After the recovery day school was back as usual.

"Settle down. Today you'll be picking hero aliases, with Midnight since that's really not my thing." Aizawa announced crawling into his sleeping bag. The class became euphoric excited to have a cool hero name.

Midnight came through the door with a seductive smirk. "Be careful what you choose or you may be stuck with something stupid, forever!"

Whiteboards and markers were passed out to each individual.
"I'll give you a few minutes to decide on a name!"

What should I choose? Perhaps something to do with my quirk or personality.. maybe even how I look?

You pondered from name
to name aggravated. You noticed everyone was just as stressed as you.

I think I have an idea..

"Okay, is anyone ready to present?"

"PRESENT?!" The class yelled in unison. The tension seemed to thicken.

"I volunteer." You announce nonchalantly. "Okay go ahead!"

Midoriya focused his attention on you. He was very curious to see what you had chosen.

You flipped the board revealing the name Midoriya had waited for so impatiently.

"H/N." (Hero Name). "Oooo..I like it!" Midnight exclaimed with a wink.

You returned to your seat.

H/N..I guess that's good.

Soon everyone had gone except Iida, Bakugou, and Midoriya. He had no idea whatsoever, and resorted to you.

"L/N-San...do you have any ideas..?" He asks with a hopeful tone. You could barely figure out your own alias.

"Don't you have a nickname, Deku or something? Do that and rub it in Bakugou's face." His eyes widened in surprise. Not the rude part but something he had said awhile back returned to his mind.

"Deku is the name of a hero!!"

"T-thank you.." He raised his hand asking to go. She accepted letting him stand at the podium.

Midoriya reveals his name with a sheepish smile.

"Are you sure about that..you could have that name forever!" Kirishima nervously mumbled. You looked to Bakugou who was grumbling under his breath.

"I used to hate it..but someone opened my eyes." Uraraka's mouth fell agape as if it was her, who had changed his perspective of the name. You scoffed in an annoyed manner.

He sat down once more glancing at you as usual. It didn't take long for Uraraka to realize she was not the special one who had "opened his eyes."

Jealousy washed over her. Just what is so great about you anyway?

"L/N-San!" Midoriya called from afar. Sadly you couldn't hear him over the roaring throngs of people. He sighed slightly disappointed.

"Deku, are you coming?" Uraraka asks following Iida to their table. He nodded glancing at you once more before walking away.

"I think your hero name is very unique!"
Iida reassured, Uraraka agreed.

"Thanks guys.." He replied beginning to zone out. They conversed attempting to include Midoriya, but failed to earn his attention.

Uraraka and Iida called out his name louder each time, but you were sitting alone as usual. Everyone else just faded away, including all the noise. Who cares about all these people anyway, why do that matter if your right there?

L/N-San seems to converse with me more then usual..that means I can't give up now!!

A small determined smile spread across his face. He hadn't even noticed you caught him staring.

Your gaze hardened into a icy glare.
Midoriya mentally panicked until you motioned for him to join you. For a moment he was shocked, but didn't fail to disobey your command.

"w-what is it..?" He asks with a gleam of hope. "If your going to stare like a creep, just come over here. " You rolled your eyes annoyed by his staring problem.

You'd never acknowledged it but the more he did it the more he did it the more it pissed you off. "Sorry!" He bowed his head in shame.

What an annoyance..!

You backhanded him. "Tch" He covered his stinging cheek with wide eyes.

"Why..why did you do that?" It shocked him. You'd never resorted to violence when he annoyed you.

"Everyone needs a good slap after awhile, and you sir, you needed one." A small smirk spread across your lips.
Before he could speak you interrupted.

"Just why does Bakugou hate you so much?" At your remark the male looked down.

"I don't know really..he's just always been that way towards me, ever since he got his quirk. He calls me Deku because he thinks it means useless. I don't think i'll ever have my answer for why he bullied me," You stayed silent intrigued on this topic.

so this rivalry has been years long?

"Nonetheless I admire him! He's always stuck to his word and made his goals a reality, I strive to be like that. I want to be a hero not just any hero..I want to be number one, like All Might!"

Midoriya realized he was rambling and blushed in an embarrassed manner. You laughed practically tearing him apart.

"I'm convinced and i'm sure other people have their suspicions of you and All Might. Your only making it worse for yourself." He paled registering you were 100% correct.

He always spoke of being like All Might and anyone could tell they have similar or the same quirks.
He didn't reply, not knowing what to say he simply shrugged.

"Woah Todoroki a lot of pros want you!"
Yaoyorozu exclaimed star struck.
"It's probably because of my father."

Todoroki did have the most votes, but Bakugou had second.

"Exactly opposite of how it turns out in the sports festival." You thought aloud.

"Midoriya, you got no votes!" Mineta exclaimed looking at his pale face.
"Probably because you fought so recklessly." He added rubbing salt to the wound.

"L-L/N-San 102 people want you..that's so cool!" He exclaimed with a soft smile.

Your eyes widened, and face heated slightly.

why is he so happy for me? I've done nothing nice to him, and it's not like we're comrades..

"Perhaps.." You didn't understand why your face became hot moments ago. Maybe a fever?

"Midoriya who should I go with?" You ask with a raised brow. He pondered for a moment.

"Probably someone who matches your quirk or fighting style." He had a point. It would be foolish to choose someone who is your complete opposite.

"I think I know who to go with now. Thank you Izuku." You hadn't noticed your slip up but he surely did.

Midoriya's eyes widen and mouth fell open slightly.

Was that a mistake or are we on first name level?!
