"I'm afraid that's just the
way the WORLD WORKS
It ain't funny, it ain't pretty,
it ain't SWEET"

-the story, conan gray

sasha didnt remember much from that night, she had blocked must if it out, but here's what she did remember; derek was dead. he had died when the two were still fighting. she didn't get to say goodbye. she had no family left unless you count peter, which she didn't, or cora, who was planning on moving away again. and now she was sitting in the back of lydia's car, following the whole lacrosse team, stuck in traffic. it seemed crazy but allison dragged her out, claiming that it'll only be worse if she locks herself inside.

"am i getting too close? i'm getting way too close, aren't i?" allison panicked.

"that depends. are you just following the bus, or are you planning on mounting it at some point?" lydia asked.

"yeah i should back off." allison said, slowing down the car.

"well that also depends, do you mean the bus or the ex boyfriend you're currently stalking?"

"well after what happened..." allison froze looking into the backseat where sasha was listening to music. "i'm not letting him out of my sight. and by the way this all started when he came knocking at my door."

‒───────‒°‒❀‒°‒───────‒

lydia phone began to ring, sasha paused her music so that she could listen in case it was something important. lydia answered and held her phone up to her ear. "hey stiles. yeah, we're just about to walk into a movie, you know, taking sasha out and then all the popcorn and-"

"i know you guys are right behind us. put me on speaker"

"yeah okay." lydia put the phone on loud speaker and held out her phone.

"okay look scott's still hurt" stiles said

"what do you mean still? he's not healing?" allison asked

"no he's not healing. i think he's actually getting worse. the blood turning like a black colour."

"that's not good." sasha spoke for the first time in hours, her mouth dry and voice scratchy. "he needs to get it tend to, like right now."

"we need to get him off the bus." allison agreed.

"and take him where, a hospital?" lydia asked.

"if he's dying, yeah. stiles, there's a rest area about a mile up. tell the coach to pull over."

"yeah i've been trying."

"well reason with him."

"reason?! have you met this guy!"

"just try something."

‒───────‒°‒❀‒°‒───────‒

"oh my god." allison winced as she pulled scott's shirt up. "why didn't you tell us?"

"sorry." scott smiled

"okay...just give us a second okay?" allison said, standing up to face stiles sasha and lydia. "this shouldn't be happening. i've seen him heal from worse than this."

"okay, what do we do then? do we just call an ambulance?" stiles asked

"what if it's too late? what if they can't help?"

"we gotta do something."

"you know, it could be psychological." lydia offered

"what do you mean, like, psychosomatic?" stiles asked

"somatoformic."

"english please?" sasha sighed

"a physical illness from a psychogenic cause." lydia said. stiles waved at her to tell her to keep going. "yes it's all in his head."

"all in his head? because of..." stiles nodded to wards sasha.

"you can say it you know." sasha said, unfolding her arms. "he's not letting himself heal because dereks dead."

allison nodded, "so what do we do?"

lydia went through her bag before pulling out a small box. "stitch him up. i'm serious. maybe all he needs to do is just believe it's healing."

allison nodded, taking the small box off lydia and going to one of the sinks. she placed her bag down, pulling out a small light. "he's gonna need another shirt. where's his bag?" allison asked, holding up the needle to a flame.

"um i'm gonna get it. i hate needles anyway, so..." stiles said. "uh do you know what you're doing?"

"yeah my father taught me."

"i mean, how fast are you gonna...i mean, the bus, like the bus could leave."

"okay just make sure it doesn't leave."

"we can help. come on." lydia said before pulling stiles and sasha out of the bathroom.

the three ran towards the bus. coach stepped out of it blowing his whistle. "come on! let's go! back on the bus!"

the driver started the engine and everyone began climbing back on. "do something." lydia hissed.

"like what?" sasha asked

"use your claws or something." lydia panicked

"on what? coach?"

"no! the tire! make a flat tire!"

sasha looked around, checking if anyone was watching before running towards the back of the bus and bending down to the tire. she dug her nails into it and quickly brought them out, feeling the air rush out of the tire. she stood up and ran back to stiles and lydia.

sasha and lydia ran forward as the saw allison and scott limping out of the bathroom. "is he okay? are you okay?" lydia asked taking scott's bag of his shoulder and sliding under it to help support him.

"yeah. stiles. where's stiles?" scott looked around

"he's trying to stall coach." sasha pointed towards the bus.

"we still don't have gas." lydia said, looking at allison.

"i'm not leaving him." allison replied

"then we don't have a car."

"sounds good."

"what?" lydia froze. "that wasn't an actual suggestion. allison wait!"

"it'll be fine okay? we'll get it tomorrow." sasha gave a half smile to lydia.

"fine." the girl sighed. they ran forward as they saw a crowd gathering round in a circle, cheering somebody.

"what going on?" they all asked stiles.

"i told him what was happening with you, and he just went after him." stiles sighed

"who boyd?" scott asked before they pushed their way to the front of the crowd. isaac held ethan by his shirt and was punching him repeatedly, bloody running from his mouth.

"isaac, isaac, isaac!" coach ran forward. danny tried to grab isaac but was thrown to the ground.

"stop!" scott yelled

"isaac!" sasha shouted at the boy. he stopped dead in his tracks looking up sheepishly at the girl. danny ran forward, bending down to check if ethan was alright. everyone watched as the girl and isaac stared at each other before sasha stormed back onto the bus, eventually following her as they piled back on.

sasha shoved her earphones back into her ears and put her bag up on the space next to her, not wanting anyone to sit next to her.
