- Winter Is Coming

π—Ÿπ—¬π—₯𝗔 𝗦𝗧𝗔π—₯π—ž 𝗛𝗔𝗗 spent the majority of her life in Winterfell and never had really traveled anywhere due to her brothers and father who are really overprotective over the blonde beauty. From a young age, Lyra knew she was different seeing as she didn't look like the rest of her siblings with the red Tully hair or dark raven hair and then there's the fact that Catelyn never really accepted her and would treat her and Jon differently than she did to Robb, Sansa, Arya, Bran and Rickon.

The only difference is that she wasn't as horrible and nasty to Lyra like she was with Jon probably because she knew the true heritage of Lyra Stark. Eddard Stark all treated his children equally but it was quite clear that Lyra was his favourite maybe it was because she was the only thing he had left of his sister as Lyra was the daughter of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen.

Ned Stark had kept his promise to his little sister and brought Lyra up as his own child, he protected her from those who wish to harm her and educated her especially her fathers tongue which is high Valyrian as he knew he couldn't keep to truth from her forever and sooner or later Lyra will find out that he is not her father and that she is one of the last few Targaryen's that are alive including her aunt and uncle.

At the age of 16, Lyra found it hard especially due to the attention that she brought because her beauty and her kindness and that many people have talked about the blonde beauty and had became extremely intrigued with Lyra Stark which meant that her father had received dozens of marriage proposals but Ned Stark wanted Lyra to find love of her own and not be forced in a marriage like a brood mare it is what her mother and father would of wanted.

The relationship between Eric Asulf and Lyra Stark was an confusing one. In the beginning the two hated each other and would do anything in their power to annoy one another but as they grew older it turned into something more and instead of irritating and annoying each other they would constantly flirt and often found themselves in one's company when they found sometime to get away from their family's.

Lyra Stark was the breathe of fresh air that everyone needed in their lives especially Eric who had moved to winterfell not long after his mother died and was clouded with grief and anger. Lyra Stark knew that he would never hurt her as he was just as protective over her as her family is. The only thing that she didn't expect was to fall in love him and he to fall in love with her.

After the passing of Jon Arryn, the Lannister's would soon arrive and turn everyone's life upside down especially Lyra who didn't know it at the time was forced into an arranged marriage with a man she had no knowledge off as all Lyra wanted was to stay with her family and probably in the near future to marry Eric and start her life with him but this was only the beginning and soon enough she will realise that she is pulled into the games of thrones.

The fluorescent light of the beam of sunlight peaked through the curtains of the windows of Eric's chambers as the warm heat of the sunlight collided with the bodies of Eric's and Lyra's, who embraced one another under the soft sheets in the bed. Lyra's check was rested against Eric's bare chest, rising as he breathed gently running his fingers through her blonde hair.

Eric had been awake for quite a while now, after the night that they had and the amount of love that he carried for this girl in his arms, he couldn't help but stare at her with a look of adoration on his face as she slept peacefully. In all honesty, Eric still couldn't believe he was loved by a beautiful and selfless women like Lyra. After everything they have been through together he couldn't help but feel unworthy of her love, but right now he was happy with the time they've spent together and happy just to call her his without any drama or gossip going around Winterfell about them both.

Lyra groaned quietly as the sunlight shined directly into her closed eyelids causing her to squint them shut as she turned over with a wince attempting to go back to sleep before the sound of Eric's chuckle was heard causing a small smile to appear on her lips as she let out a groan turning around to face him, " I can sense you staring at me, Eric" Lyra muttered as she let out a quiet groan raising her hand to rub her eyes.

