As Sentinel enthusiastically spoke with the reporters, Y/n stood with Airachnid near the desk. Y/n began to feel a bit lightheaded. Her attempts to merely hear the conversations between Sentinel and the reporters were mild. She continued to listen, much to her dismay, for an answer to her question: What has Sentinel planned?

Not too long ago, when Sentinel returned from another empty-handed trip, elite cartographers from all over Cybertron were invited to the tower to arrange new mappings of the surface in hopes of finding a potential location of the Matrix. Returning to this memory, Y/n remembered she ultimately led the meeting. This impressed everyone, even herself, as she was usually never at these meetings, or she stayed quiet and listened. The feeling of satisfaction still hasn't left her.

Suddenly, the faint sound of a buzzer from outside is heard in the Headquarters. Y/n snapped from her thoughts to see the reporters moving quietly to certain positions, the one with the camera standing in front of Sentinel, who stood in the middle of the small group. Would Sentinel's plan include the entire city this time?

After a few seconds of awkward silence, Sentinel looked at one of the reporters, "Is it--is it on?"

The whole group nodded simultaneously.

"Oh, thank you."

Sentinel turned to look directly into the camera again and began to speak, "Hello, my friends!"

"Hello, Iacon City. Hello to our saviors, the industrious miners who toil selflessly to maintain our Energon reserves. I celebrate you!" He expressed, speaking with confident gestures.

Sentinel looked over at Y/n for a split second before continuing to speak.

While he made this small announcement, Y/n was tapped on the shoulder by the small reporter from earlier. She turned to look at him, grinning up at her, which made her headache worse.

"Miss--er--ma'am!" he began with his squeaky tone, "D'you know what Sentinel's planning? Oh! He must be inviting all of Iacon into this--it's so exciting!" he beamed, slightly bouncing.

Y/n smiled a bit at the reporter's excitement. "He'll probably say it in the announcement," she responded quietly.  She looked back up at Sentinel, who had just finished presenting a hologram of the Matrix.

Sentinel went on, "This is a setback--but not a failure. Rest assured; I will find the Matrix of Leadership so that energon can flow again. But that's in the future. Right now, I think we all deserve a little fun!"

The small reporter bounced his pads, "Oh, here it comes!"

Y/n began to listen more intently, as she was becoming just as eager.

"Tomorrow, there will be no work. All shifts off-- because tomorrow is...the Iacon 5000!"

The reporter squealed and flapped his hands with joy. Y/n became ecstatic, completely forgetting about her former headache. The other reporters looked at each other with excitement as Sentinel presented a hologram of the Race's symbol to the camera with a smile.

The Iacon 5000 was a race that only occurred once a year. Everyone was very much thrilled to watch it play out again. It also happened to be a very popular event all across Cybertron, so many bots from many other places came to see it.

Sentinel continued to express his eagerness, "My favorite event-- a high-octane race all across Iacon City. Let's see which competitor can prove they are truly more than meets the eye!"

When the broadcast ended, the reporters exclaimed their ecstasy. They were clapping and bouncing their shoulders as they packed up their equipment. Some of them even went up to Sentinel to shake servos.

The reporter by Y/n's side took her servo and swiftly shook it, taking her off guard. Once the reporter ran up to his group, she looked up at Airachnid, wondering if she was just as excited, who had the same neutral expression as always.

Y/n began to go back into her thoughts. The idea of the Iacon 5000 being tomorrow made her feel like the last race was cycles ago.

Once the reporters left, Sentinel let out a huge sigh.

"It really is my favorite event--I've been waiting for the right time to announce it again," he says, forming both his servos into fists as he spoke. He made his way towards Y/n and grinned.

"Hopefully, this time, you're willing to go out there to watch it with me, Y/n," He says quietly, taking her servos in his.

At this time, Airachnid silently took her leave.

Y/n looks up at him and nods slightly.

"I'm willing to."
