shidou was never one to sit still.

his energy was constant—wild, unpredictable, burning like an untamed flame. he lived for the thrill, for the rush of adrenaline that came with every moment he seized. and right now? right now, he was chasing you.

literally.

"c'mon, baby, don't run from me!" his voice rang out through the park, teasing and full of amusement as you bolted ahead, trying to escape.

it had started as a simple walk—just the two of you, strolling through the quiet streets, the air cool against your skin. but then, shidou had nudged you, smirking as he casually threw an arm around your shoulder, murmuring something about how cute you looked when you pouted at his antics.

so, naturally, you had shoved him away playfully and took off running.

big mistake.

because now, shidou was hunting you down.

you knew he was fast—of course you did. but knowing and experiencing it were two very different things.

your breath came in quick bursts as you weaved between trees, trying to create distance, but you could already hear him getting closer.

"you really think you can outrun me?" he laughed, and you could hear the cocky grin in his voice. "babe, that's cute."

before you could react, you felt strong arms wrap around your waist, and in an instant, you were lifted off the ground. a startled yelp left your lips as shidou spun you around effortlessly before tossing both of you onto the soft grass, his weight pinning you down.

"gotcha."

he grinned down at you, his face inches from yours, strands of hair falling into his eyes.

you glared at him, breathless. "you cheated."

he laughed, his chest rising and falling against yours. "nah, you just suck at running."

you huffed, trying to push him off, but he didn't budge. instead, he just smirked, tilting his head as he watched you struggle beneath him.

"you're cute when you're mad, y'know that?"

you narrowed your eyes. "i swear—"

before you could finish, shidou suddenly leaned in closer, his breath warm against your skin.

"what if i kissed you right now?" he murmured, voice low, teasing.

your heart skipped a beat.

you knew shidou loved to play these little games—pushing buttons, testing limits. but something about the way he was looking at you now, the way his gaze flickered down to your lips, made your stomach twist in a way that had nothing to do with frustration.

"then i'd bite you," you muttered, trying to sound unaffected.

his grin widened. "kinky."

you smacked his shoulder. "shut up."

he chuckled, but he didn't move away. if anything, he lingered, his fingers tracing slow, absentminded circles against your waist, his knee pressing just slightly between your legs.

you swallowed, suddenly hyper-aware of everything—the weight of him on top of you, the heat radiating from his body, the way his golden eyes flickered with something dangerous.

you hated that it made you feel a little breathless.

"you like me, don't you?" he mused, voice smooth as silk.

you scoffed. "you're so full of yourself."

he hummed, unconvinced. "mm, maybe. but i think you like it."

before you could deny it, he suddenly rolled off of you, stretching his arms behind his head as he lay beside you on the grass.

you exhaled slowly, trying to calm the rapid beating of your heart.

after a moment, he turned his head, watching you. his usual grin had softened into something more relaxed, something almost fond.

"you're fun," he murmured.

you blinked at him, caught off guard by the sincerity in his tone.

he smirked at your expression. "what? surprised i can say something normal?"

you snorted. "a little, yeah."

he laughed, the sound carefree and unrestrained, before turning back to stare at the night sky above you.

for a moment, there was silence. a comfortable one.

then, just as you were starting to relax, shidou suddenly rolled over, propping himself up on one elbow as he leaned way too close again.

"hey," he murmured. "wanna make out?"

you groaned, shoving his face away.

he just laughed.
