His golden hair danced in the wind carelessly, the stark, yellow glow contrasting elegantly against the dark green of the dewy grass beneath us. He looked beautiful. Although I love writing, I can't seem to take my eyes off of him for long enough to write out a coherent thought. He looked so serene as he spoke languidly about University, high school, and how much he missed me during our fight.

We hadn't discussed it until now, but as he spoke I noticed how much the time apart took a toll on him, fresh wrinkles stretching across his forehead in worry. Without thinking, I reached for his hand and placed mine atop comfortingly, quickly withdrawing after realizing we were in a public setting where the world could see us. Amir smiled sadly and hooked his pinky in mine. This can be enough for now.
