House: Ravenclaw

I was just walking out of Divination's class when I was pulled from behind. I watched as the other students walked pass me and there were a group of girl behind me.

Unfortunately, Professor Trelawney had to fix up her storage area as she said before she dismissed the class. She wasn't around to see what was happening.

I was pushed to a wall as the group of girls surrounded me, seeing my slide my back down the wall and now sitting on the floor. "Pathetic bitch. Always alone, never talking to anyone. There must be reason for that, don't you think?" One of the girls said.

"I've heard rumors about you. And your criminal parents. Both your parents in Azkaban, ey? Bet they're having the time of their life there instead of coming home to you," another sneered.

Shut up. Shut up. Shut up.

"You don't belong here. You belong in Azkaban, locked up with your parents. You deserve to be there than here in Hogwarts. You have no one here, there's no point in you staying," the other said.

I felt my blood boiling, almost like it were about to burn my skin off.

They all began to take turns kicking me in my legs. They started to laugh. "First one to give her a bruise," one said. They started to kick harder by the second and at this point, it was impossible for me to get up.

"HEY!" A boy from the lower staircase area called out.

The girls stopped kicking as he made his way to come to me.

The girls climbed the stairs to the top.

The boy kneeled down in front of me. I looked at my legs. They were convered in massive bruises colored blue and purple.

I then realized who he was when the tears that built up in my eyes fell down my face. I was afraid that he was a part of it so I quickly got up and attempted to walk away.

It was painful to walk so I held onto the railing of the stairs.

"Hey, wait! I'm talking to you," he said.

"Go away, Malfoy. I've had enough. Now leave," I say.

"What?"

"You're a part of this aren't you?" I asked him.

"What, no! Come back!"

I ignored his words and continued walking down the stairs carefully.

"Alright, you've given me no choice, Y/n," He said. I was confused but before I could think about it he took my bag off of my shoulder and put it on his. He then carried me on his back and started quickly walking down the stairs.

"What theโ€” Hey! Slow down, we're going to fall!" I say. He, in fact, did not slow down.

I had my arms draped over his shoulder as my legs rested on his hips.

We made it down the stairs and into the hallway, next to the Great Hall. He set me down on a stone bench near the doors of the Great Hall.

"Stay right there, I'm going to go look for a bag of ice. If you move, consider yourself with new bruises," he said. Before I could say anything, he was already off into the Great Hall.

I sat down and look at my bruises. I don't know what I did to deserve that.

My parents were framed in a murder but the Ministry didn't let them explain themselves. They were sent to Azkaban and their story made it to the Daily Prophet. Ever since then, I've lost all of my friends, no one looked at me the same and some even hated me.

I was confused as to why Draco Malfoy was acting differently... but the right way? He used to tease me, nothing like what those girls were doing. But now, he's being kind?

I hear a door open and I looked to my right. Draco came back with a bag of ice with a cloth wrapped around it. He put it on my leg. "OW, FUCK!" I yelped. Draco jumped as my sudden action startled him.

I look at him. "Sorry," I say. He put the ice pack back on my leg. "Okay, why are you helping me? I thought you hated me," I said. He sighed and looked at me.

"I don't... I don't hate you. And I know how it feels to feel like you have nobody," he says. "Truth is... I.. like you."

My eyes widened when he said his last sentence. "Yeah. I like you, Y/n. And trust me, I will do whatever it takes to keep you safe. And... not like this, if you let me," He says.

I slightly smile at him. "Fine... I'll let you," I said as I held his hand.

I look up to see my dorm mate Luna Lovegood. She was one of the very few people that still treated me the same. She had a kind soul, never judging anyone ever. She waved at me as she skipped down the hall to the common room with her flowy blonde hair right after her.

It was the next day and Draco and I were about to leave Divination class. The same group of girls walked just right behind us. "Hiii Malfoy," one of the girls swooned. Draco and I turned around. "Why are you with her? She'sโ€”"

"My girlfriend," he said firmly.

The group of girls scoffed. They looked me up and down. "If you have such a problem, why don't you just leave? Ignore me, if you will," I say. The group of girls scoffed and laughed.

"You're pretty fucking fiesty, aren't you?" One girl said.

One shoved me, another slapped me.

Draco quickly drew his wand. "Petrificus Totalus!"

By then, the group of girls were still on the floor.

Professor Trelawney came in just in time to see what happened.

"Oh! Oh my! I... I will be sure to report this to Minerva..." she said. I smiled and nodded as a thank you.

Draco held my face and caressed my cheek with his thumb. "You okay?" He asked. I nodded and held his hand which was still on my face.

He felt warm and safe. Like coming home at the end of the day.