"Oh, come on. Don't act like you don't enjoy it" Eric replied with a grin, brushing her hair out of her face looking down at Lyra in his arms causing the blonde haired girl to chuckle in amusement as she lightly slapped his arm playfully, " I hate you" she grumbled with a pout on her lips causing Eric to chuckle as he looked down at her in awe and adoration, "I seriously doubt that. That's not what you were saying last night"

"Eric" Lyra scolded Eric with wide eyed as she sat up from the bed, sitting against the bed frame shaking her head at his dramatics as she stared down at Eric with a small smile, " How long have you been awake anyways?" Eric shrugging his shoulders as he twirled his fingers in her hair and replied, " Not that long. I didn't want to wake you, you seemed peaceful and I know you've not been getting much sleep lately"

Lyra chuckled with a roll of her eyes glancing away from Eric before turning back to face him seeing the concerned expression on his face but before she could ask him what was wrong he cupped his hands on her cheeks and curiously questioned, " Are you okay? You've been a little distance recently. You can talk to me about anything. You know this right?"

"I'm fine. Everything is good, it's just I've been having these dreams recently... never mind it's probably nothing anyway" Lyra brushed off his concern with a shake of her head as she remembers the weird dreams she's been having these last couple of weeks but didn't think much of it and blamed it on her imagination.

Eric knew about her previous dreams she had as she was concerned about her family especially after the dream she recently had of her fathers death and all he could do is comfort her and whisper reassuring words to the blonde as he would do anything in his power to protect Lyra and her family as it wasn't just the blonde he cared about as the Starks where like a second family to him after his had died.

Eric began to brush Lyra's hair as he sent her an assured look and told her, " I'm sure Ned will be just fine. I mean, if what you told me is true he is close friends with the King and he's just as stubborn and headstrong as you there's no way the Lannister's would even think about touching your father as he is in favour with the King"

Lyra rolled her eyes in in exasperation slapping his chest lightly once against as she climbed out of the bed wrapping the bed sheets around her body as she did so walking across the room picking up his white shirt as she began to pull it over her head trying to ignore the looks that Eric was sending her trying not to give in knowing if she didn't there's a chance he wouldn't let her go.

Eric chuckled in amusement knowing exactly what Lyra was trying to do causing him to climb out of the bed himself walking over to Lyra who was picking up her dress from the ground, wrapping his arms around Lyra's waist causing her to let out a sigh as she let go of the dress just as he begins to press sensual kisses down her neck, " Eric, we can't spent all our time in this room. I have to go meet up with My brothers before they began a search party for me " Lyra mumbled in slight protest as Eric continued kissing her neck causing her breathe to quicken and her eyes darkened in lust.

" I don't see why we can't. I'm sure that your brothers are pretty much occupied than searching for you" Eric mumbled against her skin as he began to nibble on her neck making her gasp in pleasure as she spun around pushing him back onto the bed as she climbed over him lifting the shirt over her head and connected her lips once again with his.

Eric wrapped his arms around her waist switching their positions as he nudged her legs wider apart as he settled between them grinding his hips against hers causing Lyra's back to arch from the bed pushing her chest into his. Eric's smirked in response as Lyra finally gave in as the two of them both moaned loudly as he buried his head into her neck rocking his hips against hers.

Lyra smiled down at her brothers in the courtyard, watching as Bran tried his best to pull the bow string back to his cheek. It was clear that the boy struggled as he didn't have the arm muscle just yet to be able to draw the bow. The blonde winced as the arrow missed the target completely and embedded itself into a barrel a few meters away from the target.

Bran stomped the bow into the ground as Robb and Jon snorted quietly, turning away from their brother in attempt to hide their laughter as they tried to contain themselves. The youngest of the four brothers, Rickon didn't even try to bother to hide his laughter which made Bran scowl deepened glaring over at his younger brother.

"And which one of you was a marksman at ten?" Lyra jumped as she was startled by the sound of her fathers voice as he placed his hand on her shoulder and raised his brows at his sons below. Jon, Robb and Rickon laughter slowly came to a stop as they all avoided their fathers sharp gaze. "Well, if we're being honest here. I was. If I recall I was nine at the time" Lyra spoke up with a teasingly smile on her lips as she looked up at her father.

