BLACK WIDOW shot and stabbed at the enemies, taking down as many Outriders as she could. The women cleared the way for Carol to fly through with the gauntlet with ease. Nova, Wanda and Valkyrie went up to destroy the leviathans.

Nova flies further out and ends up in front of Bucky and Sam who were tangled up with some of the Chitauri as a leviathan threatens to land right on them.

Still floating above ground, she grips onto the leviathan and holds it up with her powers. She clenched her fists and it crumbles into pieces before she let it land onto their enemies. The brunette looked over her shoulder, sharing a meaningful look with Bucky as he nodded at her reassuringly.

"You boys okay?" she landed next to Sam who was on the ground after getting a minor hit. She crouched down to check on him, and he only nodded.

"Yeah," he looked up, not entirely sure of where he's seen her before, "I'm good." She nodded before getting up and towards Bucky.

Reaching out a hand, he clasped his flesh one into hers and gave it a firm squeeze. "You scared the shit out of me," he said to her and she pursed her lips.

"I didn't have a clue this was gonna happen either," she shrugged. "But I'm here now. And we're gonna kick some alien ass, is that cool with you Sarge?" she had a tint of humour in her tone and he couldn't help but grin at the girl.

"Sure. But you owe me a dance after this shit show," he responded as he refilled his gun and held it up. Turning to look at her with a smirk on his face, he saw her looking at him with her mouth agape and head tilted in slight surprise.

However, before she could respond, they were blasted away from the impact of an explosion. Nova felt a stinging pain in her left thigh, only to find a piece of broken metal sticking through.

"Damn it," she cursed under her breath, reaching over to inspect her wound.

The brunette looked around her, only to find the van that was their time machine had been exploded. Nova scanned the area desperately for the gauntlet, and she saw it. Ignoring the burning pain in her thigh, she levitated off the ground and advanced towards the gauntlet. Just as she landed a few feet away from it, Thanos was opposite of her in the exact same position.

"I was looking for you, princess," he said with a smug tone. "You should've seen your parents. Begging for me to spare you. Such a shame, they died protecting you."

She felt her heavy heart ache as she replayed the scene she saw in limbo in her head, but her demeanor never once wavered. "You'll pay for what you did. The murder of the King and Queen of Ivazar will not be something you'll get away with," she spat, her tone laced with venom.

They ran towards the gauntlet, but Nova threw a ball of energy towards the titan which threw him multiple feet back. Her eyes glowed a brighter purple that it was almost white as purple mists surrounded her entire body. Thanos charged for her, only to be hit again with stronger force by the brunette.

"How?" he muttered under his breath as he stared at her in disbelief. "You're not this powerful. You can't be."

"Never say never," she smirked and took out another army of Outriders that had began to charge for her without even looking.

The mad titan got onto his feet, and charged for the gauntlet. Nova fired her powers at him as he tried hard to power through.

Noticing his struggles, Ebony Maw used his powers to rise parts of the land and trap Nova. She thrashed around in the grip of the stones before using her powers to break it to pieces. But Thanos already had the gauntlet on.

Carol flew in and fought him, gripping onto his hand before he could snap. He headbutts her but it didn't affect her in any way. She slowly floated above with her powers, sending Thanos to his knees. He knew he was losing, so he went to pull the Power stone and used it against the woman.

Nova flew back and landed harshly in front of him. "You're not going to win, titan," she spat.

"You're a mere mortal. A woman. With the slightest enhancement, you can't beat six infinity stones," he said with a smirk.

"Who said anything about beating?" she questioned, tilting her head upwards as she raised her hand that glowed with bright purple energy. Her eyes glowed as well, as her body began to float into the air.

She did what she was meant to. What she was destined to become. She surrendered to her fate. Her destiny.

The bright glow that emitted from her body blinded everyone on the field as it stretched across the area. Everything was surrounded by a purple aura as the battle seemed to have been put to a pause. Thanos' army were stunned, they had lost control over themselves. Every enemy was frozen in place. Thanos used his other hand to cover his eyes from the bright light.

What did leave him stunned and dumbfounded though, was the stones floating off the gauntlet and into the direction of his opponent. All six stones were in front of her as her silhouette was the only thing visible from the glare.

And then they formed a line, some sort of golden strings that formed a necklace to tie them together before gently wrapping themselves around her neck. The light dimmed slightly, but never lost the power.

Pietro watched from the other side of the field in awe. "She did it," he beamed. "She finally did it."

"That's impossible. It should've killed you," Thanos stated as he stared at his empty gauntlet before looking at the stones around her neck. And it was as though it finally dawned on him as his eyes widened. "You're the Infinity Witch," he whispered.

Nova tilted her head with a soft amused smile. "Maybe you're not so dumb," she chuckled. "You should know Thanos," she slowly floated closer to him and used her powers to bring him to his knees.

"I bow before no man," she said lowly, her tone menacing as they both remembered her father's last words. "I am the daughter of the couple you killed with no mercy. I am Queen of Ivazar. I am the Infinity Witch. And I am, the fucking. Death. Of you."

Her glare never once wavered as she raised the same hand that still held the purple glow, her palm facing the front before flicking her wrist and turning it around.

The army of Outriders and Chitauri unfroze, only to turn to dust. A leviathan nearly devoured Rocket and Bucky who were closeby, but turned to dust as well. Soon enough, Thanos was the last man standing.

He slumped onto a stone in defeat. The Avengers made their way to Nova who was only a few feet away from the titan.

She felt her being weaken, but she kept her stance. She refused to show any signs of weakness in front of the enemy, especially not him. So as she watched Thanos turned to dust and was blown away by the wind, she smirked to herself.

"Another one bites the dust," she joked weakly, before her knees buckled beneath her.

Bucky and Wanda rushed to her aid, but the latter took a step back after making sure Nova was nicely tuck in the soldier's arms. "You did it," he whispered to her as he rubbed her back comfortingly, "we won."

She looked around her to meet an army of heroes, the Avengers. Earth's best defenders, it's mightiest heroes, as they all looked at her with respect and admiration for the young queen. She let out a breath, a small chuckle escaping her lips as she nodded.

"Your Majesty," T'Challa stepped forward and bowed halfway, which made the rest of the Wakandans copy his actions with respect. Everyone else on the field began to do the same and Nova turned flush in Bucky's arms.

"Okay okay, there's no need for that. Relax, I'm on your turf," she waved them off and urged them to stand back up.

"We couldn't have done it without you, Your Highness," Steve nodded to her in which she smiled in return. "It's over, we won."

"We won," she repeated, looking around with a smile as she gripped Bucky's flesh arm. She met his eyes with a tender gaze, before breaking it to avoid awkwardness among the crowd.

"Anyone wanna give me oreos now?"

anyway, sorry for the sudden off week lmao. i got random ideas for new books and i had to lay em all out and see which ones were worth the time (a lot kinda were but i had to narrow em down oops)

but instead of a third book which most likely will happen at some point, i might publish a completely new book but we'll see
