turned to my side.

"Depends on what you're serving." Y/n says catching me off guard. Get your head out of the gutter. "Um- I-"

"I'm not hungry Scarlett, and sorry it was a bad joke?" Y/n chuckles before watching me struggle to put the bowls in the cabinet. "I got it." Y/n says before she comes behind me.

My back was pressed against her as grabbed the stack of bowls from my hands, our hands lightly brushing, before she reaches over me to sit them on the shelf. Her other hand rested on my waist as she continued to reach over me, finishing the task.

We stayed in this position for a few seconds before she cleared her throat and backed away. "Do you need any help in here?" Y/n asked shifting away from that awkward moment. I noticed her shift her shorts which made my mind wander all over the place.  "Uh yeah, can you take the trash out?" She nods as I went to grab my phone.

Ugh. Y/n came back in and washed her hands. I took the time to look her over again. There's no denying she's severely attractive, I just can't see her that way. I'm happily married, she's in a happy relationship, no problems here. I snapped out of my trance seeing her right in front of me. Her thumb brushed against my cheek. "Sorry, you had something on your cheek."

Y/n continued standing in front of me, our bodies closer to each others than they should be. My breath hitched. For a brief second, the thought of crashing my lips into hers crossed my mind and I knew right then and there, this was going to prove to be harder than I previously thought.