"We can't all be as accomplished as you are, little wolf" Ned snorted shaking his head in amusement at his daughter before turning his attention back to Bran who was staring right back at him, " Keep practicing, Bran. Go on" Lyra sent a reassuring smile to her little brother and told him, " Bran, you'll be fine. You're not as bad as Robb here when he was your age. I'm pretty sure he hit a soldier in the arm and he was standing behind him"

Robb huffed as spun around to face his little sister, shooting her a glare as his cheeks slowly flushed a shade of red ignoring the scolded looks she was receiving from her parents, " How's husband hunting, little sister? Finally, find someone who hasn't ran for the hills yet. Hmm, what was his name, oh, yeah, Eric Asulf"

Lyra clenched her jaw narrowing her eyes at her brother who smirked up at his sister enjoying tormenting her as the rest of her brothers looked between the two siblings amused by their childish bickering, " You're such an ass. How is your betrothed. Oh, that's right you don't have one yet" Robb rolled his eyes but kept the smile on his face as he flipped his middle finger at her causing Lyra to scoff in disbelief as she made a move to retaliate only to stop at the sound of their mothers voice, " Lyra!"

The blonde turned around only to meet her mothers disapproving stare as she stared between her two children who are always seen bickering with one another, " You're a lady, you better start acting like one. Robb, stop antagonizing your sister!" Catelyn Stark glared over at her son who gulped and quickly avoided eye contact with her as it was a look that both her and Lyra was familiar of especially since she would firmly glare at her children with the same look when they're running around causing mischief and mayhem.

"Yes, mother" Robb muttered under his breathe staring at the ground causing Lyra to snort quietly in amusement as Ned shook his head at his children's dramatics before clearing his throat and changing the subject, " keep practicing, Bran. Go on" Lyra looked up at her father who smiled down at her before turning his attention back to his sons with a look of interest.

Jon rested his hand on Bran's shoulder squeezing it in reassurance, " don't think too much, Bran" the second youngest son sighed heavily as he began to notch the arrow as Robb corrected his movements and commented, " relax your bow arm" Bran pulled back the string bow back further but before he could release his arrow one already flew pass the air and embedded into the target.

Lyra turned around only to see Arya standing there with a victorious smirk on her face causing the blonde to let out a small chuckle as Arya mockingly curtsied causing Bran to drop his bow to the ground running after his sister as Arya laughed sprinting away from her brother, "You got this, Arya" Lyra cheered after her little sister while the rest of her brothers laughed at the two children as Bran tried to catch his sister but it was no use seeing as Arya is older and faster than he is.

"Lord Stark!" Ser Roderick Cassel called out causing Ned, Catelyn and Lyra who was stood on the balcony to turn around to face the commander of the soldiers who bowed his head at the mother and daughter duo, " My Lady, My lady. A guardsman just rode in from the hills. They've captured a deserter from the night's watch"

Lyra frowned in confusion as she sent her maidservant, Lola, a look who was standing next to Theon who shrugged her shoulders just as confused as she was. Lyra had known Lola all of her life and there is no one that she could open up and be her true self to apart from Lola who is her best friend and knew everything about Lyra and would always be there for her bubbly blonde best friend.

Ned stayed silent for a moment as he looked at his wife and his daughter before letting out a sigh before turning his attention to Theon and told him, " get the lads to saddle their horses" The Greyjoy boy had been a ward to the Starks for nearly eight years now. Lyra had grown up with him, though she wasn't too close she actually quite disliked him due to the cruel comments he would call out to her and would no stop flirt with her and not take no for answer even if it was quite clear that she had no interest in him as it was Eric that stole her attention and her heart.

Theon nodded his head as bowed excusing himself to go and inform the Stark brothers, " Lyra, you're coming with us too" The blonde looked at her mother who clenched her jaw with an angry look glaring at her father as Lyra nodded her head walking away with Lola not wanting to be a witness of her mothers wrath.

Lyra walked through the castle as she made her way to her room making small talk with Lola before they entered her room as the brunette helped the blonde get dressed out of her green dress she was wearing and into a pair of riding breeches and putting on a her boots that was near her dressing table before grabbing her white fluffy cloak as she smiled dismissing Lola as she then made her way towards the stable where her brothers and father were waiting for her.
